Hi friends! I hope you’re having a great week so far.
We’re still in the midst of potty training over here, which means there are ebbs and flows. It’s been an interesting process (we’re about two and a half weeks in), but what better time to tackle it than while we’re still in quarantine? I’ll be sure to share more details of what’s worked and what hasn’t and once we’re further into the process.
Scott is busy volunteering, so Skyler and I had a day date around the neighborhood this morning which included a walk to the park, the playground, and we’ll be onto some indoor crafting before dinner.
Today I wanted to share a round up of some of the most requested things I get asked about in my Instagram stories that I found online. I think we can all agree in saying that online shopping is on the rise, especially during quarantine. So, these are all products that I’ve tried and loved after discovering them at bargain prices via Amazon.

Favorite Amazon Finds & Purchases
- knot headbands
The knot twist headband has become a popular trend over the last year or so. I finally gave in last September and purchased this set from Amazon for a steal at $2.50 per headband.
They’re so cute and practical! I get questions about where I purchased them almost every time I post a story on Instagram wearing one, so I know that I’m not alone in this obsession. I swear, one of these babies can turn a not-so-great hair day around very quickly.
- one-step hair dryer brush
Speaking of hair, I purchased this one per the recommendation of a new momma friend shortly after I had Skyler. This product is fabulous for anyone, but especially those who really don’t have much time to spend doing their hair every day.
The Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer Hot Air Brush is a total game changer, and it helps me get closer to that fresh blowout look than I’ve ever been before. Really.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve never been great at using a large round brush while blow drying my hair. I just never have the patience for it. Luckily, this one-step tool brushes, dries, and adds volume to your hair all in one fell swoop. It takes me a total of about ten minutes to dry my hair, too. I can’t recommend it enough … especially for the price tag.
- all black, all day wear sneaker
This one might seem random, but it has been my favorite all-day wear sneakers for years. I purchased a multicolored version of the Nike Women’s Roshe Two Flyknit V2 Running Shoe at an outlet mall in Orlando forever ago, and then I wore them almost every day while working at Orangetheory. I was so obsessed that I searched for them in all black to have another pair and discovered them on Amazon at a good price point.
They’re labeled a running shoe, but I’m not sure if I would actually recommend them for running long distances. Instead, I turn to these any day I know I’m going to be on the move all day. They’re a slip-on style, and I especially love the woven “sock” that hides some of my colored socks I wear in them. I plan to re-order them again soon, maybe even in a different color!
- clear umbrella
I didn’t know that I needed a clear bubble umbrella until I was wearing Skyler as an infant and it started raining. My regular umbrella blocked my view when I held it in the right position to block the rain and stay out of the way on a crowded sidewalk, and then I understood why bubble umbrellas were invented.
I found this totes Signature Clear Bubble Umbrella for under $20, and it’s still like new more than two years later.

I love the clear handle, and it’s lightweight, stylish, and durable design.
- living room play mat
When your living room is your play room, you tend to gradually transition over to a play mat as a main rug. I fought it for so long, but I got so sick of cleaning up Skyler’s spills and messes from our pets that always landed on our carpeted rug. I moved Skyler’s play mat from his bedroom into our main living room after a particularly frustrating situation one day. It wasn’t the look I was going for, but I decided that we needed a wipeable rug in our living space until there are less messes to clean up on a daily basis.
It took me a while to finally find a design that I really liked, and I was instantly sold with this Ofie Mat by Little Bot Play Mat. It doesn’t scream “play mat” when you look at it, and I also appreciate that it’s reversible. I can quickly wipe it clean with a disinfecting wipe and even use my steam mop to really feel good about sanitizing. I absolutely love it!
- fanny pack
In case you didn’t realize, fanny packs are a thing again and the 90s are making a slow comeback. I realized this last summer, and ordered a fanny pack at the last minute before my girls’ trip to Napa Valley.

(I have the Herschel Fourteen Waist Pack in a mint blue.)
I’m so glad I did, because it was the perfect travel accessory that kept my hands free and all of my valuables right in front of me on daily adventures. It’s also great with Skyler on our walks around the neighborhood when I don’t want to take a diaper bag.
I am so thankful that Scott surprised me with this robot vacuum shortly after Skyler was born. You can get one from many different retailers, but I’m including this one on my Amazon list because their customer service was incredible after an unfortunate accident we had with it last year.
To make a long story short, don’t ever let your robot vacuum run when you’re not home if you have pets outside of a crate (accidents are bound to happen from time to time). We learned that the hard way, and when I explained it all to both Roomba and Amazon, I ended up getting a replacement in the mail shortly after. We run our robot vacuum almost daily (pet hair and dropped snacks from a toddler really do a number on your floors), and it’s worth every single penny we spent on it.
By the way, Amazon currently has it listed at the sale price ($200 off) we found it back in 2018!
- leggings (high quality for a low price)
If you think you have to spend a lot of money for activewear to be cute, think again. I’ve collected quite a few items in this category over the years, and the most talked about brand on Amazon is CRZ Yoga … especially for their lululemon dupes. They’re great! And, almost four pairs of them cost about the same as one pair of $98 pair from lululemon. Yowza!

This is a very popular pick! Close seconds for me are these, these, these, and these. The brand ranges about $24-$30 per item and I’ve heard that their sports bras and tanks are also top notch. I’ll be ordering them soon and will be sure to report back after I do.
- Amazon brand (Solimo) essentials
I’m not always a fan of the generic brand option, but I’ll admit that I’m pretty impressed with almost every Solimo product I’ve tried. My top picks that I order on a regular basis include tampons, tissues, sanitizing wipes (sold out right now), toothbrushes, razors, and more.

I especially love that I can select automatic shipments for an even bigger discount, too. It’s all about value and convenience, am I right?
- moccasin slippers
I’ve always been the girl who puts on slippers as soon as I walk inside the apartment. I’ve tried several different types of slippers over the years, but I always come back to a version of my favorites from the Minnetonka line.
![Minnetonka slippers](https://lifeinleggings.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Minnetonka-slippers-1024x874.png)
I found these a few years ago and even re-ordered them. They’re especially cozy in the winter, but are welcomed on my feet all year long.
Other notable purchases:
- groceries: I get a Whole Foods order that usually includes free 2-hour delivery window on the regular. It’s been a lifesaver during quarantine!
- baby/toddler clothes and pajamas: my go-to brands to search for are Burt’s Bees Baby and Carter’s for usually a fraction of the normal price. Actually, I should do an entire post on baby and toddler finds because there are so many great ones to share.
- Norwex cleaning supplies: reusable cloths, detergent, mops, and more. I really like this brand and you can find some deals on pricing through Amazon.
- batteries: seriously the cheapest I’ve seen.
- sparkling water: the best pricing I’ve found on cases of flavored sparkling water, which is something we order on repeat. I usually chose the brand and flavor that’s cheapest during the time that I search. Bubly is a top contender.
I guess that does it for today! I could share a lot more on Amazon purchases, but I’ll save those for another post down the road. We have a Prime Membership, which is $99 for the year, but it enables you to get free 2-day shipping on almost anything. It’s so worth the investment.
Thank you for checking in!

I love so many of the items on this list too! But Amazon generic razors?? Now THAT I need to try. I spend so much on my current razor blade refills, and I don’t even really like them. Thanks for the tip, Heather! 🙂![My Profile](https://lifeinleggings.com/wp-content/plugins/commentluv/images/littleheartplus.png)
