I bet a lot of you are scrambling around trying to find something to give friends, coworkers, and loved ones today. Want to skip the lines at the mall and give something from the heart that you can make yourself at home?
I’ve got a great idea for you!
I made these reindeer chow goodie bags for Scott’s coworkers over the weekend. I got the idea to attach a fun holiday poem to it after I was done, so I created one and thought some of you might like to decorate and gift your homemade treats the same way…
I’ve included the template I made so that you can print the tags off below. The reindeer chow took me about an hour to make (three batches), and I took another hour or so to assemble and tie the bags once I printed off the tags.
You could easily whip up a basket of these to take into the office tomorrow to celebrate Christmas Eve!
Step 1: Make the Reindeer Chow.
There’s tons of great recipes out there. Here’s mine! (<- holy YUM.)
I made three batches to fill 12 large cookie bags (purchased at JoAnn.)
Step 2: Print out, cut, and hole punch poem tags.
I used light green paper to spice it up!
Here’s the poem:
Right click the image below and Save As a PDF (without our names on it) on your computer to print your own page!
Or, you can open the PDF on your computer -> DIY Holiday Gift Tag Poem for Coworkers Template and print out your pages from that window.
Step 3: Bag the reindeer chow and tie with a festive ribbon.
Step 4: Cut and tie accent (top) ribbons.
Step 5: Attach tag by pulling ribbon through paper.
Tie the top bow in place with the remainder of the smaller ribbon fabric.
Voila!
I labeled this a last minute holiday gift idea for coworkers because the poem is all about an office setting. Feel free to make your own poem or print out a different kind of tag to attach to your treat bags!
