Hello!! I hope you all are having a great start to the week.
I apologize for not being able to check in as much as I planned!
I have come to a realization over the past couple of days, and it’s that it takes a very specific breed to be married to somebody who works for the NBA or professional sports. Well, as least my somebody anyways.
Between his anything but normal working hours and itch to do anything and everything he gets the chance to, he seriously doesn’t stop.
I’ve done my best to keep up with him, but I’m just not wired to go-go-go all the time. A lot of the times. Just not all the times.
Yesterday was Scott’s birthday, and I had a wonderful time spending the day with him and his mother. We spent the majority of our time touring the different areas of Detroit and went to a really cool and historic haunted restaurant last night that I am excited to share with you!
I have had an absolute blast over the past handful of days, but I just feel like I haven’t been able to work and get things done on my end. The last time I was really home for an extended period of time was Friday and that was to clean and then fall asleep to scary movies while eating all the Halloween candy.
I’m pretty sure we have gone to bed at the wee hours in the morning the last four or five nights in a row. This girl isn’t getting any younger, ya’ll. I can barely keep up with my 41-year-old husband (who somehow has never really required sleep to function), so now you might understand why it’s taken a hot minute to decide to add on to this little family of ours.
I am the type of person that craves down time at home. I’m not talking about time to “do nothing”, rather time to sip coffee at the computer and have chance to… I dunno… fold laundry and stuff. Is that weird?
Anyways, this week doesn’t look like it’s slowing down. We are running Scott’s mom to the airport, then I’m sneaking back home to get on the computer again before the Usher concert tonight followed by three more event outings later this week. I’m not complaining… I love me some Ur-sher, but I just… apologize in advance for being a little all over the place with my posting schedule this week.
Speaking of music I’m loving lately (and to cut off my excessive rambling), I thought it would be good to share the next batch of songs I have been rotating on my running and workout playlist.
Here is what has been powering me through the long training runs!
More Fall Workout Music
Two things to note… good for Jesse McCartney for sneaking his way into one of my playlists (love that song!), and I had no idea the “Jealous” from Nick Jonas was actually one of the Jonas Brothers.
Get it, guys from my boy band past!
Listen Online
You can always find and listen to my workout music (and all my favorite generes for that matter) on my Spotify profile.
This Fall Favorites workout playlist starts with the last playlist I shared (Fall 2014 Workout Playlist) and continues onto these upbeat songs.
If you’d like to begin listening where this playlist begins, simply scroll down to the first familiar song you see!
Well I better get going. We only have a little bit of time left with Scott’s mom before she heads back home. I’ll be back later this afternoon with some highlights over the last couple of days.
Have a great Tuesday!

Love this playlist! I have been in need of some new running music so I will definitely be checking out these songs to add to my playlist.
Awesome! Hope you like it!
Hi Heather! I feel you! I need my downtime too, and luckily am able to get it now that my hubby is gone a lot of basketball season. But hey — embrace the fun while you’re young and childless, right?? 🙂 Happy Tuesday! We’ll be here when you get back, so don’t worry about not checking in. Sometimes IRL stuff is more important. 🙂
Exactly. I try to keep up and join him everywhere, but there comes a point where I just can’t. He’s another version of human/robot I don’t understand. 😉 Looking forward to catching up on blogs later this week!
I hear ya! I need a decent amount of sleep to function and I need my downtime. I love fun stuff too, but I guess I like it a little spaced out. 🙂 Thanks so much for all the music suggestions.
Oh for sure. I’m the same way!
I love downtime! I feel so bad sometimes, because on Fridays, I really just want to watch a movie and stay home, lol.
Those are my favorite kinds of Fridays. <3 #noshame
Thanks for sharing! I love new workout music and I only noticed one or two songs on yours that I have on mine already so I can’t wait to give it a listen during my next workout!
Great, I hope you enjoy the listen!
I seriously love all of your playlists! I am horrible about looking for new music, and we seem to have very similar tastes! I can’t wait to listen to this on my long run tomorrow!
Thanks Emma! It’s great to hear that you enjoy them!
