Have you ever had one of those blah days… where you just don’t feel like your normal “go-getter” self?
Due to some frustrating circumstances (nothing serious, the last thing I am trying to do is complain here!), I became really overwhelmed and at a loss out of nowhere this morning. It’s probably just girl hormones running wild, but they sure did a number on me this time…. sneaky little guys.
Since I clearly wasn’t getting much work done, I took a break from it and cleaned up around the house a little. Cleaning is really therapeutic for me. I got through a couple of loads of laundry and cleaned out more of our closets in the process.
I swear, both Scott and I are shoe and t-shirt hoarders in denial. It’s horrible.
I originally planned to make up a workout over lunch, but you know… the creative juices weren’t really flowing today. Instead, I took it extremely easy and found a new yoga video to stream on YouTube.
Have you ever heard of Yoga with Adriene? I simply searched “yoga workout” and found her right away. I scrolled through a lot of her videos and found one called Yoga For Weight Loss: Strengthen and Lengthen that sounded perfect.
It was very beginner and low intensity, which is actually what I was looking for this time. Usually I’m all about power moves and flows, but today I wanted to concentrate on breathing, stretching, and getting over whatever was stressing me out.
It was just over 40 minutes long and left me feeling a lot more relaxed. Ahhh, much better. When in doubt, downward dog it out.
That’s what I always say!
I’ll have to tune in to her channel to check out some of her more challenging videos for the future. What are some of your favorite YouTube channels for yoga workouts?
Lunch was super simple today! I am in the very first day of a three day raw foods and juices cleanse with Urban Remedy.
I had the Cauliflower Tabbouleh Salad for lunch and will be sure to share a full review of how it goes with you next week!
All right. Now I’ve got some work to do. Anddd it’s taking every ounce of will power not to grab a cup of coffee right now, since I didn’t have my normal cup this morning. See you tomorrow!
Questions of the Afternoon
• Have you ever completed a juice and/or raw foods cleanse before?
• If so… did you stay one hundred percent dedicated?
• If so… HOW did you give up coffee?
Before I go, I just wanted to say thank you so much for following this crazy blogging journey of mine, even on those not-so normal days. I really do love and appreciate you guys! Always. <3

I completely cut out coffee for a while. The way I did it was to decreases really slowly until I was drinking 100 decaf. There’s no way I could do cold turkey. I had a few blah days last week after the holidays too. I think it’s this time of year.
Heather
I’ve actually been doing only regular in the mornings, decaf (if I feel like I want another cup) anytime after that. It’s been going well! But man… I sure to miss that cup in the morning right now. Hopefully I can make it through all three days 😉

My go-to Youtube channels for yoga are SarahBeth Yoga, Yoga by Candace, and Bad Yogi by Erin Motz. Love them!
Heather
Thank you so much for thr suggestions!

Since being pregnant I switched to decalf (90% of the time), I wasn’t a big coffee drinker beforehand so it wasn’t too difficult for me luckily.
Heather
Lucky!! Haha. I kid. I know, the ONLY sad thing about the day I find out im pregs will be my break-up with regular coffee! 🙁

Haha! You’ll get used to it 🙂

I LOVE Yoga with Adriene! I appreciate that she’s totally normal and even adds in a little humor at times while still getting you in that zen mode. I’m not a big yogi, so I appreciated her down to earth style. Sorry you’re having a weird day. We all have ’em every once in awhile. Yoga and some cleaning therapy is a great way to help cure it! Hope you enjoy the rest of your evening! xo
Heather
Woo, glad to hear you like her workouts! I definitely laughed a time or two during this one, she can be funny! Off to church. That always does the trick! 😉
Christina @ The Beautiful Balance
I do juice cleanses all the time and was raw vegan for a while. I swear by the cleanses but don’t do them for weight loss and just for the detox benefits. You will feel incredible after! I hope you relaxing after the day you had!
Heather
Exactly, my goal isn’t to lose weight, but to just rid my system of all the extra stuff consumed over the holidays 😉 While I LOVE the products, it would be quite the challenge for me to eat raw all the time!

I’ve actually never been a huge fan of coffee — I’m more of a tea girl myself.
Chelsea @ Raw N' Toned
Love love love doing yoga to destress. I did some yoga yesterday after a long break { mainly due to work just being crazy }, and it felt so good! I’m so ready for work this morning, and can’t wait to get home and maybe get some more yoga done. P.s. Downward Dog is one of my favorite moves!! Always feels so good in my back and hamstrings!
Amy @ Amy M4gic
I hope you’re feeling better! Today is definitely going to be a yoga day for me, just need to clear the brain out a little 🙂
I’m actually getting ready to start my first cleanse next week, I’m going with the 7-day version of Dr. Junger’s CLEAN cleanse. And I’ve been wondering about the coffee withdrawals myself!
Heather
Wow, I bet you will feel incredible after 7 days! I’m on day 2 and already feel so much different, in the best way 🙂
Leslie @ Life Begins at 30?
I always forget about checking out yoga videos on youtube. That is a great way to de-stress!

I’m definitely going to be doing some yoga after work tonight! I always feel amazing after!
