It’s Mondayyyyyy! Who cringed?
Normally, I would be one of those Case of the Monday’s people… but not today. Today, I am on a mission to make Monday a good day, and the start of a great week.
To be honest, after taking a look at my schedule for the next few weeks I have become a tad overwhelmed. Pretty much every day and/or night is spoken for, and there are going to be a lot of long ones.
This is the point of the NBA season where I remember I am lucky to be doing what I am doing, and have to take a step back to let it all sink in. February is all about a fresh and fun start.
Whatever it is that takes up your time or consume your days, I have always believed it is better to be busy than bored – so I am sticking to that belief.
Monday Morning Motivation
Okay, I publicly admit it. I woke up about an hour and a half after I was supposed to today. Whoops!
Instead of panicking, I calmly took a big cup of coffee downstairs to my little work corner and got to it.
Every Monday, I turn in a recipe as part of my freelance work, as well as a quick post to the wedding blog I keep up with. I usually use a good part of Sunday to turn these assignments in early, and get a kick start to my week by uploading photos and planning out my posts for the week.
Lately, my dance schedule has interfered with my weekly planning and blogging time, so I apologize if my writing seems to be a little off the cuff.
I guess it is what it is.
Whatever the case, I am still going use this blog as a platform to inspire and share a healthy, positive and active lifestyle with you.
While sitting at the computer a little anxious today, I wanted to pass on a few inspirational quotes to help those of you who are experiencing the Monday morning blues…
{Use Monday as an opportunity to start a new, productive week!}
{The kind of day and week you will have is completely up to you!}
And with that, I hope to have kicked out the (silent or public) groans you might have shared with others today.
Like I mentioned, I am using today to play catch up and plan out the rest of the week. I am also excited to get to the gym and take a Fitness Pilates class this afternoon.
Did any of you see the dessert spread I experienced last night at a Super Bowl party? Yikes! I might or might not have been planning my cardio while I was devouring my second plate of homemade ice cream cake. I like to think of it as collateral. 😉
Off to make today a great one!
Questions of the Day
• What is your outlook on Mondays? (Do you dread them, or look at them as an opportunity to start a new week?)
• What are some things you do to change a grumpy attitude?
