Health professionals recommend that you drink at least your body weight divided in half (in ounces) per day. For example, if you weigh 140 pounds, you should be drinking 70 ounces of water per day. Are you drinking enough of it and are you fully aware of what’s actually in it?
It’s pretty easy to become dehydrated without even picking up on it. Symptoms of dehydration can vary, but the most common include experiencing dry mouth, tiredness, headaches, thirst, dry skin, dizziness, and constipation. Before you go diving into all the snacks to curb your hunger, check to see if it’s really the food that your body is craving. Go for a few big swigs of water first and then see where your body leads you next!
August is Water Quality Awareness Month, but, honestly, every other month should be too. I’m excited to be teaming up with ZeroWater to share how important it is to stay hydrated along with how easy it can be to ensure that you’re drinking high-quality H2O!
Because of the taste and the Ion Exchange technology with ZeroWater, I’m confident in saying that there are virtually zero dissolved solids in my water. This is so important, not just for me, but for my entire family — including this little guy and the furry family members, too.
Knowing that I’m now getting high-quality water every day sure helps me drink more of it! I’m trying to get Skyler on board with “cheers-ing” his water with me, so he gets into the habit early, too. It’s the cutest thing.
So, we all know that water is good for us and have an idea of what an adequate amount looks like, but what determines if it’s high quality? You can read all about what exactly high-quality water is on their website, and the break down is very straightforward.
While most filters have a two-step process, ZeroWater has five steps that take a few minutes to fill a pitcher. While I can get impatient waiting for filtered water to fill and cool, it’s so worth the extra time to know that our water is virtually free of all total devolved solids.
By the way, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) refer to minerals, salts, metals including lead, chemicals, fluoride, and runoff polluting drinking water. ZeroWater Technology is the only water filtration system that removes 99.6% of TDS, which is equivalent to the TDS in purified bottled water.
Just like me before I researched more about it, you might not have known that there could be all of these factors that go into filtration systems. Filtered water is filtered water, right? Not exactly. And to put it even more to the test, I set my current filtered water pitcher next to the ZeroWater pitcher and the color of the water was noticeably different. It blew my mind!
ZeroWater filters may need to be replaced more often depending on the quality of your tap water. Believe it or not, New York City has great tap water — or so people say. My zip code measures 40 TDS, which isn’t high but also isn’t zero. You can quickly check the TDS levels of your tap water to estimate how often you need to change your filters and water, too.
The ZeroWater filters come with a TDS water quality meter that tests the quality of your water once it’s filtered at any time. It’s so simple to navigate and figure out when to replace the filters to ensure that you are drinking the purest tasting water!

I drink plenty of water but I only drink filtered water at work so I’d love to win this and give it a try at home! 🙂

Zero water looks like it would be great. I am currently using bottled water and don’t want to contribute to the plastic issue.

We currently use a Brita, but Zero Water sounds amazing!

I buy purified water by the gallons. I won’t drink unfiltered tap.

Hi! I drink my share of bottled water but would love to try out the filtered water at home!
Thank you.

I drink a lot of water, from the tap, as does my toddler It’d be great for my whole family to make the switch! I’m also really curious on if there would be a taste difference because my only real pickiness about water is that it’s ice cold
Mallory
I drink filtered water but in all honesty I probably don’t change the filter out nearly as often as I should!

We drink filtered at home and this would be perfect for my daughter who is moving into a dorm room this weekend, we would love to cut back on the amount of bottled water she buys.

We all know that we should drink more water, but actually doing something about it seems to be such a challenge. It makes it far easier when you have hot or cold, great-tasting purified water on tap really, it does.
