I have a great snack recipe for you today! It’s very tropical and very good for you.
Have you ever tried Sunsweet Philippine Tropicals? They come in four different flavors, two of which are brand new! Just to put it out there, I am very selective about the dried fruit that I eat and purchase. I don’t like when it’s too chewy or processed, and nothing about the flavors you see below give me that “meh” feeling. In fact, they’re quite addicting, and they don’t taste very far from the real fruit itself.
Each bag is filled with sweet, flavorful fruit that comes from unique microclimates with ideal growing conditions. This quite literally brings the taste of the tropics right to you. The best part? You don’t have to feel guilty about eating a serving or two!
The (new) Philippine Green Mangoes are picked right as they begin to ripen. Each bite is packed with tanginess and tastes super fresh. The (new) Thai Coconut Chip is crunchy with a hint of vanilla. You can add them to yogurt or a salad for extra goodness.
I enjoy them on their own, but I especially love adding them to my mixes!
The Philippine Pineapple is very sweet and tastes as close as you can get to a real pineapple. Last, but certainly not least, the Philippine Mango (America’s #1 mango) comes in delicious, thick pieces that taste like … you guessed it … real mango.
By the way, I’m a huge fan of dried mango since slicing the real ones can be a pain. (Right?)
Enjoy a handful at home, on-the-go, or combine them to make a tropical fruit trail mix to energize you throughout the day or on your next hike!
I like to add raw, unsalted almonds to almost all of my trail mixes, and this one is no exception. Simply combine the dried fruits you desire, add coconut flakes (or better yet, Sunsweet Thai Coconut pieces) and you’re good to go!
I combined all of the Sunsweet Pacific Tropicals (minus the pineapple – simply because I like snacking on those on their own!) and sprinkled the almonds right into it. Shake it all up in a big plastic bag or air-tight jar and store for days. It really couldn’t be easier.
This has been my latest favorite snack to grab while I’m working on the computer, and also when I’m in the hurry to get out the door.
Now are you ready for the exciting part?
Who’s dying to get TO the tropics?

Definitely Hawaii!! I’ve been once and it was unlike any tropical place I’ve ever been 🙂 🙂
Caribbean Cruise! I have never been on a boat and would LOVE to go!
I love anywhere in the Caribbean. And all the flavors sound delicious, but I want to try the pineapple and mango. I love combing almonds, cashews, sunflower seeds, and dried fruit to make a homemade trail mix.
