Hi friends, and Happy Friday!
I’ve had some issues with the Internet, so I apologize for the later than normal posting of the link-up today. I’m actually one of those people who loves when it rains (well, when I’m inside for the day), but I don’t always love how it seems to mess with the wi-fi connection. I was fighting with it for a while yesterday!
Anyways, we’re all good now, and I’m here with this week’s edition of Friday Favorites. I always invite you to play along and share what you’ve been loving in the comments section below. Bloggers, make sure to link up your #FFavorites posts, too!
Friday Favorites #145: Week of 6/10
• Smorgasburg (Williamsburg, Brooklyn)
If you ever happen to be in NYC on a Saturday or Sunday from April through November, go check out Smorgasburg!
Smorgasburg showcases over a hundred local and regional food and drink vendors, draws close to 10,000 daily visitors, and has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in Brooklyn.
Scott and I had actually visited Smorgasburg before we ever moved to New York. We had a great time trying a ridiculous amount of food and drinks with friends to kick off my 30th birthday celebration last year. It’s crazy to think that we live here now!
Last week, our friend Barry was in town, so we wanted take him to Smorgasburg and show him the area of Williamsburg.
We made our rounds through the food tents and found some good ones, including the quail eggs served on sticks. I kept eyeing Ramen Burger, but never made it over there. Since we left, I’ve heard that was a big mistake!
Even without the Ramen Burger, we left feeling happy and considerably full. I’m looking forward to going back again this summer!
• small bathroom hack (towel rack)
I found this bathroom hack and pinned it from the very beginning of our NY adventure. Hoping to free up some space in our closet and make our bathroom towels more accessible, we were on the hunt for a towel rack to be able to roll up our towels and keep them on the wall.
Scott found this online from Crate & Barrel, and I love it. I haven’t always been crazy about the bright blue color of our towels, but I appreciate the pop of color in our white and grey colored bathroom.
• Daily Burn workouts
I am looking forward to trying out six months of Daily Burn workouts thanks to my blogging friend, Theodora. Daily Burn is an online fitness tool that gives you access to workout videos, supplements, nutrition, and coaching. You can stream at home or on your travels!
The program automatically chooses workouts for you day by day, but you can always turn to the library of workout videos to choose something else. I have tried a couple of workouts so far, and I love that you can choose the level you’re up for.
I’m sure this won’t be the last you’ll hear about them! 😉
• flavored sparkling water
Those of you who have been following a lot for a bit already know my slight obsession with sparkling water. While I enjoy a good ‘ol tall glass of ice cold water, there are times where I crave a little bit of flavor or carbonation. I found these at Target on my last trip in and have been all about them, especially in the afternoon for a pick-me-up.
So far I’ve tried the Black Cherry and Berry flavors. Both are delish!

Ashley @ A Lady Goes West
You are doing such a good job of getting small apartment contraptions. We just shoved things behind other things for years hahahah. Nice work, Heather! Enjoy the weekend, lady! 🙂

Thanks Ashley! I’m sure you know exactly what it feels like to condense and try to stay organized. Don’t be fooled, however, there’s still a lot of shoving going on. Ha! Happy (almost) weekend!
alexandra @ my urban family
Smorgasburg sounds like such a good time! Kind of like Taste of Chicago maybe? It’s always so fun to taste test all sorts of food 🙂

Suuuper late getting on the linkup train haha. Whoops! Sparkling water is my current obsession. I’ve been working my way through the la croix collection lately, but I’ll have to check out the dasani ones too. As much as I love my regular ol’ water bottle, the fun flavors just make it so much better.
Have a great weekend!
Emily Swanson (@Emily11949309)
First of all, that cat reaching down for the remote!!! That is hilarious. That would totally be me. Also, Smorgasburg looks amazing! How often does it happen? Does it happen once a week?
I would love a towel rack like that. It keeps the towels looking really nice and neat.

Haha, it’s totally me. Smorgasburg takes place every Saturday in Williamsburg and every Sunday in Park Slope from April until the end of October! I guess we’re pretty spoiled! 😉
Sara @ saralouyoga
That cat is waaay too cute! I’ve never had the weather mess with my wifi like that? Or maybe I have, I’ll keep on the lookout now for sure!
Heather
Maybe ours is just extra temperamental. It used to go out all the time when we would have afternoon showers in Florida!
