I knew this Monday was going to be a weird one. Aren’t they all after being away from home for a week?
First, we woke up to rain and thunderstorms which I found oddly comforting.
I’ll still take rain over snow, so I’m no going to complain. The cats, however, might have a different opinion on the loud thunder rumbles.
After publishing this morning’s (er… afternoon’s) blog post, I wanted to take Roadie out for a run on the trails, but then remembered it was raining.
I put my running shoes on hold and moved back downstairs to complete a workout at-home in the basement. It had been a while since I tried out a Ballet Beautiful workout, so I streamed online via Amazon and gave it a go.
It was exactly what I needed after a week of doing and eating who knows what. This time around, I also had a workout playlist on in the background to liven the ballet piano music up a little.
The sixty minutes of tucking and lifting seemed to go by so much faster!
This clown might also have had something to do with it.
(Why are all of our animals so flipping entertaining to me?)
I worked up quite the appetite and when I finished and went into the kitchen hoping for something to pop out at me for lunch. Last night’s leftover veggies, beans and black eyed peas came to the rescue!
It was just another case of throwing whatever ingredients together into a power bowl and hoping it turns out.
Lucky for me, it did! It may have been the epitome of random, but the combo actually tasted really, really good.
Green beans, mixed veggies, sweet potatoes, black beans, black eyed peas, and feta cheese.
I love when that happens.
Welp, I’m off to attempt to organize my thoughts and life and finally crack into the beginning stages of studying with NASM. See ya in the morning!
