A few months ago I posted a new obsession {& tutorial} with Sally Hansen Nail Strips.
Since then I’ve done some experimenting and have tried enough different variations to show off what these strips can really do.
Let’s start with one of my favorites, a metallic pattern called Misbehaved.
While wearing them to work, I got a few “is that snake skin?”questions. Politely saying “no,” I explained and will forever argue that they resemble fishnets.
This shade is fun enough for a special night out, yet practical enough for every day if you ask me.
Feeling a bit more creative, I dressed up my ring fingers only with Cut it Out.
Here it’s paired with a dark purple shade, Play ‘Til Midnight by OPI.
Both have been discontinued on some store shelves, but you can still find them online from places like Amazon.com.
To achieve this look, apply the nail strip to your fourth finger, then paint the remaining nails with your color of choice.
Here is the same look using a different polish shade, La Paz-itively Hot by OPI.
*TIP: When your nail strip lasts longer than the polish, remove it and apply a different color for round 2!
Back to using the full sets, I tried out a glitter shade for New Years.
Glitz Blitz is definitely my favorite so far. I got a ton of compliments on the shade, and it just so happened to match some of my accessories.
The busiest pattern I’ve tried is called Fly with Me. On a whim, I decided to apply these on the car ride over to Tampa for the Gasparilla Half Marathon.
What’s the harm in trying to fly right?
I hit my under 2 hour race time goal, so they must have done something.
You can find Sally Hansen Nail Strips at most local grocery stores, Target, Wal-mart, most local drug store like CVS, Walgreens, and almost all beauty supply stores like ULTA or Sally’s Beauty Supply.
Happy Nail Stripping! 🙂
Questions:
Have any of you tried Sally Hansen Nail Strips?
Do you prefer solid shades or the patterned (fun + funky) ones?

Your nails look adorable, I especially LOVE the gold glitter strips!
Thanks Erinn, yes those are a favorite of mine. I’m looking for an excuse to wear the pink glitter strips, any Princess Birthday Parties you know of? 🙂
