As Thanksgiving quickly approached this week, it dawned on me that it’s also time to start thinking about getting ready for Christmas.
I have enjoyed sharing Holiday Gift Guides in the past, and this year we are kicking things off with the category that is usually the hardest for me to shop for: men.
Are you stumped on what to get your boyfriend, brother, father, or special man in your life this year? Here’s a fun collection of gift ideas I’m rounding up just in time for Black Friday!
•
Gloves are a must for most places in the wintertime. After owning a pair of Etip gloves myself, I rarely go back to wearing pairs without the thumb and finger index. Gift your guy a pair of gloves that works with technology, and he’ll love you for it when it comes time for him to share pictures and messages to friends while braving the cold!
(Check them out in and , too.)
• Jawbone JAMBOX
Scott and I bought years ago, and it continues to be something we use on a weekly basis. (It comes in different colors like red, blue, grey, and black).
If you’re not looking to spend as much, check out the that comes in several additional colors. You really can’t go wrong!
• Original Grain watch
Funny story… I found this brand of watches online and decided to order one to give to Scott for his birthday the day before he sent me a link to the same site with excitement.
Original Grain watches are handcrafted wood watches that combine natural elements and style. They are reasonably priced and high quality. I purchased the Rosewood Classic (pictured), and I really like the Sapele/Black Barrel and Maplewood/Black Classic styles, too.
• Herschel Supply duffle bag
A dapper duffle, because guys need bags to travel, too!
I haven’t personally ordered anything from Herschel Supply, but they have great reviews. The line seems very durable, and the weekend bags are the perfect size for carrying on an airplane. Also, the price points are very reasonable.
• poker set
Gifts that also instigate a guys’ night get you extra points, right?
I love (pictured), and have my eyes on , , and . If he already has a poker set, what about a dart board?
is pricey, but it’s super trendy and cool.
• Dollar Shave Club subscription
Scott has subscribed to the Dollar Shave Club for almost a year now! He loves it. For just $3 – $1 for the razors, $2 for shipping + handling – you receive razor refills sent to your door every month. To be honest, I was skeptical at first. But, I have (shamelessly) used the razors too, and the quality is great! Scott upgrades to the Executive blade option for $9 a month, and even so, the value is wonderful.
The best part about the subscription (besides the low cost) is the convenience. You can customize how often you would like shipments, you can add on products like shave butters and serums, and you never run out of razors. Talk about practicality!
• crossover X-band bumper iPhone case
Scott bought for his iPhone 5 a few years ago. He always receives compliments on it, and I’ve always thought it looks pretty cool. It’s also great for eliminating the need for a wallet by providing a comfortable storage space for up to four credit cards, business cards, notes, and money.
You can purchase it online, and I also found it here for $4 (<- hurry, there’s only a few left!). They come in all sorts of colors and combinations, and are now available for the iPhone 5, 5s, 6, and 6 plus.
• flannel sleep pants
When in doubt, it can’t hurt to go old school and gift a new pair of flannel pajamas.
It makes those holiday nights and travels even cozier! American Eagle has (that is currently Buy One Get One 50% off!). I really like (at a steal for $24) from Nordstrom Rack, this Polo Ralph Lauren pant from Macy’s, and I love these Kenneth Cole pjs from Zappos.
• Fitbit Charge (& HR)
The Charge (the newest tracker from FitBit) tracks steps, distance, calories burned, floors climbed, and daily activity broken down into hours and minutes. I personally love the HR upgrade that also measures Heart Rate. Not to confuse you, but there’s also the Surge and the Flex. Which one is best for you or your guy depends on your budget and how closely you want to monitor your stats.
All models mentioned above monitor your sleep and activity!
• whiskey wedge glasses
Scott showed me from Urban Outfitters a few weeks ago, and he already has plans on gifting them this year. Simply add water to the glass, insert the wedge, and freeze for a wedge-shaped ice cube that is molded to the inside of your glass.
I mean, that’s almost James Bond status if you ask me!
More Ideas:
» SAXX underwear (featured last year & still a fave!)
» colorful and fun printed socks (I love Happy Socks)
» tickets to see his favorite band in concert
» tickets to see his favorite sports team
» a new video game (if he’s a gamer)
» replace their favorite cologne
» scarves, beanies, and sweaters

I NEVER know what to get for guys. I love the grooming kit idea! My brother loves to do funky things with his facial hair (grow it out, and then try out new beards), so I bet he’d love something along those lines!

Thanks for posting this! I’d been having a hard time coming up with ideas for my boyfriend! Guys are so much harder to shop for than girls in my opinion, lol maybe that’s just because I am a girl.
