If the title of it didn’t already give it away for you, today’s post is made up of a handful of quick thoughts, treats and things to entertain you. Every now and then I put together a Glamour Randoms post, and since the response has been great, I’ll keep ’em coming… Enjoy!
1. Sweet Kiwi-Pineapple Smoothie
A little over a week ago, I posted a smoothie on Instagram that is 100 percent worth recognizing here. OH my deliciousness, I have never made such an amazingly sweet get-in-my-belly concoction before.
Give it a try… I’m not kidding! 😀
2. OK Go – This Too Shall Pass
A random thought at it’s finest, here is one of the most unique, interesting music videos I have ever seen from OK Go. You might recall their memorable “Here It Goes Again” video they filmed dancing on treadmills. What a talented and creative group they are!
I have watched this video several times, and it still boggles my mind how the production team made everything happen. Can you even imagine the hours it took to figure out the chain of events for this huge domino effect? Crazy!
3. “Chick-fil-A” Chik Pattie Sandwich
If you have been following my blog, it is no surprise that something Morning Star Farms would pop up. I have a serious love for their vegetarian and soy “meat”, and it would be easy to say I use some kind of product at least 2-3 times a week.
While I was recently craving a Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich <- one of my favorite indulgences, I instead settled for a healthier alternative. I heated up a Morning Star Chick Pattie, topped it with pickles and lined a 100 calorie Deli Flat with ketchup.
I have heard they use pickles in their breaded chicken batter, which explains why they top their sandwiches with them. As a self-proclaimed pickle lover, I am a fan!
Of course it didn’t taste exactly like Chick-fil-A, but the resemblance was good enough for me. Scott even tried it out with some leftover Polynesian sauce from our last trip.
Close, but no and a cigar if you ask me.
4. Ceramic Pottery Painting
I finally picked up the piece I painted from the Ceramic Painting Party oh…say over a month ago. I was afraid they would discard it, since it clearly states they would do so after 30 days of being finished.
When I walked into All Fired Up yesterday, I explained my forgetfulness and was fortunate to find my carefully painted spoon holder sitting on the pick-up shelf, still waiting for me.
Whoops!
Have you ever worked hard to hand make or paint something, then forgotten to claim or pick it up?
5. The Choice
I thought the new television show The Choice was a joke when I first saw the commercial. The format of the show resembles NBC’s The Voice by using a panel of celebrities judging blind auditions.
Instead of a singing competition, the contestants are auditioning to go on a dream date with one of the celebrities later on that night. With the celebrity bachelors/bachelorettes chairs turned around, the contestants only have a microphone to lure in a potential date and if selected to compete on a team, they then go on to compete in two more rounds to become that celebrity’s “choice.”
Interesting or a complete waste of time?
With a host like So You Think You Can Dance’s Cat Deely, I thought the show might be somewhat entertaining and caught an episode On Demand. Here’s a snipit of the first and only episode I watched.
Hmm. Let’s just say I won’t be recording it anytime soon… unless maybe Gavin DeGraw is on.
😉
