It’s Monday, but it’s okay. I have started a new view on Mondays to wake up and be awesome.
While I usually drag a little bit in the mornings, I have slowly realized that how my day turns out (especially now that I work from home) goes hand-in-hand with my attitude upon waking up. No. More. Rolling…. unless it is well deserved after a long night or week first. 😉
I realized the other day that it has been a really, reallllly long time since I have vlogged. Maybe for a reason? I have been known to ramble back in my days of wedding planning, and for that I apologize.
Today, I wanted to break back into the vlogging world to share just a few updates with you in “person”. When reading blogs, I love when people throw in a video every now and then just to be able to see what they are really like, and figured you might enjoy getting to know me just the same.
If I am wrong, then now is the time to leave the page because here I come!
What’s Been Going On Up North
Since this is a healthy living blog, I post a lot about what I am eating or what fitness program I am doing, but try to include every day life happenings into the mix as well. If you keep up with the blog, you probably know a lot of what has taken up our weeks and now months since moving up north. If not, then here is a good catch up.
PS: Ummm… does anybody else notice a slight Michigan accent? Check out how I say “hour”, “post” and “posted”. Whoa!
Hope you enjoyed that little nugget of embarrassment, and if it at least make you crack a smile, I did my job. Happy Monday!
Questions of the Day
• Do you have a hard time getting focused on Monday mornings? Have you ever dreaded going to bed Sunday? (<- I have certainly been there.)
• What are some things you do to help enhance your mood at the beginning of the week?
Mondays have always been tricky for me. I think it started back in college when I had a early morning mandatory workout followed by my hardest class of the week to look forward to. Later, that turned into the start of a work week. After that, Mondays turned into teaching my 6 a.m. barre classes, (which I loved – but never really got over the fact that I had to get up at 4:30 a.m.). Today, I have more of a flexible schedule and realize that all a great Monday requires is a little motivation and good attitude!

What do you do from home, if you don’t mind me asking? As a Comm. graduate, I would love to find something that allows me to work remotely. I know that so many companies are now allowing their employees to do this, but it’s just hard finding one with job openings! I am so much more productive when I’m working from home!
I do not work full-time by any means, but I run a blog for a wedding photographer and do some freelance work for local publications and websites.
Although HWG is not directly how I earn money blogging, I have used it as an outlet to put myself out there for other jobs 🙂
And, of course, dancing takes up the rest of my time!
Oh, fun!
And you say “so” and “snow” with an accent too! Those elongated O’s will get ‘cha ehhhh. 🙂
I never went to the UP bc it’s a drive but definitely check out Traverse City. It’s gorgeous.
Haha. Yup… I guess you are right! Dang.
