I don’t even know where to start. How about … Happy Friday?
First things first, I want to address how thankful and appreciative I am for all of you.
The last post published on LIL wasn’t an easy one to share, and even though I haven’t had the chance to respond to every thoughtful message sent our way, reading them really did make me feel loved. Also, learning about the experiences of others who have walked in our shoes is really, really encouraging. While I am definitely still healing from everything (physically and mentally), I will say that I feel anything but alone, and that’s amazing progress.
So much love is going back to you.
Second, it’s been quite the week. Or should I say weeks? There is so much to catch y’all up on, I just don’t even know. The condensed version? My life is work, play, work, play, and in the words of Rhianna: “work, work, work, work, work.” With a handful of visitors and the final weeks pushing into our studio opening, there is little time left for rest these days.
I’m not complaining, though. The distraction of being constantly busy (and I mean constantly) is actually refreshing. The only thing that I’m not enjoying about it all is the involuntary break that I’ve had to take from blogging. I really do miss checking in here on the regular!
I’m finally wrapping up some work for the night, and considering that it’s nearly midnight with an early wake-up call and commute in the morning, I’m going to keep this week’s batch of Friday Favorites short and sweet. We have several (long) training days and special events leading up to a soft and grand opening at the studio over the next two weeks, so I’m not sure when I will have the chance to log back on with a true version of #FFavorites that shares the latest and greatest.
Regardless, I plan on at least hosting the link-up for all of you. Now let’s celebrate diving into the weekend with a few quick recaps followed by your favorites, too. Happy Weekend & New Year!
Friday Favorites # 171: Week of 12/30
What I’ve been loving lately …
Christmas in New York
family in New York (and dinner at Hunt & Fish Club in Midtown — yum!)
Igloos, cider, and snuggies with a view at 230 Fifth
(and for the record, it’s worth the extra *popular* winter time wait)
Christmas Eve in Tipsy Elves Christmas sweaters
a surprise, impromptu visit from our friend, Barry, for Christmas
(and an excuse to go out in NYC three nights in a row – I’m still recovering … #imold)
anddd things that weren’t pictured at all:
(besides this new studio sneak peek!)
– his & hers Christmas onesies from Big Feet PJs (why I missed this photo opp is beyond me)
– Scott’s homemade meals
– holiday cards
– thoughtful presents from family and loved ones
– expanding my team, training, and hitting sales goals
– pet snuggles
– slowly easing back into workouts
– the return of regular coffee (sad but so, so true)
– all the Christmas movies (what’s your favorite?!)
– Justin Beiber Radio on repeat at work (<- great mix)
– taking one day at a time
Your Turn
Have a wonderful weekend and a very Happy New Year!

Haven’t had a chance to read your blog in a few week so just reading your prior blog post now… Just want to say that with the new year comes new opportunities in every way possible. Do not ever give up hope of a child. After 2 years of trying with 2 miscarriages, we turned to IVF to conceive my now 20 month old son. I just found out last week that to conceive our 2nd child we would need IVF again. It was heartbreaking news, but we have learned to adapt and adjust to the ways our lives have turned. You will too. If you can get through 2 miscarriages, you can get through this journey! While it may be hard, and tears will be shed, envy will always exist, disappointment will be had, there is another side to this. I wish you all the happiness and joy and 2017. Your journey is not over yet!

I’m not sure how I managed to miss both of your latest posts until now but I just wanted to reach out and say how sorry I am. I can’t fully imagine how hard this must have been for you but I definitely understand more than the last time. My husband and I found out that I was pregnant back in September and I miscarried at 7 weeks. Devastated and heartbroken because we really wanted that baby and it seems that everyone we know is expecting around the same time. Sending much love as you continue to deal with this trial.
