For the past few years I’ve had a go-to everyday makeup routine that seems to go with any outfit or profession. I certainly spice my makeup routine up for nights out, special occasions or just for the fun of it, but nine times out of ten this is the makeup you will see me wearing day after day.
It may seem like more steps (to a few of you) than you’re used to doing in the morning, but I promise with enough practice this routine should eventually take you no longer than five minutes!

Skyler did great walking into KINDERGARTEN with a big smile on his face this morning. I, however, was a bit of a mess on our walk home. 🥹
It’s wild how fast these 5 years with him have gone … 7 since we moved to NYC and into our apartment, dreaming of the day our kids would someday go to the *awesome* school right down our block. 🏫

I dont like spending a lot of time doing my makeup in the morning mainly because I dont like to wear a lot and dont have the time to put so much time into it. Ya know?
Yes! I use a mix & match of different product lines! My everyday makeup routine takes about 5 min. too. 🙂

Yeah, I completely understand! Unless it’s for something special, the last thing I want to do rushing out the door is get creative with my makeup!

Hi Heather. I just stumbled across your blog and was browsing when I came across this post. I, too, don’t like to wear much make-up on a day to day basis. I have 3 little ones and heavy make up is inconvenient and unnecessary. I like to wear bareminerals for my foundation as well. My question is, what foundation do you like if you are going to an event. Like a wedding, or someplace where you know you’ll be in pictures? It’s been so long since I’ve bought liquid foundation, and I was wondering what your thoughts are.
Hi Jessica! Thanks so much for reading. Gosh, it’s been a while since I have used liquid foundation as well. When I do, I usually turn to MAC Cosmetics. I used to buy the heavier bases for dancing on court and would use the Face & Body foundation. I’m still using the rest of my stash there for big nights out (believe it or not) but when that runs out I will most likely go into a MAC store or visit a kiosk and ask them for an updated suggestion. I’m sorry I don’t have a better answer for you!
