Good morning and Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are ready for a healthy and delicious giveaway to kick start a new week.
About a month ago, an organic meal delivery service called Fresh n’ Lean reached out to me with an opportunity to review their meals and share my experience with you. They immediately agreed to help me host a giveaway, so I enthusiastically jumped on board and was thrilled to receive my complimentary box of three entrées and two breakfasts last week!
Fresh n’ Lean is a 100% plant-based food delivery service that prepares and delivers premium quality, organic, gluten-free, and fresh meals nationwide. All of their meals are made to order, vegan, and rich with nutrients using locally sourced, in-season produce.
Everything I tried tasted decadent and fresh, and I had no idea the meals were vegan-friendly until I saw it on the website later on! The dinners were extremely savory, and the breakfasts tasted more like dessert. I was sad to see my supply run out so soon!
Since Scott was out of town when I received my delivery (meals arrive on Fridays in a cooler full of special microwave and oven safe containers and ice packs), I asked my friend Alex to help me test out the entrées. She was more than down for a girl’s night in, and we dug into two of the meals shortly after a run around the neighborhood.
I saved the breakfasts and one of the dinners to make when Scott returned, and I am pleased to report that everyone loved everything! My personal favorites were the breakfasts (I’m still dreaming about those muffins… yum!), but I thoroughly enjoyed tasting all of the entrées, too.
The preparation is super simple. You can keep the meals in their containers (if you’d like) and choose to heat them up in the microwave, place them in the oven, or transfer them into a pan and heat them up on the stovetop.
I used the oven for everything except the chia for the sake of time on that particular morning.
Here’s a look at what was on my menu:
• Maple Cinnamon Crunch Muffins
Oh my goodness, these muffins.
I wasn’t expecting them to be as fluffy and flavorful as they were. As soon as I bit into one, I made Scott try the other half and I had to tear it away from him to eat the rest in peace. Delicious!
• Cumin, Carrot, and Pinto Beans
This dish had an interesting flavor that I loved.
I’m a big fan of pinto beans, so I was all over it.
• Cream of Cauliflower Pasta
The pasta was especially dreamy. I could have eaten another five plates of it, yet the amount offered as a serving was satisfying and filling.
I loved the combination of cauliflower and noodles. I’d love to find a similar recipe to this and make it at home!
• Mango Coconut Chia
I heated this one up and brought it with me on the way to work last week. I didn’t think I needed to heat it up, however, since most chia puddings I’ve made and tried before are usually served cold. Warming it up took it to a new level!
The mango and coconut flavor really came out, and it made me second guess the way I have been eating chia all along. I must remake something similar!
• Greek Beans and Collard Greens
This dinner was probably my least favorite out of all of them, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t still great.
Once again, I was immediately on board with the beans and enjoyed the flavors and seasonings.

While these meals are low in sodium (win!), they are still full of flavor. Even so, Fresh n’ Lean offers these tips from the chef to play with the spice and flavor levels.
The price of this service depends on what you’re looking for, but generally, you can expect to pay $27.99 per day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner to be delivered to your doorstep.
If you’re looking lose weight, maintain your current healthy diet, or just want to fill your plate with affordable, organic ingredients, you’re bound to love Fresh n’ Lean! This meal value and comparison sheet helps break down what you’re getting versus other avenues of eating and ordering out.
I don’t know about you, but I like the calorie content and price tag of this service!

All, the muffins and granola. The Creamy Cauliflower looks good too. I’m currently do a meal service through a local restaurant and when they started it the dinners were pretty healthy but they no longer post the macro contents and the portions are bigger so I’m ready to either find something new or go back to my own cooking.

The cumin, carrot and pinto beans looks good to me! I’d also like to try the Thai Town Curry Rice
I wish we will have something like this in my country too soon. Chances are high as some multi billionaire companies like amazon and few others are trying to penetrate into grocery market and offering home delivery etc, but it will still take a lot of time as it is hard to change the mindset of people, plus there is big difference in the prices they are offering and the standard market price.

This sounds like a great service. Even though I’m not vegan I am trying to cut back on the amount of meat I eat and this sounds like a great way for me to start.

I would love to try the cream of cauliflower pasta. I can never get cauliflower sauces or soups blended just right…. This would be great to take lunch to work. I hate packing it, and it would definitely add some variety!
Coconut Bali Veggies with Brown Rice looks amazing. I probably would de-veganize it and add some chicken or maybe some tofu or something because I would need some more protein in order to make it a meal.
I think that this is an amazing service.
