Good morning! It’s Friday! To help get us all through the day and ready for the weekend, let’s have some fun and dive right into this week’s edition of Friday Favorites.
I’m really looking forward to this weekend and know that a lot of you are too. I’m heading out to a quick trip to Florida with a mission to soak in quality family time, and I am hoping to also bask in the sun, palm trees, and sand while I’m down there. Gosh, that sounds glorious.
Don’t forget to share some things you have been loving this week too by linking up and playing along in the comments section!
Friday Favorites #77: Week of 2/20
• Anthropologie notebook
I received this notebook as a gift at a women’s bible study on Monday. I have a few notebooks to write in at home now, but this one in particular is oh so adorable.
I believe they got the variety of colors (others came in pink, mint, and black) from Anthropologie. This Avian Notebook is closest version I could find online. I just love that store!
• candy bracelet flashback
The week before, I received this candy bracelet (I’m sorry, watch!) from one of the girls. You totally want to get in on this group now, don’t you?
I don’t think I ever sported the watch version growing up, but it’s pretty fancy. Whatever it was (watch/bracelet/awesomeness), it didn’t last more than a few minutes on my wrist because I ate it all like a champ.
• rainbow Nerds
Speaking of candy (sorry… I know it’s not-so healthy living), I also fell victim to this large box of Nerds this week. Holy geez did I forget how addicting those little nuggets of colored hard candy are.
This is exactly why I don’t buy candy. If it’s in the house, it’s gone within a few days time. Practically eating even the rainbow box still made me smile, nonetheless.
Moving on from the sweet stuff, I have really been loving our new iHome clock radio since the day it came in the mail!
(Yes, it’s on the floor because we still don’t have end tables next to our bed. It’s fine.)
We have been eyeing an alarm clock upgrade for years, and finally invested in the iHome Bluetooth Stereo right after Christmas. Scott ordered this model off of Amazon for under $90 and it was a great choice! I love that we can play our music through the Bluetooth speaker and that I can also wake up to a clear radio. Win!
• hard-cooked peeled eggs
Have you ever seen this bag of hard boiled peeled eggs at the grocery store?
The brand is Eggland’s Best and they really are just that. The best.
As easy as hard-boiling eggs can be, I don’t do it nearly as often as I should. I love having these hard-cooked peeled eggs ready to go in the fridge for a snack or part of a meal, and I have been turning to this bag all week long.
On their own, sided with snacks like almonds or cottage cheese, or atop salads, they add the perfect punch of protein and are super convenient!

• Friday funnies
I just can’t with these “I don’t always” memes. They’re so great.
Every. Freaking. Time.
Who’s always dropping ice? (Right on my spot…)
And one more, because it’s one hundred percent accurate:
Straight as an arrow. (Or not. Ever.)
Have a great weekend!
Hard boiled eggs have been my jam lately. As a nursing mom I love to snack on them or throw them in my salad for some extra protein. Not to mention they are the one food that actually keep me full! Love, love, love your notebook. I love a beautiful notebook that I can keep next to my computer for inspiration.
Exactly! You really can’t go wrong with those little guys. (Eggs and notebook!) Happy Friday, momma!
Have so much fun in Florida, that sounds glorious!! And anthropologie always has the cutest little books, gifts, and accessories- I love everything in that store!
Thank you! I’m definitely looking forward to being down South. I seriously want everything in Anthro <3
You NAILED me with those I don’t aways memes. Every time, to all of them. So annoying, especially with the underlining! What is the point of pretty pins if you can’t underline correctly!
Hahaha, aren’t they the best? I die every time I see one. They’re so accurate!
I would totally love one of those clock/radios! I have had the same alarm clock for about 15 years… ha! I think it’s time for an upgrade! 😉
Oh my gosh, Scott had the one before for YEARS before I even met him. Buttons would stick and I couldn’t use the alarm half the time, so it was more than time for an upgrade. You would love the iHome!
Lake Shore Runner
Funny you mentioned hard boiled eggs because I was just talking to my parents on how I wanted to perfect the hard boiled egg. I made a batch last week that didn’t come out that well.
I’m still not sure I have “perfected” it, but I can at least get the job done. Good luck with yours!
Erin @ Her Heartland Soul
That notebook is gorgeous! I haven’t had Nerds in forever but I used to love them. Have you had Nerds rope? So good!
Yes I have! I don’t like them as much as the original, but you really can’t go wrong with ANY type of Nerds. 😉
Safe travels!!! And bring back some warm weather will Ya?! I love little notebooks like that they are so handy. And I totally ate (wore) one of those bracelets on Saturday! 🙂
Thank you! Ha, I will try my best! 😉
I always almost buy those pre cooked hard boiled eggs but for some reason I don’t, but you are so right this would make quick meals so much easier I think it would be worth the extra cost!
Haha, that was me for years! I finally broke down and bought them a year or so ago and haven’t turned back since. They’re great to have on hand for days were I want hard boiled eggs but don’t have the time (okay, patience) to cook them!
Underlining is the biggest struggle for me! Love that little notebook too, sounds like you have one cool Bible study! 😀
Haha, me too! WHY is it so hard?
Elsie @ Sharing Healthiness
Ahhh so jealous! Your weekend sounds heavenly 🙂 I loved those bracelets/watches back in the day but haven’t seen them since! Waking up to the radio makes me instantly happy in the morning 😉 Have fun!!
Right? I hadn’t either. It took me right back to elementary school. 😉
Oh, man. Nerds were my favorite candy as a kid and I had to eat them out of a bowl, supervised, because I got those things EVERYWHERE. 🙂 They are delicious, but it’s been a long time since I’ve had any! May have to fix that soon LOL
Haha, supervised. That’s great!
Sierra&Faith Winks and Eyerolls
Happy Friday! Love that notebook. More appealing notebooks make us actually want to write in them more. Kind of weird, we know 😉 Don’t know if we ever knew there was a candy watch! Winks and Eyerolls
Thanks ladies! I totally agree. Candy watches are a huge weakness of mine. Maybe that’s a good thing you haven’t seen them!
yay for florida!!! ill be there next week.. even tho the day i fly out says SNOW for here.. I hope I can make an escape! 😉
I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you!
Ashley @ A Lady Goes West
I’m sorry to say this Heather, but I think it’s cold in Florida right now! 🙁 Oh man!! Have fun though! Thanks for hosting the favorites. 🙂
I heard it was chilly today! But, for what it’s worth, it was -11 this morning here. So…. really, anything is better than that. Hopefully it warms up for the both of us!
Pretty Little Grub
Nerds are my favourite candy! My husband and I always pick up a box if we are doing road trip somewhere, its become our little tradition.
I love that. Scott and I do the same thing. It’s like getting “treats” for driving a long distance. Too funny!
I love Nerds, but I only ever have them around Halloween. Might have to change that! 🙂
Hehe, sorry to be a bad influence there 😉
I might be able to forgive you 😉
Annette Perkins (@FitnessPerks)
I love nerds!! I ate a bunch of ’em this week right after teaching BODYPUMP & CXWORX because I was feeling like I needed sugar (baby #2 wanted ’em) 😉 I can’t have them too often though, or else then I start to hate them. Same with skittles.
Cute new site–it looks great!!
Thank you so much! And Congrats on Baby #2! I bet you’re extra hungry after teaching all of those classes!
Brie @ Lean, Clean, & Brie
Bring some warm weather back to Michigan on your way back please! All I can think about right now is summer weather! Enjoy your weekend!
Right? Me too. So ready!
Strength and Sunshine
Please take me with you to FL!
Girl, you could probably fit in my suit case! 😉 Have a great weekend!
Stacy @ Sweating Tulipz
I love hard boiled eggs…I want to get an egg boiler…they look like the best thing since sliced bread!
I cannot have candy in my house either girl…it like whispers to me that it is still in the cupboard and I have to keep going back for more until it is gone. I’m pretty sure sugar is my drug…and I can’t have one bit of it or else I eat it alllll!
That sounds fancy! I bet I would love that. Haha. I love that it whispers to you. So accurate!
I NEED those eggs! Love EB and also HATE peeling hardboiled eggs…
Yes! This little bag makes my life so much easier. Totally worth the extra cost 😉
I’m lazy and love buying pre-cooked hard boiled eggs to keep as quick snack in the fridge. I used to loveee candy necklaces as a kid!
Hehe, they’re pretty much the best gift ever.
I’m with you! Nerds are ridiculously addicting! I’m not sure what it is about them, but I can’t get enough!
Happy Friday, Heather! I’m still laughing about that candy “watch”. Easily amused over here… Have a great weekend 🙂
Hahaha I’m glad it entertains more people than me! 😉
Ange @ Cowgirl Runs (@cowgirlruns)
Happy Friday, Heather!
I’m a huge fan of the precooked and peeled eggs. Anything to save me time and a step (and it’s reasonably priced) is a win in my books.
Rachel @ Blonde with a Chanse
I LOVE that candy bracelet! It brings back so many childhood memories for me 🙂
Hi Heather! I am so glad I got the new blog email today (2/20). The last one I received was the one that’s said you were changing. No idea what happened to the emails in between that time. Look forward to reading them again- bummed I missed out on all the giveaways!
Oh no! Well the one you received yesterday was the first-ever newsletter I sent out to subscribers. I plan to do a similar one every other week or so. Thank you so much for reading!
Also, if you would like to receive all of my posts in your email inbox (one a day, each day I post), you can subscribe to those by entering your email in the “follow” box under the welcome picture on the sidebar. I hope this helps!
Have a blast in Florida! I’m jealous…take me with you, away from the cold?….IsItSpringYet?! Also awesome is that candy watch. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a candy bracelet in watch form.
