Hi friends! I apologize in advance for keeping it short. I went to pick up my mom from the airport this morning and am excited to have her up here with me for the holiday and week!
Since I don’t want to spend too much time glued to the computer, I thought it would be fun to pop in and share a series of random questions and answers, survey style.
I was tagged by Kaylin to fill out this I Mustache You Some Questions survey, so why not? Let the questions begin…
Four names that people call me (other than my real name):
• HB (short for Heather Betty, my real first and middle name)
• Betty (if you read above, you can probably figure this out too)
• Presh (short for Precious, the name Scott gave me when I met him)
• Bubba (what Scott and I call each other)
Four jobs I have had:
• Nanny (my favorite job in high school and college)
• NBA Dancer (Orlando Magic & Detroit Pistons)
• Server (at the best breakfast spot I know)
• Blogging & Social Media Assistant
Four movies I would have watched more than once:
… or six movies I have watched a billion times:
• Billy Madison (stop looking at me, swan!)
• Austin Powers (every.single.weekend in middle school)
• National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (every.single.Christmas)
• Dirty Dancing (nobody puts Baby in a corner)
• Pretty Woman (classic romantic dream, minus the sketchy escort part)
• Bridesmaids (obviously)
Four books I’d recommend:
• Heaven Is For Real by Todd Burpo
• by Gillian Flynn
• by Gayle Forman (saw the movie, I heard the book is even better!)
• & (really, anything by Emily Giffin)
Four places I have lived:
• Longwood, Florida
• Orlando, Florida (gosh, I miss that view)
• Tampa, Florida
• Rochester Hills, Michigan
Four places I have been:
If only I started blogging years before to document these trips!
• Rome, Italy
• Shanghai, Macau & Guangzhou, China
• Athens, Santorini & Mykonos, Greece
• Galapagos Islands, Ecuador
Four places I’d rather be right now:
• Anywhere warmer than 60 degrees
• On a beach
• In a yoga class
• Re-living our honeymoon in Costa Rica
Four things I don’t eat:
• Salmon (I’m working on it)
• Mayonnaise and/or mustard (ketchup girl through and through)
• Horse radish (I will actually gag if I taste it)
• Wasabi (I like spicy… but just… no)
Four of my favorite foods:
• Anything Italian
• Frozen Yogurt
• Pumpkin (literally… almost anything with pumpkin)
• Tie between Mexican & Mediterranean food
Four TV shows that I watch:
• Friends (I admittedly still record episodes, even though I’ve seen every single one at least ten times)
• Grey’s Anatomy (big fan since season one!)
• Scandal (umm, did any of you see the season finale? Whoa.)
• New Girl (every line is a great one liner. Seriously.)
Four things I am looking forward to this year:
• Working in the fitness industry again!
• Going skiing (okay… looking forward to slash dreading – the fear arises)
• Attending the weddings of friends in Florida, Houston & Chicago!
• Exploring more summer to-dos in Michigan
Four things I’m always saying:
• Y’all or you guys (it’s the Southerner and Northerner in me)
• Ridiculous
• (Singing) songs about and to Roadie.
• It’s fine. (It took all I had not to type that above.)
Four people I tag to take the survey:
Anyone who wants to!

Question of the Afternoon
Pick one (or more) question above and answer it.
See ya back here in the morning!
Jen Rawson, RD (@PrettyLilGrub)
I totally get you on the salmon. I really try to like it because of all the amazing fatty acids in it but I just don’t like it. Dirty Dancing and Pretty Woman are also movies I’ve watched about a hundred times. They never get old.
Heather
I always used to get in trouble for watching Pretty Woman! It is rated R, after all. But such a great story!
Lauren @ The Bikini Experiment
I can’t deal with mayo either! I hear ya on Dirty Dancing…no one puts baby in the corner. 100%.
Heather
Woot!!
Sara! @ Lake Shore Runner
I don’t like salmon either. I try it all the time in hopes I will like it because I feel like it is always a healthy option on a menu. Hopefully with time!
Heather
I’m the same way! I really am working on it 😉
EmilyAnne
Isn’t a trip from your Mom just the best thing ever? Enjoy your Mom! Go make memories! http://www.eatallovertheworld.weebly.com
Heather
Thanks, will do!
aladygoeswest
Love these surveys. Okay, so Heather Betty is the cutest name ever. I’d like to use that from now on, mmmkay? And you should soak up every second with your Momma. But please, start eating salmon already. You’re missing out!
Heather
Haha, go right ahead. Literally everyone called me HB or Heather Betty in high school. Heather did not exist 😉 I’ll keep trying with the salmon!
Sierra&Faith Winks and Eyerolls
So much fun reading these questions. Scandal is so addicting! We would definitely recommend Heaven Is For Real too. Have a great time with your mom and Happy Thanksgiving!
Heather
Thanks girls, you too!
Katie @ Daily Cup of Kate
I was a nanny in HS and College too and loved it. I even lived with a family my senior year in college- free rent and food plus they paid me!
Heather
Nice! Yeah it was a pretty great gig! I got to hang out with cool kids, cook meals, and entertain them (and myself) day in and day out… not too shabby 😉
Erin
Love this! And we had a lot of answers in common, which I thought was funny! Just for fun, I’ll answer a few of those:
I’ve been to Italy and Greece as well….Mykonos is definitely one of my favorite places in the world! Second only to Hawaii!
Heather
It’s so beautiful there!!! I want to go back with Scott one day! So great seeing you last week! 😉
Erin
I’m just seeing your reply now…it was great to see you as well! Hopefully we can plan something again soon! Sagebrush? Yum!
Heather
Ahh! Sagebrush sounds amazing. Yes, let’s plan a lunch date!
cleaneatingveggiegirl
I love Emily Giffin books, too! I actually listened to The Heart of the Matter as a book on CD during a trip home a few months back and it made the time fly!
Heather
I haven’t read that one, maybe I need to pick it up!
Erin
I also hate salmon even though I try to like it! (Along with blue cheese and olives) And my favorite types of food are Italian, Mexican and Mediterranean, with a side of Pinkberry frozen yogurt as well!
Heather
Pinkberry… YUM! <3
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
I am so surprised you don’t like salmon! I did not know that, haha!
Heather
I really wish I did! It’s so good for you.
Kaylin @ Enticing Healthy Eating
I say ridiculous a ridiculously amount of times in a day too. It’s ridiculous. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation = the best Christmas movie ever! Oh and all the original Adam Sandler movies are the best!
Heather
As do I. 😉 Seriously, it’s the best! My family watches it EVERY SINGLE CHRISTMAS EVE… hehe! 🙂
courtalkek
My family watches Christmas Vacation every year on Christmas Eve too! This year my husband and I are spending Christmas in Fiji- maybe I should buy the DVD so we can continue the tradition! We went to Costa Rica on our honeymoon too- I want to go back!
Christina @ The Beautiful Balance
Omg please tell me you replay Friends Thanksgiving episodes on Thanksgiving! My family and I are beyond obsessed and pretty much quote Friends every other sentence haha.
Allie @ pints of life
SCANDAL!! INSANE season ending!!! January 29th cannot come soon enough. That is one of the best shows on TV right now!
Janelle
Just wanted you to know I used this survey with my brother when we were talking, & it sparked a three hour conversation! He lives in CA now, so it was really nice to catch up with him this week while the entire family is in Michigan (hello from Au Gres!) for Thanksgiving. So thanks!
Heather
Ha, that’s great! So glad to hear you found it somewhat useful… 😉 Great to hear you got to catch up with your brother! xo
