Morning! It’s definitely been a dreary one up in our neck of the woods. Hopefully yours has started off a little dryer, warmer, and sunnier.
I meant to continue on with the weekend recap yesterday, but instead I chose to pick Scott up from his trip and grab dinner. After a long weekend away from him, it was nice to spend some quality time catching up on how everything went in Spain over Chipotle.
Per usual, I ordered a “salad” which basically turns into a burrito bowl when I’m done dressing it up with everything possible. Since I substitute extra salsa for the dressing, the only difference between the two menu items is the amount of lettuce they give you. I like burrito bowls loaded with veggies, so I’ve learned to order a salad and go from there.
Romaine lettuce, brown rice, black beans, grilled chicken, mild salsa, medium salsa, corn salsa, and cheese.
Speaking of Chipotle, this video is hilarious, and got introduced into my life this weekend. Dead on, little man, dead on.
Breakfast
This morning started off less Mexican, and more fruit infused with a yogurt bowl and coffee.
Blueberry Acai Fage Greek yogurt with fresh raspberries, blackberries, Bear Naked granola and hemp hearts.
Don’t be completely surprised when you see the same one pop up tomorrow for What I Ate Wednesday.
😉
After breakfast, I spent the next twenty minutes with a massage roller Scott brought home last week.
He can’t recall the brand, but he purchased it from Sports Authority. Here’s a similar one.
Most of you already know I am obsessed with foam rolling and this little massage bar might just top it. It’s sooooooo wonderful on sore muscles.
And that’s my spiel on them. If you haven’t tried foam or massage rolling before, I highly recommend it! (Similar, similar, similar.)
All right. Time to get moving. I’ll be sure to check in with the rest of my birthday weekend adventures later this afternoon. Happy Tuesday!
Questions of the Day
• What are some of your methods of working out sore muscles?
• Are you a fan of quick, yet fresh Mexican food? What do you normally order at Chipolte/Qdoba/other healthier Mexican fare places?

I LOVE Chipotle too. My order is similar to yours…I typically go with the salad and go with toppings galore. I also smother it in guacamole. It never gets old!
Love the looks of your yogurt/berry bowl! I’m so glad berries are back in season. I’ve been eating them nonstop!
Guacamole – YUM. I actually don’t think I have ever had it there! Crazy talk.
Chipotle is my favorite! Anytime we’re on a road trip, we use Waze to find a chipotle on the route!
Ahhh, Waze. I always forget about that app. Thanks for the reminder!
I love Chipotle. There’s one down the street from me! I always get a burrito with lots of cheese and I add the fajita vegetables too 🙂
I have a foam roller but that massage roller looks like it can come in handy for me! I’m always trying to prevent injuries!
I’m a Mexican food maniac and I’ve never been to Chipolte! I don’t know why…I need to change that immediately. Your salad looks incredible.
Omg I love love love Chipotle! Yum!
Chipotle is SO good!! I haven’t eaten it in awhile though…which is slightly embarrassing 😉 I almost always get a salad, but now and then I will get a bowl. I also always ask for my guac on the side because then they give me more!
Haha, love the trick!
I love Chipotle! Everytime my mom comes up to school to see me that is what we get! I am a big fan of salads as well I love their pork too but I get chicken half the time! Love it too haha and the guac, well there is nothing like it!
All right. I definitely need to try this guac. It’s quite the rage!
I can’t do chipotle! They have onions in everrrrryyyything. 🙁
oh no! That’s so sad. My mother also can’t have onions or garlic, which makes dining out extra challenging!
I mean, I guess I could. I’m not allergic to anything – but I just can’t stand the thought of onions lol.
I love both Chipotle and Moe’s (not sure how wide-spread Moe’s is). I usually go for a burrito bowl as well–and always LOTS of guac!
Ahhhh how could I forget about Moe’s? Welcome to Moooooe’s!
