Good morning!
We are officially mid-week status, and on Wednesdays, we talk about food.
(Have no idea what WIAW is all about? This post breaks it down!)
What I Ate Wednesday Tuesday
Breakfast started as soon as I could get to it with a cup of coffee and a new fiber cereal.
Nature’s Path Sunrise Crunchy Maple Cereal with almond milk and blackberries
It tastes like a mix between corn puffs, flakes and maple syrup. So good!
I worked on the computer through the morning, and before I knew it, lunch came around Noon. I knew I would be at the gym for the rest of the afternoon, so I made a nutritious and substantial meal before I took off.
Romaine lettuce, arugula, spinach, red and green peppers, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, black olives, avocado, feta cheese, sliced grilled chicken, and pepper with Greek dressing.
I don’t use a salad dressing very often since I usually prefer a balsamic vinegar and olive oil, but I was craving Greek dressing yesterday. It was delicious!
I had a couple of appointments at the gym, then stuck around to complete my own workout and work on some assignments.
I packed a snack for post-workout, too.
Cocotein coconut water (purchased at The Vitamin Shoppe) and cuties
I had errands to run when I was done, and the highlight included a stop into Target. Anddd this superhero shirt that ended up in my cart. I told you, some things from childhood will never get old!
(You can find it online .)
After spending half my paycheck (typical), I walked a couple doors down to find dinner. I was going to pick up ingredients to make a casserole from Target, but then… Chipotle sounded like a better option. No more GMOs!
Scott was on his way from work, so I grabbed two salads with chicken, black beans, rice, salsa (tomato and corn!) and cheese. I also got a side of guacamole, which was quickly followed by a side of chips as well. Ahhh, Chipotle. You da best.
We both scarfed everything as soon as I got home, and we spent the rest of the night watching NBA Playoff games.
Oh, and of course, I had a tall cup of dark chocolate almond milk and quite possibly a couple of chocolate chip cookies before bed, too. Yum!

Please note: What I Ate Wednesday features an entire day of my unfiltered eats. In no way do I change what I eat just for the sake of documenting it. While I try to be mindful with portions, I don’t count calories. I do, however, take into account how much activity I am going to be doing that day, and I plan my meals and snacks accordingly.
Question of the Morning
• Do you have a go-to snack before bed every night? What is it?
Happy Hump Day!

The Target tank tops are danger for me – I went in last week to buy an arm band for my iPhone and came out with that, a bag of M&Ms, 3 tops, and shorts. LOL!
Heather
Haha, sounds like just another day into Target for me. 😉 Yesterday was really the first time I looked at their section of graphic tanks. They’re all so cute!

I alwasy get wrapped up into buying EVERYTHING at Target!! Glad I’m not the only one!
Heather
Ha, nope! I’m pretty sure there would be a well attended support group for Target addicts if it existed 😉
Erin @ Her Heartland Soul
That salad looks so good! And I am obsessed with Chipotle! Happy Wednesday!
Heather
Haha, it’s rare to find someone who isn’t these days… it’s SO good! Happy Wednesday to you, Erin!

I always end up spending a minimum of $100 at target and joke about with the cashier…
Also, your cereal for breakfast looks delicious! I’ll have to try!
Heather
I’ve had a solid bowl for breakfast the last three days in a row!
Jillie
Oh mannn. I don’t think Chipotle can ever disappoint me. It heals everything like my broken heart after realizing how much money I’ve spent at Target. Your salad earlier looked awesome as well. Thanks for sharing!
Heather
Neverrrrr! And yeah, any time I voluntarily go into Target, I pretty much accept the fact that I will not leave without spending $100. #blackholeoftarget

hahahaha chipotle is always the better option in my opinion
Heather
Hands down, no question. I guess it’s a good (and bad) thing I live pretty close to two locations!
Jenn - a traveling Wife
Gosh, I haven’t had Chipotle in ages.
Strength and Sunshine
That’s one of my favorite cereals! It tastes so “buttery” haha!
Lindsey
I always crave chocolate before bed and that dark chocolate almond milk usually does the trick! Love it!
ranchcookie
I love having a bowl of arctic zero ice cream or some yogurt topped with either some peanut butter, granola or ice cereal, it always hits the spot!
Heather
YUM! I love adding cereal or granola to my yogurts, but I’ve never thought to put it on top of ice cream. Sounds delicious!
markmymiles
I have a bowl of ice cream every night. Won’t stop, can’t stop!
Heather
Hahaha LOVE IT! #cantstopwontstop

Your breakfast photo is gorgeous!
My go-to snack before bed is usually oatmeal or an apple.
Heather
Thanks! I always think my breakfast photos are the lamest of the post. It bothers me that Bloglovin’ always pulls them for the feature photo! lol.

Everything looks great, especially Chipotle! I used to go to one near my work a lot, but have been cutting back. Now I’m craving it!
Erin
1. Chipotle is my newest obsession
2. I have to go find that tank top at Target ASAP!

Have you seen the Chipotle guac recipe!? Apparently they released it to the public. I’d love to try to make it at home. I wonder if it’d match up to the real deal?!
Heather
NO! I obviously need to do some research!
Arman @ thebigmansworld

Heather
There’s just something about that Greek. Love it!
