Holy guacamole you guys… thank you for an already overwhelming response yesterday’s (EPIC) Designer Whey Giveaway!
You people rock. That is all.
I’m sure you all know what today is… Friday! That means it’s time for me to highlight some things I have been loving this week as part of the new Friday Favorites series so many of us are enjoying posting about these days.
Friday Favorites #2: Week of 9/13
• Coco Cafe Coconut Water
I’m sorry… coffee + coconut water? This may just be the best invention ever.
Scott and I stumbled upon these guys during a late night grocery run at Meijer. We didn’t have this store down south, so for those of you who don’t know what it is I like to describe it as a Target type of store with Walmart pricing. They have a great organic produce section and almost anything else you can imagine. I’m so glad I found it!
Anyways, while picking up our weekly eats we ran into samples of this cafe latte coconut water and fell for it right away. It is a bit on the pricey side, but if you think about it replacing your morning Starbucks coffee it doesn’t seem all that bad.
• Project 7 Gum
Another recent grocery store find: Project 7 Gum.
Project 7 is a company that makes “Products for Good.” I had never heard of the brand before seeing this gum in the checkout line and knew I had to purchase it and research more.
Pulled directly from their website:
“We exist to do good around the globe. We make everyday products like bottled water, gum, mints and coffee that everyday people can buy. For every purchase of a Project 7 product, good is done in seven areas of need
– Feed the Hungry, Heal the Sick, Hope for Peace, House the Homeless, Quench the Thirsty, Teach them Well and Save the Earth.”
Basically, this company turns our normal daily purchases into something that helps others in need. And, for the record, the gum is sugar-free and tastes great!
• Tomato Slices
I think it’s hilarious that I used to hate tomatoes. Like, to the point that I couldn’t even handle the chunks in my spaghetti sauce.
Over the past few years I have grown to tolerate them and now I love them.
I have had several large organic tomatoes this week alone. Slice ’em up (don’t mind the jagged edges… still need to purchase a tomato knife!), add some ground pepper and you have a glorious, healthy snack.
• Trail Running With Roadie
I have been loving the trails this week. I am so glad I accidentally found a few new entrances and exits off of a 10 mile path right next to our neighborhood. If it’s a day where I know I won’t go past 4 miles, I take my favorite four-legged running buddy and I think he has been enjoying his time on the gravel as much as I have!
• Music Therapy
You guys. I cannot stop listening to music lately. It’s been a huge outlet for me and I’m surprised Scott hasn’t confronted me about our recent iTunes charges. Whoops!
I have always been one to get my frustrations out through exercise and music. Ever feel like you need to take some time to yourself and reflect? Music and running and/or a car ride blaring tunes that go with my mood always seems to make me feel better. Swear!
• Pumpkin Smoothies
I’m so ready for fall. Okay, maybe I’m just ready for an excuse to make pumpkin flavored everything.
Starting with this healthy pumpkin spice smoothie saw in my newsfeed yesterday.
Stop it right now. I have a feeling I will be making A LOT of different versions of this as soon as this photo shoot is over!
Speaking of that, I have a long list of errands to run for it before getting ready to go to the Tigers game with some friends tonight. Hope you all have a great night and a wonderful start to the weekend.
Oh… and be careful out there!
😉

Um pumpkin smoothie! What!? My mind was just blown! Going to be trying that one out! Have a great weekend! 🙂
I know. I’m still swooning!
Isn’t the Coco Cafe Coconut Water the best!?! I tried that a few months ago and have fallen in love with it ever since. It’s great before a morning run or workout!
SO good!
I just saw a coconut and green tea combo at the grocery store a couple of days ago. Since I already had both I tried them together, it was pretty good. I have some iced coffee in the fridge I’ll have to try the coconut water with that until I can find that Coco Cafe!
Oh that sounds delicious!
