Happy Friday!
I’m in a peppy mood this morning, which is great for having to be at work before 7 a.m. After a full day at the gym, Scott and I will be kicking off our weekend with a New Kids On the Block concert! Yep, I said NKOTB. They’re throwing it back for a nationwide tour with Nelly and TLC, so we obviously need to go. Where my 80s babies at?
Saturday will be just as eventful with a 5K and trip over to Detroit for the Grand Prix races. We’ve got plenty to keep us busy, that’s for sure!

• Rocksbox
After seeing the online jewelry service pop up across the Internet over the past few months, I was thrilled to finally receive my first Rocksbox this week!

With summer weddings in mind, I went a little brighter and fancier than I normally would.
I selected more “night on the town” and special occasion statement jewelry, versus softer, smaller pieces.
I was very happy with the pieces I received. After filling out my style profile, I typed out a detailed request for pieces to wear with specific dresses to upcoming weddings and showers.
All of my dresses are in the blue and green family, and one has a pop of coral. I made sure to make a note of this information and included a request of a gold base this round. My stylist nailed it!

What I like most about this service is that I can send back the pieces when I’m done borrowing them. I love having a variety of quality jewelry available, but I don’t always like to invest in designer items. Shipping is always free and pre-paid both ways. I’m not a huge fan of soda. In fact, I only really drink it in the form of a slurpee, mixed in with vanilla vodka, or in a root beer float.

Would you be surprised to find out that the only pieces I own from lululemon are headbands and barre socks? It’s true. While I could easily spend my entire paychecks on their fitness apparel, I just haven’t splurged. One of these days I’ll hit up an outlet and be in some serious trouble.
• seasoned Triscuits
While I don’t eat whole grains all too often (here’s why!), I do love me some Triscuit crackers from time to time. Pair them with a tub of hummus, and I’m usually half a box deep within an episode of Friends.
I enjoy the original and reduced fat versions, but I like to try the boxes of seasoned crackers on occasion, too. Scott brought this Dill, Sea Salt & Olive Oil flavor home this week, and I cannot stop eating them. So good!
• remote control stand fan
Some of you might remember me mentioning that our air conditioning went out a week or so ago. Lucky for us, it was in the middle of a cool spell, but we still wanted some ventilation in our bedroom at night until it got fixed.

It’s relatively quiet for the amount of air it moves around, too. I especially love the natural setting that is made to feel like an off and on breeze you would experience while sitting outdoors. It’s totally worth the investment!

There’s a new type of spray I’ve been digging lately, and it isn’t for women.
Scott picked up this bottle of from the outlet mall a couple weeks ago, and I love walking into the bathroom after he sprays it. Is that weird? Probably.

My last splurge on Lululemon was a pair of amazingly comfy workout/lounge pants last winter. They were basically my uniform for a couple months, hehe. It was worth it!
I’ve heard amazing things about their Wonder Unders. Those, I might just splurge for.

Oh my gosh, NKOTB!! You’re gonna have so much fun. I definitely remember listening to their cassettes and having posters on my wall.
I don’t own anything by Lululemon either. I loooove looking at their stuff, but I’m a huge cheapskate, so most of my workout clothes come from TJ Maxx or Target.

I tried Rocksbox and liked it! I didn’t buy any of the jewelry though, at least right now, b/c it’s way too expensive IMO. But then again, if I had a wedding or something coming up, I’d consider it.

I’ve been hearing a lot about Rocksbox. I love jewelry so it sounds great. Also I’m a huge fan of Zevia. I like their cream soda and rootbeer!
I was looking into RocksBox but it’s too pricey to ship to Canada 🙁 And there are no Canadian alternatives affordable enough!

I saw a sign for that concert when Scott and I were driving down from Virgina to North Carolina for a wedding. What a cast of characters – have a great time! I only have one top from Lululemon that was a gift. Like you – I just haven’t splurged yet. But it is oh so tempting. 🙂
