Hello! How’s the morning shaping up for you?
Mine started a bit later than I was hoping. I wanted to get up early and attempt a sunrise run like back in the old days, but instead I got up later to rain and a headache. Actually, I’m still trying to kick it. Good times.
You know what has already started to make me feel better though? A big cup of coffee with lots of colorful things on my breakfast plate.
I saw these gluten free wildberry buckwheat waffles from Nature’s Path in the freezer section last week and today was my first time trying them.
Two waffles topped in Fage Honey Greek yogurt and fresh strawberries, blueberries, kiwi and banana.
Um, yes. A million times yes.
Spring At-Home HIIT Workout
Today I wanted to share a HIIT workout I put together for a fellow blogger and FitFluential Ambassador, Leslee. She is currently enjoying Orlando (lucky duck!) and asked me to guest post while she’s away.
She runs a fun healthy living blog called Her Happy Balance and I was excited to be featured today. Here‘s the full post, just in case you’re interested at taking a peek!
Since there’s clearly no kind of outside run in my plans with these rain clouds, I plan to give the workout I put together another try later this afternoon, but inside instead of outside.
If you happen to be somewhere that’s warmer and sunnier, however, I highly recommend you getting outside and enjoying it there. (In the shade for those Southerners, with lots of water on the side to stay hydrated!)
I often take advantage of the extra space in our basement for HIIT workouts, but every once in a while I will take the little or no-equipment exercises outside for something different.
I’m pretty positive our neighbors enjoy the extra entertainment. Whatever gets you to actually enjoy working out is well worth a little embarrassment, right?
Anyways, here’s the HIIT workout, perfect for in or outdoors that is sure to get you sweaty every time!

Completing full workouts outside can get me some funny looks, but it also gives me a sense of calmness and serenity, even though the moves I’m doing are anything but yoga.
I really do enjoy taking no equipment needed workouts outside if the weather is right.
Especially when I have my number one furry fan right beside me!
Okay, friends. Time to get the day goin’. There’s a lot to do before I leave for a women’s retreat tomorrow afternoon!
Questions of the Day (from Leslee)
• Where is your favorite place to workout at-home?
• Do you prefer to workout with a buddy or solo?

I have a favorite running spot that I love to do weekend runs on! Nothing better than some gorgeous views 🙂

Yes! And I’m so glad it’s finally warming up for them!

I’ve never had Greek yogurt with waffles before but I think this is a great idea!
Thanks for sharing this HIIT workout! I live in a tiny apartment so I have a small space in my living room to workout. I prefer working out alone because I usually get distracted when I’m with someone else. I guess I just need to pair myself up with someone who’s really disciplined instead of someone that likes to chat!
Heather
Yeah, sometimes it can be tricky to workout with friends. It’s very tempting to get chatty and not actually do what you came to get done! I think you would love the yogurt on waffles idea 🙂
