Happy Friday! Today I woke up at 4:45 a.m. feeling refreshed, well rested and ready to take on the day. <- Now there’s a sentence I never thought I would say! 😉
Since we opened a new studio, I teach a majority of the 6 a.m. barre classes. Ambitious to think I could handle it? Maybe… but I’m doing fine, loving the fact that I can get the majority of my work done before 10 a.m.
P.S. For those of you in Orlando, there’s a Groupon running today. <wink!>
Now onto the randoms…
A few weeks ago, I complied a post of Glamour Randoms. From recipes and articles to photos and videos, these posts could and will include just about anything. Staying true to a new tradition, here are a few things to get your Friday started!
1. Blueberry Cream Smoothie
It has become a new hobby of mine to throw things I want to use up in our refrigerator into a smoothie, take a photo, list the ingredients and share it via Instagram. After getting a great response to these, it looks like this trend is here to stay. Yesterday, Scott requested a smoothie for an afternoon snack and I came up with this:
The smoothie was good, creamy and filling – just how I like them.
2. Pet Funnies
You might have seen my first Pet Funny video debut with Cali a few weeks ago. Since the pets living in the Hesington household are nothing short of random, prepare to see a series drug on until they stop doing funny things. This, I can assure you, will not happen for quite some time. I hope you enjoy them!
3. The High Bun
For the past few weeks, I have been rocking this hairstyle like nobody’s business. Since I spend most of my days in workout attire, it only seems natural to fall into a hairstyle that gets my hair out of my face. You might see the high bun pop up in a photo or two, and I’m thinking about doing a tutorial video for it.
Yay or nay?
4. Memorial Day Brownies
Besides dealing with Tropical Storm Beryl, Scott and I had a great Memorial Day. We spent the weekend hanging with friends, catching up on housework and lounging around. Sunday night, we went to a friend of ours’ new house and saws something I had to share.
The only thing special under this creative fruit design is a box of brownie mix and a can of chocolate frosting. Great work, Megan. I have a feeling I’ll be making this for the 4th of July!
5. The Best Workouts for Your Body Type
I often come across articles I see on Twitter I want to share with everyone. Occasionally, if I’m actually home at the computer, I will copy and paste the link onto the Housewife Glamour Facebook Page to share with those readers. Very seldom do the articles I share on either site get posted on the blog, so today I have a great one from Everyday Health.

It is a quick read with specific information on working out for your specific body type. I can post for days to do this to loose weight or that to tone up, but after it all you need to be comfortable doing a workout fit for YOU!
