So, typing “Week of 7” something just happened and totally freaked me out. How are we already into July?! Crazy.
Hopefully your week was filled with plenty of favorite moments or things you are dying to share at the bottom of this post. Because that’s how we do Fridays around here. I go through a list of what I’ve been loving this week and invite you all to join as well!
Let’s get right to it and kick off this holiday weekend with a party!
Friday Favorites #44: Week of 7/4
• LUNA bars
I haven’t a clue of why I don’t buy LUNA bars more often.
Check out these flavors!
YUM.
Every time I have one, I’m never disappointed. I love their regular bars, but have yet to try their protein, fiber, and gluten-free versions. Putting them on the grocery list… now.
• wallflower refills
About a month ago, I mentioned wallflower scents. I’ve been plugging in wallflowers from Bath & Body Works since my college years and was excited to find out Scott is just as obsessed with them when we moved in together.
We have been in need of some refills again and Scott brought home my favorite scent along with a new one.
I have been loving them both, and just so you know, the Villa Bergamot refills along with tons of others scents are currently on sale for $5!
• milk frother
On our recent trip home, my mother gave me one of the best gifts. Who knew fancy coffee could happen in less than a minute?
She bought a milk frother from the BonJour line for herself and then got one for me soon after. She knows how much I love my coffee!
After I get my coffee how I like it, I put a very small amount of skim milk in a microwaveable glass, froth it for about ten seconds, then heat it up in the microwave for about thirty more seconds. I used almond milk in the mug above, but regular milk definitely gets foamier.
You can find them relatively cheap online or in department stores that sell kitchen gadgets and appliances. This barista frother looks like the fancier version of mine and comes with it’s own stand!
• glorified sports bras
It’s a funny story of how I stumbled upon these seamless “sports bras” I am now all about wearing any chance I get.
When we were in the process of moving to Michigan, most of my clothes were locked away in storage, so instead of having to do laundry every day I invested in some crossover bras from Wal-Mart.
Almost two years ago, they were only about $5 a piece and I call them “crossover” bras because they can serve as a sports bra or a regular one with the cups and back strap clip. While in Florida, I found a nude and a striped one and had to get them.
They really are my favorite bra to wear around the house, or even to run around town. I’ve even worn them under semi-sheer dress shirts and didn’t feel a need to have another “regular” supportive one under it. Great find!
• wash-n-rinse spray gun
Speaking of Wal-Mart and great finds, Scott picked up another one I have to share. Have any of you seen a garden hose nozzle made to dominate car washing?
This Bon-Aire Wash-N-Rinse wash spray gun makes cleaning basically anything you can take outside ten times easier and a lot more fun!
The long nozzle makes it incredibly easy to reach the roof of cars, but more importantly it’s been the best solution to cleaning out litter boxes.
Check out the soap dispenser!
The blue knob above it controls whether you spray water or soap, and you can change it back in forth while you’re using it. So great!
• salad spinner
I’m actually shocked I have never really mentioned this one on the blog before. Seriously.
Before I even moved in, Scott had the all-mighty salad spinner in his possession.
I’m not sure where he found this exact one, but nowadays you can find tons of them online or anywhere you’d find the milk frother I mentioned.
Now that I have one I can’t imagine washing greens without it. There’s really no waiting for it to dry time!
Also, I tend to make most of my big monster salads right here in the spinner, then cover it back up and put it in the refrigerator. Why dirty more dishes or containers?
• fresh fruit for the Fourth
I put this post together two years ago and thought it wouldn’t hurt for some last minute fruity inspiration for sides today.
Healthy can certainly still be yummy!
• My parents wedding anniversary
July 4th is always a special holiday in our family. Not only is it Independence Day in the United States, but it is the day my parents exchanged wedding vows many years ago!
If I had to guess, I would say this year marks their 32nd year together. Maybe even the 33rd?
I can’t ask them because they are currently on a cruise celebrating!
My mother jokes that they chose to get married on a holiday so that my father will always remember it, but I think it’s really so that there will always be fireworks!
I’m looking forward to congratulating them on another great year of marriage when they return.
• fav posts of the week
Since I post pretty frequently, I have a feeling a lot of the weekly content can easily get lost in the shuffle.
I’ve been meaning to include at least a post or two from the week that stands out to me on my list of favorites, and finally remembered to do so this week!

And last but not least… another throwback from two years ago…
Happy Fourth of July!

Your Turn

Have a great (hopefully long) weekend!

Oooooh coffee frother, deff something I want! #coffeelovers
Luna bars are so yum! I’ve always wanted to try the peppermint one! I guess it really has to happen now! My boyfriend bought one of these milk frother a little while ago but we never used it. I guess that has to change too 😉 Have a great weekend!
It’s so easy to use! And also, I have that shirt you’re wearing in your pic! Got it on our last trip to Boston. <3 Happy Friday!
I am so bad with washing my greens and veggies. I always wash them, but then I use about a roll of paper towels to dry them. Totally not environmentally friendly at all! We have a spinner, but it seems like such a pain 🙁
I swear it’s so easy! That’s why I just use it and throw everything directly into it 😉
Coffee frother makes a wonderful thing taste even better 🙂
Exactly! And makes coffee even better… If that’s at all possible. 😉
Those sports bras look super comfy. I got some from Target last weekend that are similar. I love wearing them while out running errands on the weekends. 🙂 I hope you have a great 4th of July!!
The brand is No Boundaries, so they’re probably everywhere! Thanks, Happy Fourth to you!
Love those sports bras! I have some that are similar and I wear them all the time 🙂
Definitely guilty of washing them more than any others!
I need to try wallflowers! Those sound like such a good idea!
I love Luna bars!! The chocolate peppermint are definitely my fave! A milk frother is one of the best inventions ever! Foam is the best thing about a latte – I use mine all the time. Hope you had a great 4th!!
I love all Luna bars! I seriously can’t get enough. Happy anniversary to your rents! Fireworks every anniversary is def a perk 🙂
