Hello! I hope you are all having a great Tuesday so far. Mine has been pretty busy. I love it.
I’m currently coming to you from a Panera Bread on a break before I go to the gym for training. I love when I can get free wi-fi, coffee, and a healthy, substantial meal all in the same place. #bloggersdream
Anyways, before I get off topic, I have another month of fashion goodies to share with you. Here we go!
December 2014 Stitch Fix Breakdown
Almost every month, I receive a box from Stitch Fix (<- affiliate link), which is an online styling service I have blogged about several times.
For those of you who haven’t heard of it, you must be new around here. Hi, and welcome! Oh, and you can read more about how it all works here.
The short version of what these “fixes” entail:
• Sign up for the service and fill out an online styling profile.
• Receive your “fix” in the mail.
• Keep what you want, return what you don’t, and checkout online.
Fun, right? This month’s fix included:
These Towne & Reese Kassidy Sunburst Drop Earrings: $28.
(, , )
This Skies are Blue Riley Embroidered Trim Top: $48.
This Liverpool Mira Skinny Pull-On Jean: $78.
(similar, , )
This Papermoon Jonie 3/4 Sleeve Chevron Print Elastic Waist Henley Dress: $64.
And this Skies are Blue Tory Textured Button Front Shirt: $48.
Oh, Stitch Fix. We’ve been on such a great road together this year… but, I have to admit that I was disappointed with my fix this time. Just like last month’s, I just don’t feel like the style was me.
I ended up keeping two items, mostly because I had referral credits sitting in my account. (Thanks, guys!) Can you guess which items?
I was mostly bothered with the materials this go around.
The dress fit like a glove (which I loved), but the material felt cheap. Not worth the $64 price tag, anyways.
It’s a shame too… because it was super comfortable.
(Return)
The next thing I tried on was the pair of pull-on skinny jeans.
I didn’t think I would like them at first, but then I remembered how in love I was with my last pair of high waisted skinny jeans from Stitch Fix. Plus, this pair has elastic to pull-on, which is essentially a comfy early to mid pregnancy pant… when that day comes around.
I paired it with the textured button front shirt, but knew what I was focusing on right away (the jeans). Once again, not a fan of the material of the top here. It came wrinkled, and… it kind of reminded me of my grandmother’s couch. Neither one of those things are a great sign.
(Return)
I kept the jeans on and tried the embroidered trim top on next.
Meh, it just didn’t do anything for me. You can’t really tell here because I have my hand on my hip, but it felt very baggy and unflattering. I also didn’t care for where the sleeves hit my arm. I don’t know… I just didn’t really like this item.
(Return)
I decided to keep the jeans! I thought they were overpriced, but the quality felt good. I have been looking for a really thick skinny jean/jegging for a quite a while and loved the fit and feel of this pair.
I also kept the earrings! For $28, they are a great addition to my collection of accessories. I can use them to dress my outfits up or down and love the dark green color.
Overall Review
Stitch Fix boxes have always been a hit or miss for me. Even though I got two great items out of this one, I just don’t feel like the stylists are getting my style lately. This really bums me out, because I have had some really great fixes in the past!
After making my returns this month, I made sure to check out with a lot of notes. I updated my style profile on their website and also started pinning a lot more of my exact style wishes to my Pinterest fashion board. I decided to skip my fix next month and will be revisiting the service in February.
I always enjoy the simple pleasure of receiving a box full of fashion surprises at my doorstep, so whether I keep the entire box of items or nothing at all, I still do enjoy the service. Let’s just hope my next fix is a little more me!

Disclamer: Although I included an affiliate link at the top, this post was not sponsored. I pay for my service and the clothing on my own, and wanted to share the company with you because I enjoy the service. I do get a small credit towards my fixes if you sign up using my referral link. Other affiliate links are also included. As always, any support is greatly appreciated! <3

I totally agree on your choices! Those jeans looks very comfy yet stylish. Too bad you were disappointed with the other items. I would think as you give more feedback the “fix” would get even better.

I’m hoping so! And I finally updated my style profile on their website. I think that should help too.
Ange @ Cowgirl Runs
The dress was so cute, it’s unfortuate that the material wasn’t great.

I JUST ordered my first Stitch Fix and it’s set to arrive December 24th! (I actually just finalized it today!) So, I’m pretty excited and nervous at the same time. It’s too bad you didn’t have major success this month, especially with the holidays approaching! I’m afraid I’m going to hate everything just because I have no idea how to dress myself! haha
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
O man, that dress IS super pretty! Bummer :/

yeah.. I gave up with Stitch Fix as my experience was similar. It started off pretty good, but when we parted ways after about 10 months or so, I just felt that the fabrics were kinda cheap for the price and I could just do better shopping myself The pants you kept were cute, would have kept those too since you had a credit to use up, but again, Old Navy has some really cute Rock Star leggings for only 34.99 and I got a pair of those and 50 percent off on Black Friday. Really, I think stitch fix is way over priced, its nice to be surprised, but I would rather get a thrill from getting a better bargain that throwing my money away.

I was right! I tried to guess what you kept from the pictures at the top of your post – & I guessed the jeans and either the embroidered top or the earrings. 🙂 I have essentially given up on Stitch Fix – I always felt pressured to buy something since I was being charged the $20 style fee, and the things I really loved either didn’t fit right or were too pricey. I haven’t really worn the things I did end up buying from my fixes, so, like I said, I’ve basically given up on it.
But, I did try Fabletics – and I’ve had great success! I’m loving the leggings I’ve received, and the tops fit well, too. It makes me more motivated to work out.
Have a great day!

I had a bad one too a few moths ago and was so discouraged. I went right to Pinterest to pin away. I am not getting another till February either. I think a break was needed!
Chelsea @ Raw N' Toned
Those pants sound like a dream!! And I really like that embroidered shirt on you, it looks super cute!

I thought those were maternity pants at first, but the more I look at them on you, the more I realize that elastic waist jeans are genius 🙂
