Good morning and Happy Friday!
For those of you who are new around here and found me through meeting at the IDEA World Fitness Convention and BlogFest, welcome! I have been thoroughly enjoying my time in Anaheim, California and can’t wait to kick off another fun-filled day of events.
Getting right to business around here, let’s move on to this week’s edition of Friday Favorites. As always, I invite you to share some things you have been loving at the bottom via the comments section and link up tool!
• Victoria’s Secret PINK body mists
I talked about these sprays back in December, and then again in April.
A couple of weeks ago, I was checking out at Victoria’s Secret and found a new scent. I love perfume, but for every day running errands and in and out of the gym wear, I prefer body sprays and this blue Wild & Breezy bottle completed my set!
This might make me sound ridiculous, but I keep one in my purse, one in my gym bag, one on my bathroom counter, and one in the car and constantly rotate them.
I don’t know why I always forget about the tea store Teavana! Every time I find one in a shopping mall or airport I try the samples and have to go in the store and get something. Everything is so flavorful.
On my layover in Dallas on Wednesday, I wanted to try something different and thought the chocolate chai tea sounded good. Eh… it wasn’t the best. Maybe I should just stick to the herbal flavors, but overall my trip to the store reminded me that I need to visit way more frequently!
• Sweet Potato & Sea Salt Triscuits
You guys have got to try these. Seriously. Our friend brought them over last week and I literally couldn’t put them down for minutes.
They taste identical to sweet potato fries and are now a highlight of my afternoons at home.
• roses in the house
Scott brought these red roses home from Whole Foods last weekend and they lasted for almost a week!
I have always found the best priced dozen roses at Fresh Market, and they usually last the longest.
When I used to pass one on the way home from work in Orlando, I would occasionally stop in and end up leaving with flowers for myself just to enjoy them at home. Depending on the time of year, you used to be able to find them for as low as $7.99! Man I miss that store.
• Fabletics gear
I received a few new pieces from Fabletics this month and absolutely adore the fun print and soft materials of them.
>> Fremont Tank//Koia Sports Bra//Salar Legging
I appreciate the built-in cups and support in their sports bras and think the cut out of this back is too cute!
I wore the other two items all day at the conference today and received so many compliments!
I wasn’t sure how the material of the legging would be (not a fan of accidental see through shots), but they proved to be thick and moisture wicking enough to keep me dry and confident in anything from BodyPump in the morning to PiYo late in the afternoon.
I am also digging both of those workouts, by the way! I’ll be sure to share the details early next week!
• Quest protein bars
I picked these Quest Bars up at the EXPO in the conference today and waited all of five minutes before getting into the chocolate chip flavor.
I had a chance to try a ton of their flavors last year and genuinely loved every single one. The banana nut muffin is one of the best, in my opinion, so it will be savored and in my bag waiting for me when I need it later this weekend.
• catching up with blogging buddies
Katy and I made some of my blogging friends pose with us for a picture with the bars in exchange for two of them. Of course we had to be the obnoxious ones in the front. You can’t take us anywhere.
(Oh hey, Julie, Gina and Courtney!)
Spending the past few days working out, learning from fitness professionals, and talking about blogging with these ladies has been such a treat. I’m also convinced “normal” photos might be out of the question…
(Nice work Kasey, Monica, and Bobbi!)
The conference has been a blast so far and I am learning so much that I can’t wait to share with you. Keep getting in on the sneak peeks by following the hashtags #ideaworld and #sweatpink over the weekend!
Don’t forget to enter in the Albion Fit giveaway if you haven’t already and like cute fitness fashion!
Have a wonderful weekend!
I love Teavana! And those darn sweet potato triscuits! Hope you are having a blast in CA- maybe see you in OH next month for BloggyCon?
Aren’t they the BEST? I’m not sure yet! I still need to decide 🙂
So I have a problem: I am married to a man who isn’t a fan of triscuits. I should have figured this out before marrying him. He obviously cannot be trusted to make sound decisions. I’m just going to have to drown my sorrows in a box….
Ha, I feel the same way with Friends – the TV show. Scott doesn’t like it at all. I make a ridiculous amount of character and episode references, so it was almost a deal breaker. 😉
that workout gear and pants are amazing!!!! i love cute workout gear 🙂
Me too! Clearly. Glad you entered the Albion Fit Giveaway 🙂
I’m so glad you finally got to try a Les Mills class. Now you know what all the rage is about. I’m teaching BODYPUMP tonight. Do you know which release you did?
Me TOO! I loved it! We did BODYPUMP 91, I believe. Bummer you couldn’t come join me!
Ah! You should have tried the samples before getting a cup. I think I like the caramel chai better than the chocolate one. And the Oprah Chai is great too. I love the strawberry cheesecake and peanut butter and jelly Quest Nutrition bars. I think I want to join in on this Friday Favorites next week. I always enjoy reading yours! Have a great weekend.
I know… total fail. I assumed anything with chocolate and chai would be great, and I should have sampled. That was my first mediocre chai experience so far! Caramel chai sounds amazing! The PB&J Quest Bar is one of my favorites! Also, come on over and join the party… Happy Friday! 🙂
Leslie @ Life Begins at 30?
I love the leggings. So cute and such a fun design! It looks like you’re having a blast.
I am! I love going to conferences and think IDEA is one I will come to for years. Hope you have a great weekend!
Lauren @ The Bikini Experiment
Thanks for hosting the link up Heather! Looks like you are having a great time. Can’t wait to hear more. Beautiful roses. 🙂
Thanks Lauren, Happy Friday! xo
Shut UP! Everyone is at IDEA! Why didn’t I go!?!?!?! Have fun and say hi to Katy and Julie for me!
I debated on going for a while! It was certainly an investment for me, but SO worth it. You have to come next year!!
I love that Fabletics outfit. So cute!! The sweet potato Triscuits look awesome! Putting those on my grocery list this week. 🙂 Happy Friday!!
Thanks! Have a great weekend as well! 🙂
Jaclyn @ Bumpsweat
Sweet potato triscuits?!? Why didn’t I know about this? I’ll have to get a box on my next grocery trip.
I tried them for the first time this week! You’ll love them!
Kim @ Fittin Pretty
I could not be more jealous of everyone at the conference!! Have a blast! That Fabletics outfit is insanely cute!
Thanks! I know… I just couldn’t miss it. IDEA is by far, the best fitness convention and now a great fitness blogging conference with BlogFest! I would highly recommending getting to it next year!
Erin @ Her Heartland Soul
What a fun conference! Oh man I love Teavana!
Ashley @ My Food N Fitness Diaries
Yay! So glad to hear you’re having such a blast. And I’m SO excited to hear you got to try BodyPump for the first time. (For some reason I thought you’ve already done it?!) You’re definitely making me wish I was there!! And your Fabletics outfit is so cute! I’m so excited to rock my pink lava capris when I get home. I NEED to try those Triscuits – yum!
I loved BodyPump! It kicked my booty though. I haven’t lifted weights in quite a while besides small dumbbells in my at-home workouts! Hello, reality check! Wish you were here too! Enjoy the rest of your CA vacay 🙂
Polly - TastyFoodProject.com
Yum! I love Quest bars and normally order multiple boxes at a time!. Looks like a fun conference!
Can’t wait to come back next year!! Such a great one!
Sending you even more compliments on your Fabletics workout gear!!! I absolutely love those pants and the top with the open back!
Did you also have the chance to try Quest’s chips? I love their bars and I am more of a sweet person so I am still making my mind on trying this new creation.
Thank you! I’ve been getting great pieces 🙂 I actually did try the chips. I liked the cheddar flavor, but sadly not the Sea Salt. They would be a good power snack, but weren’t exactly what I expected.
Sweet potato Triscuits?? Yum!! I’ll be on the lookout for those!
Ahh Tevana 🙂 They have the best tea in the world! I got a wonderful pineapple blueberry tea from there that I will never forget
omgosh. i’m definitely heading to vicky’s secret this weekend to check those scents out! and oh! i love teavana! i love it even more now that i can use my starbucks card there too! woot! i’m going to have to check out those triscuits. a healthy snack that tastes like fries? i’m down with that! 🙂
Those Triscuits are danger! My mom had them at her house and I think I plowed through the whole box. LOL! Delish!
Also, Fablesics rocks. 🙂
They are ridiculously amazing. I want them right nowwww. 🙂
