Yesterday was a hard hit of reality that we were back in Michigan after a week long of hot Texas weather and sunshine. Following a weekend of enjoying the beaches in Galveston, it was a little bit of a bummer when Scott and I landed into cool and rainy weather late Sunday night.
I spent the majority of my Monday indoors catching up on life, and was okay with that when I felt a chill on my morning walk with Roadie. Seriously? In need of a sweatshirt already? I’m just not ready.
As the day went on, I got stubborn and continued to sport my tank top and shorts on our evening run on the trails. Okay, I actually forgot about it being in the mid-50s and was too lazy to go back inside to change. I figured I would heat up once we got moving anyways.
That I did!
Since we have been away from home for a week, I knew time on the trails with my favorite furry running buddy was long overdue. We made our standard four mile loop, but took our time this go around.
Per usual, I let him walk whenever he needed and snapped a few photos of the surrounding nature while I was at it.
Are you guys getting sick of me sharing these yet?
Because I could literally take the same pictures every time and still want to share them with you.

I planned to also sneak in some sort of circuit when I returned home, but got caught into the black hole of Instagram instead. I decided to cut my losses when I found an opportunity to take a new barre class at my gym later this morning and hit the showers.
Dinner soon followed, as quickly as I could rummage through our refrigerator and pantry to find anything that I could make a meal out of. Our groceries were limited, but I found a winner in deli turkey and beans.
Spring mix, spinach, chick peas, black olives, edamame soy beans, deli turkey and feta cheese drizzled in grape seed oil and balsamic vinegar.
On the side was the last of our strawberries and a glass of almond milk.
My appetite hasn’t been as raging since we’ve gotten home from vacation, and I am hoping that lasts a little while longer. It was the perfect amount!
What Would You Ask Tara Stiles?
In just a few weeks, I will be heading to Anaheim, California to attend the IDEA BlogFest and World Convention and am thrilled for the opportunity to get out there. I am looking forward to reconnecting with some blogging buddies, but am even more excited to learn from fitness professionals and attend sessions given by some of the greatest names in the business!
Before the conference, however, I have been graciously presented with an opportunity to interview Tara Stiles!
Most of you know her as the founder and owner of Strala, the first branded yoga program to be available in major chains. She is also has her own yoga line with Reebok (love!) and is a best-selling author.
I have already signed up to attend a couple of her sessions, and thought you all might be able to help me gather some questions to ask her. What would you like to ask Tara Stiles?
While I could stick to strictly yoga questions, I thought it would be fun to include more “real life” type of questions some of you might be wondering as well. Here is what I’ve got so far:
(Clued in from her Instagram account…)
• You certainly keep a colorful plate filled with healthy meals and snacks. What are some of your tips to keeping that up while on the road?
• What is your favorite type of Strala or yoga class?
• Do you mediate? If so, when and where?
• What is your go-to piece from Reebok Yoga?
I wanted to cap out at five questions, so if you have something in particular you would love to know, feel free to share it in the comments section below. I’m looking forward to sharing her answers with you!
Have a great Tuesday!

What an awesome opportunity. Congrats! You should definitely ask her questions on how to get more people into yoga. For instance: “What do you tell men and women who say they aren’t flexible enough to do yoga?” I hear that a lot at the gym from my clients. I’ve taken a Strala STRONG yoga class and it was so different and enjoyable.

I like that question because I’m one of those not flexible people who has always shied away from yoga for that reason.

I hear the same thing with barre! As a teacher, I used to get the same question and encourage those concerned and stress that flexibility comes with practice. Even as a dancer, my flexibility was at it’s highest level when I was teaching every day!
Heather
Great question! I love it.

What a cool opportunity!!! I love Tara–and every single other person going to that conference, sighhhhh. SO wish I could go…next year!
Love the nature + pup pics – I know I’d personally never get sick of them. 🙂
