Hello, hello! It’s Friday and just because I am not home doesn’t mean that I am not thinking about you all. How has your week been going? Are you enjoying some time off for the holidays? I sure hope so!
Being six hours ahead over here really gave me an advantage to get this post up bright and early. Today we have plans to fit in a little more sightseeing before heading to the part of the city we will be staying for Scott’s work event. I promise to share more about everything we have been up to in the very near future!
For now, lets rewind and cover some of the things I have been loving this week, shall we?
Don’t forget to tell me about some of your favorites too at the bottom!
Friday Favorites #17: Week of 12/27
• holiday cards
First and foremost, I loved getting surprise hellos, life updates, and season’s greetings from friends and family this month… and especially this week!
And to those of you who included pictures of the little ones: they all made us smile. Thank you so much for sending them!
• these American Eagle fitness shorts
I like to think it is a great accomplishment to find cheaper versions of lululemon type of clothing I really like.
I so happened to find these bad boys on clearance for like… $7 a week or so ago. I love where they hit on the waistline and the secret zipper to hold your key or cash in the back. Plus, I love how obnoxiously bright they are. Neon fitness apparel rules!
Quality clearance rack steals are the best finds ever.
• Reebok Skyscapes
Speaking of rockin’ fitness apparel… check out these shoes Reebok sent me. They are called the Skyscape and are the lightest shoe I have ever put on my feet.
I feel like I say that a lot, but I swear sneakers keep getting more and more airy as the months and reviews go on. Also, they are ridiculously flexible.
Anddd clock in at a low 5 ounces in weight! (What?)
Fun fact: the shoe is crafted from the same materials that are used to make lingerie, providing all around comfort in a cute, flirty style. They are even machine washable! I have already worn them around town and to a few practices and have to agree that they are very versatile.
There you go again, Reebok, gettin’ it!
• This performance by ventriloquist Nina Conti
Random, but you’ll see why it made the list pretty quickly. Hilarious.
• holiday nails
I know Christmas is technically over, but that doesn’t mean I have to stop sporting these festive nails.
(Both Essie: really red + set in stones over accent ring finger.)
• Christmas in Paris
You knew this one was coming…
Scott and I are so grateful to have had the opportunity to travel overseas and enjoy this year’s Christmas together in Paris.
I have already let you in on a preview of our trip so far, and promise to have more up as soon as I get a chance!
• Dispicable Me 2
Even though I still haven’t seen the first one, I can’t say enough good things about this movie. Both Scott and I have been wanting to see it (We’re five… I have accepted it), and hopped on the chance to view it in flight on the way over here. I thought the characters were great and it really is entertaining for anyone at any age!
• dry shampoo
An absolute life saver on days where you just don’t feel like washing your hair. Judge all you want, it’s actually healthier not to wash it every single day, say most hair dressers across the board.
You better believe I am traveling with this can while we’re gone! International plugs are so temperamental, so I have been relying heavily on this to minimize hair greasiness and maximize days between washes.
I am sure there are tons of great brands there, but the one I have been going towards lately is this Beyond the Zone can I picked up at Sally’s. On a good blow out, I can make a hairstyle last up to three days! Seriously, I said don’t judge.
And I guess that just about does it for this week. Your turn!
Have a great start to your weekend! 😀
Jess

I really hadn’t been into that store for YEARS until last week. I popped in for a sweater and found them. I’ll def have to start looking more closely at the fitness selection!
