Hello! How’s your Monday going so far? Mine’s… well… going.
My site decided to ignore the “save draft” request I hit right before I wanted to publish this post about an hour ago. All the text erased, and to be completely honest… I really don’t want to type it again. That might be the most annoying thing ever. Instead, how about a couple of sentences per picture? I think that will do the job just fine!
I wasn’t quite feeling one hundred percent on Friday. I stayed productive throughout the day, but the highlight was going to the Pistons Game.
They lost, but the crowd was full and loud for a change. It was nice!
I celebrated the official end to my juice and raw foods cleanse with a trip to Sagebrush afterwards. I know, I know… Mexican food? Smooth.
It was karaoke night and included all of the chips and salsa I wanted, so it really was for the best.
I kept my dinner light knowing my stomach would be completely overwhelmed with a regular order, and opted for a bowl of their famous Chicken Rice soup instead.
It was wonderful, just as I had hoped it to be.
Saturday started with breakfast at a charming little diner in Lake Orion called Baldwin Cafe.
I ordered the Western omelet with tomato slices and toast and ate a little more than half of it. I was still coming back from the cleanse and didn’t want to overdo it! I did, however, thoroughly enjoy two cups of coffee. Yummm.
I was with Alex, her mom, and her sister en route to Fowler, Michigan. After over two hours of driving Northwest, we found the wonderful bridal shop we were looking for.
Becker’s Bridal really is in the middle of nowhere, but well worth the drive!
We helped her “say yes to the dress” and all knew the right one for her the second she put it on! She’s going to be such a stunning bride.
I hung with her family for the rest of the night while Scott worked another Pistons game. They won, but I got two delicious bowls of homemade chili. We all know who the real winner was that night.
Scott and I both left the house around Noon on Sunday. We caught the late service at church and then I stuck around to babysit the most adorable seven month old right there in the nursery. I was so happy to have an afternoon full of baby snuggles.
I drove over to a nearby SUBWAY for a late lunch. I received a couple of gift cards from the company and will be working with them on campaigns throughout the year (yay!), so I decided to go check out the new grilled chicken strips option on my six inch.
The strips tasted delicious with mozzarella cheese melted on top! Of course I loaded it with a ridiculous amount of veggies too. It’s the only way to go, y’all!
As soon as I was done, I drove right down the road to Starbucks. I had some work to get done on the computer and gave the new Flat White coffee drink a try, per suggestion of my mother.
It’s a popular espresso and steamed whole milk drink that originated in Australia. There isn’t any additional sugar, which I loved. It was a little sweet, but mostly bitter. I actually love drinks like that, so I will definitely be ordering it again.
I drove back to church at 6 p.m. for the high school ministry I volunteer for every Sunday night. We are currently in a series about love, purity, and relationships. It’s an interesting few topics with a large group high schoolers, but great material to cover. I’ve been enjoying the sermons and small group sessions as much as the students lately.
I felt bad leaving Roadie all day, so I spent some time walking him around the neighborhood when I got home around 9:30. It wasn’t crazy cold, but it was really snowy!
It’s amazing how fast the ground can go from green (well… brown) to white. It must have snowed four inches in just a few hours time!
Scott wanted to go over to a friend’s house to watch a movie after that, so I got back in the car and picked him up. It was a late night, but fun to hang with him and friends.
And… now we are all caught up! Considering I had to write this post twice, I’m more than ready to move on to something else.
I have to get back to the gym in a bit too, so I better boogie!
» Linking up these Weekend Snapshots with Katie and Erin.
Have a wonderful rest of your afternoon and evening!

That is the worst! I had that happen several times recently with Pic Monkey where I spent all this time creating images and then crash! Image lost. It’s enough to make you want to go crazy. Looks like a fun and busy weekend!
Oh no… THAT would be the worst. I probably would go crazy if it was an image I spent a lot of time on!
I hate when that happens….I am sad to say it has happened to me on more than one occasion. Looks like you had a fun weekend none the less!
Yes! Hope youre having a great week Sarah 🙂
I’ve lived in Michigan my entire life and have yet to make it to a Pistons game. Also… I’ve been to Becker’s before and their dresses are just lovely! Another great one is Fantastic Finds; that’s where my sister ended up getting her dress 🙂

You should go to a game!! That dress shop sounds fun 🙂
I know! My dad, brother-in-law and boyfriend always go for “guys night”, but I’ve never been. I’ve been to the Palace, but not for a game.
Hi Heather! Oh tech issues are so annoying. So a few things, you are so good about going to basketball games, I haven’t been to one yet this season! Second of all, dress shopping is so fun, I wish I had a friend getting married nearby so I could be a part of that, my next wedding is back in Florida in May. And finally, I’ve heard of that coffee drink. I don’t really drink coffee, but I’d still want to try it. Happy Monday! 🙂
I definitely don’t go to all the games. I probably average every other right now. I think you would like the drink!
Boo! Sometimes technology just isn’t very cooperative. Sorry that happened to you! So, um, all your eats look delicious! I’m so jealous of your Subway gift cards! Yum!
Bahaha! The above comment is from my classroom blog…ignore!

Your houndstooth boots are so cute! Lately I can’t schedule to post because it never posts. It’s the worst!
Thank you!! Thats definitely happened to me before, so frustrating! #techbologyprobz
Oh man, when posts don’t save or schedule right that’s the worst! How fun that you got to go wedding dress shopping with your friend, I’m sure that was so wonderful to share with her! And that’s such a great topic that I’m sure high school students are a little resistant too but is so important, especially before they go off to college! Glad you had a great weekend!

This still isn't as bad as 90% of Europeans saying they prefer Obama. At this point, European immigration will be worse for the GOP than hispanic or asian immigration. 90% of white immigrants from europe will vote Democratic. Indeed, some of the whitest states in NE area, midwest, and Minnesota went for Dems, even a mulatto who's for open borders and 'gay marriage'. Jews own white minds. They are loving it. Mission accomplished. Invasion of whites by Jews was easier than American invasion of Iraq. Muslims got balls. Whites are gutless.
Bonjour, la lecture du roman de François Mauriac m’ avait vraiment touché, de plus étant Landaise, j’ adorerai gagné ces places.Le dernier film que j’ ai vu est Nous York, cette histoire d’ amitié est magnifique.
