Top Beautycounter Must-Haves For Spring

Hello, hello! I woke up feeling like it’s Christmas morning today because there is a new, clean product in town and it inspired me to create an updated list of my must-haves for the Spring season this year.

If you’re new around the blog (welcome!), you should know that I love Beautycounter skincare, makeup, bath and body products. And, I think it is important to talk about clean beauty, why it matters, and I hope to inspire you to start your own journey of switching to safer products in the process. (Your health and hormones will thank you!)

Now let’s get to the top must-have better-for-you beauty products for Spring. Don’t miss the bottom of the post where I share some current promotions that will save you a ton, too.

Here we go!

Hand Savior

Let’s kick things off with a brand new product that just launched today. It’s called the Hand Savior because it’s hand serum and sanitizer in one product. The nourishing and SAFE formula not only cleans your hands (and kills 99.99% of germs!), but it treats them with hydration in each use, plus there are brightening benefits over time. It pretty much does it all, without the pesticides and fertilizers that most sanitizers on the market have hidden in their ingredient list. (Yikes!) 

This is a top-notch product. I love the non-sticky serum texture that absorbs quickly into your skin. Your hands will be left feeling soft – instantly. The smell is light and citrusy and is not overpowering. The scent is called Mandarin Bergamont, and it has additional hints of Valencia Orange and almond oil. I actually look forward to sanitizing, which is something that I have never said before. I could go on and on, so clearly I am a huge fan!

The Clean Deo

First of all, Beautycounter spent five years to make this into the best product possible, so you know that means it’s GOOD. The Clean Deo comes in a reusable container, so all you have to do is order a refill for your case when you are ready for more. Not only does this save you money, but it also means that Beautycounter has cut its water, fossil fuel and greenhouse gas emissions by almost 50 percent for this product.

This one comes in three scents, Clean Rose, Soft Lavender and Fresh Coconut. My favorite is Clean Rose, but it’s the most noticeable scent. Fresh Coconut is the least scented, and Soft Lavender is right there in the middle. Fun fact, you can mix-and-match your case and refills to try them all.

The Clean Deo glides on smooth and clear and doesn’t stain clothes, which is a huge win! It works all day to neutralize odor and absorb wetness – even through workouts, which is something that I hadn’t found in clean deodorants before. ⁣⁣And FYI, one deo lasts me about two months, with 1-2 applications per day.

All Bright C Serum

Why would you use a Vitamin C serum? Well, Vitamin C is an incredibly powerful antioxidant. It helps to immediately increase the amount of radiance and glow that you see in your skin. Over time, it will increase collagen production, elasticity in your skin, reduce fine lines, wrinkles and give you a more even skin tone.

The All Bright C Serum helps protect your skin from pollution and the environmental stressors we come into contact with daily. This formula has two of the most stable forms of vitamin C that exist in the market. It’s meant for every day morning use, after you cleanse and before you moisturize.

Also, this one is tied for my all-time favorite Beautycounter product with the Overnight Resurfacing Peel (use 3-4x per week at night). They go hand in hand for me!

Skin Twin Featherlight Foundation & Creamy Concealer

Meet your new clean foundation and concealer combo, the Skin Twin Featherlight Foundation and Creamy Concealer. Both work great on their own, but as a pair … you’re covered but in the most natural, non-obvious way.

I absolutely love both Skin Twin products because they feel like addition to my skincare routine more than makeup. That might sound weird, but that’s actually how makeup should feel – anything but cake-y. Skin Twin is buildable, covers imperfections and delivers all-day hydration and a potent dose of hyaluronic acid to visibly plump and even the skin’s appearance. It’s like skincare and makeup in one step!

Use this tool to help pick out which shade is right for you, and if you’d like to add a little brightness, pick your concealer shade slightly lighter than your foundation. (I can always help, too!)⁣ For reference, I wear either Light 230 or Medium 310 in the foundation and Light 1 in the concealer.

Countersun Daily Sheer Defense Facial Sunscreen

I’m a big believer in sunscreen and can’t recommend that you use a mineral sunscreen if you aren’t already enough. The good news is Beautycounter only carries cleaner and safer sun protection for your entire family, with one of the newest products being this daily facial sunscreen from the Countersun line.

It’s meant for everyday use and to layer after your moisturizer and before your makeup. It has SPF 25 that provides protection from UVA, UVB, and HEV blue light rays. I really love that it feels lightweight, and it doesn’t leave a layer of white to blend in. I use it every day that I don’t use the Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer and you only need one pump per use.

Counter+ No. 1 Brightening Facial Oil

Facial Oils! YES. Add your favorite (Beautycounter has No. 1 for brightening, No. 2 for plumping and No. 3 for balancing) to your morning and/or night routine with a few drops on their own after or even mixed in with your moisturizer or sunscreen. It really makes a big difference in cooler climates, and the bottles last forever.⁣

This one is included in my spring must-haves because we’re still transitioning out of the cold weather here in New York. It’s a winter staple, and I usually go from using it twice a day to either in the morning or at night around this time of year. My favorite is the No. 1 for an instant glow and radiance boost, but I also use No. 2 when I want to feel a little extra tightening. No. 3 is perfect for anyone who is trying to fight breakouts or balance their combination oily and dry skin. You can also use them on dry spots and on your cuticles!

Lip Jellies

One of my go-to holiday sets every year is The Jellies! They’re so cute and have become my favorite set to break up to strategically place in different bags as well as break up to gift to others. And once you try them, you get it!⁣

Earlier this year, they came back for good as Jellies Duos, and they definitely deserve a spot on this list. They don’t leave a ton of color on the lips and are so fun. They leave a hint of shade, but if you’re looking for bolder options you might want to look at the Beyond Gloss lip gloss instead, which is just as much as a favorite for me.⁣ You essentially ingest whatever you put on your lips, so that’s why The Jellies Duos are a big step up from the Juicy Tubes from our past. These are much better for you with the same nostalgic feeling!

Counter+ Lotus Glow Cleansing Balm

And last, but certainly not least, the most versatile product on the site. Use the Cleansing Balm as a hydrating cleanser, a makeup remover, to treat dry spots all over, and (my favorite) as an overnight mask once a week. You put a thin layer of it on your face after it’s clean and wash it off in the morning after a night’s sleep. You can even use it as a barrier from your mask to your skin if you have to wear on at work for hours a a time. Apply some where the mask touches your face and it helps with irritation and breakouts.

You can even use it to help heal cuts, scrapes, and cracked heels. I use it on Skyler as a replacement to Aquaphor all the time. I use this almost big jar daily, and one lasts me anywhere from six months to a year!
