Hi! I feel like today totally flew by. Things are starting to happen and I am really excited to stop being so vague and share some real details with you.
Until then, I’ll distract you with pretty things and giveaways. Sound good?
Backing up to this morning, I loved (slash loved to hate) my last personal training session at Rock City Fitness. I am pretending to say hate because it completely kicked my booty and I felt like a weakling. It was awesome, and very challenging on my entire body, which actually is enjoyable for me. After the fact, anyways.
I plan to share a full review of the training facility and my experience soon. For now, again, I’ll just distract you with pretty *white* things I saw on my way home from running errands after the gym.
(Don’t worry… I fully stopped to take the photo.)
Followed by the current Winter Wonderland view from my window.
Winter has arrived in Michigan, my friends!
As soon as I got home, I quickly heated up leftovers from last night’s dinner and topped it with the last of our rotisserie chicken and Parmesan cheese.
It was the perfect warm start to my afternoon!
With (what feels like) a dramatic change in the seasons this week, it made me realize how incredibly fast this entire year went by. How are we already halfway through the month of November? I know I can’t be alone here.
The real wake up call that 2014 has almost come to an end came when I received this 2015 MNB Diary from my sweet contact over at Lorna Jane.
I have mentioned the Move Nourish Believe (MNB) movement on the blog before, and this planner is the epitome of everything it stands for.
Lorna Jane Clarkston, the creator of Lorna Jane Activewear, designed a line that creates more than fashionable fitness gear. I actually got to hear her speak in person at the IDEA BlogFest over the summer. She’s an amazing woman! Beyond the LJ inventory, the brand shares quotes, workouts, and healthy recipes on their media channels, in books, and most recently in an everyday planner to support active living!
It’s technically called the 2015 MNB Diary, because it does so much more than help organize your appointments. It organizes and helps you. Inside, you will find workouts (move), recipes and healthy eating tips (nourish), and inspirational quotes (believe) to get you through your days.
In between all of the active living inspiration is the traditional everyday planner features I need like a year snapshot, a month-by-month breakdown, and a place to fill in activities by weeks and days.
The more pages I skimmed through, the more I fell for this adorable little book of awesomeness.
Almost immediately, I noticed how much writing space there was to reflect.
Every so often, there is a page that asks questions and gives you an opportunity to stop and reflect on how your year is going. I took some time filling out my thoughts on this year, and thoroughly enjoyed the process of writing out my goals and reflections for the past, present, and future.
There’s numerous writing prompts and places to take notes throughout it, so I guess that would explain the importance of the word diary in the title!
I was sent my 2015 MNB Diary as a gift from the company and loved it so much that I asked my contact if I could host a giveaway to gift one lucky HWG reader a planner as well!

i love that its more than just a journal and has inspirational quotes, workout ideas etc..
I love this! I have the 2013 version of this journal (unfortunately it was written for Australia so summer and winter tips are opposite from us!) But I loved the inspirational quotes and my favorite part was the summary pages in the front where I could quickly jot down my miles and see my consistency from month to month!
That’s funny! Yes, I love the summary pages too. It’s a great book!
I love the inspirational quotes and the “diary” pages!
I’ve heard so many good things about the MNB Diary but haven’t actually seen that many of the interior pages. It looks gorgeous! I like the monthly workouts – it seems useful and a good reminder to lead a healthy, active life.
Love the journal and really need to have that as part of my fit-inspirational 2015 YEAR!
Lauren @ The Bikini Experiment
I love the inspirational quotes and the colors they chose! Very welcoming.
Ahh you were at Blogfest? Bummed I didn’t get to meet you there!
Yes!! Total bummer. I’m hoping to go again next year!
It’s like an all in one! I love that I can record appointments, workouts, get recipe and workouts all in the same place! Love!
I LOVE this idea of not just being a planning…but also an inspiration. It’s so easy to get lost in all the “to-do’s”, this seems like it offers the perfect balance of “stop and reflect” to tone down the cray 🙂
My favorite feature of this planner/diary is all of the inspirational quotes. I love what the Lorna Jane brand stands for.
Me too! <3
A planner can sometimes be stressful because you realize all the stuff you have to do and want to plan so i love all of the inspirational quotes that can help get you motivated!
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
The cooking chart and the little challenges, that’s so cute!
I love the motivational aspect of it. Sometimes looking at your planner can leave you feeling overwhelmed. Adding the inspirational side really helps balance this out.
My favorite part is the space to write down all of my activities and “to dos” for each day. I’d be lost without a planner and I just so happen to need a new one for January!
I love the monthly view, but also you get the day view when there’s multiple things at different times. Not to mention how pretty they are!
I love the idea of taking time to write down reflections! So cute and love the quotes in the planner.
I absolutely ADORE planners that have the ability to motivate you and to make it inspiring and include healthy living tips is a BONUS! I hope I win and if not, I’m gunna buy one anyway!
This planner sounds amazing! I’m a huge fan of making lists and logging my physical activity to see progress. This sounds perfect!
That planner looks awesome! I started my search for a 2015 planner earlier this week but I hadn’t found anything that inspired me until I read your post.
I love the idea of this planner/journal with all it’s bells and whistles! It lets you be creative, provokes inspiration and perfect for managing a crazy busy lifestyle…what could be better?! Thanks for this great giveaway : )

Kaylin @ Enticing Healthy Eating
This is super cool. I really enjoy the writing prompts since those would make you stretch your mind and see things from other perspectives perhaps. Also, I wanted to let you know, Heather, that I’m nominating you for the Mustache you some Questions Survey that’s been going around the blogging world lately! I should have my post published tomorrow for that with the survey and details on my blog. 🙂
Ha, that’s awesome! I’ve been seeing those pop up everywhere, thanks for letting me know. Love it!
Kaylin @ Enticing Healthy Eating
You’re so welcome! It will be up tomorrow, all ready to go! Have a great one, Heather!
I love that it has a place for everything – certainly beats carrying four different notebooks/journals!
I love the different options for planning with a yearly outlook, month-by-month pages and a weekly/daily area for writing!
Hi. I like how colorful the planner it is. I also love the inspirational quotes. I always appreciate the little things!
Oh I would love somewhere to organize all my thoughts! I tend to have a separate calendar, inspiration book, to do list, and running list of things that never got done. This would be perfection!
I love this! I’m a grad student studying Special Education, juggling time between classes, student teaching, practicing Hot Yoga. I am consistently writing to-do lists and daily schedules! I appericate planners more than anything, and this one would be absoutely perfect!!
What an amazing take on the planner–I actually can’t believe I haven’t seen so ether like this before!
*something not “ether” up there. Darn autocorrect
I love the writing prompts!
This looks amazing I really would love this. I have like three planners because I’m obsessed with planning!
Love that it’s truly a holistic design! Mind + body + schedule! Love it!
I love that it has inspirational quotes and a place to reflect your thoughts (something I need to do more of in 2015).
I love the reflection space!
I don’t think I can pick just one thing that I love about it. I need this!!!!!!!! 🙂
Ok – i can pick one thing — I love the place for reflection. (Amanda)

I love this. Does it have space to record what you eat each day? I find that really helps me keep my diet clean.

Samantha @ HealthyHuggyHappy

I love the reflection space!
This diary would be a great food and fitness tracker!
It’s hard to choose what section I would like best! If I had to choose I would say the move sections. Just added this planner to my Christmas list 🙂

I particularly love Lorna Jane because I feel it is one of the few brands which really embraces a healhy lifestyle from a spiritual and heartfelt way.

Janelle @ WhollyHealthy
I love the prompts!
Lorna Jane is great. I had never heard about LJ until I moved to Australia. There is an active living room close to my house, they offer class throughout the day. Until two weeks ago the classes were only $2.00 but have gone up to $5.00 now. The classes are taught by professional people who really work you out. LJ really encourages active living. I am so glad I have discovered it. http://www.eatallovertheworld.weebly.com
Wow, what a great resource! Love it!
It’s so pretty!
I haven’t used a paper journal in a few years but I’ve been looking to get a new one for this coming year! M a huge journal writer but it always ends up being on random pieces of paper stuffed In a nightstand drawer. This would be great to start the year off clean and organized!!
I love the motivational quotes throughout. I love to have a paper calendar to keep track of things.
Oh my gosh, that is an awesome planner! I love the added motivation with the recipes and tips!
love those workout guides!
Love the combination of planner and diary with inspiration along the way
I haven’t tried a planner, I think it will really help me! Tracking my workouts / fitness would be my favorite part!

roxie p (@monacpete)
the inspirational quotes and the diary pages
I used to be able to keep my entire schedule straight, but now I find I need a planner/calendar. For example, I accidentally scheduled my haircut next week during my much-needed weekly yoga class bc I didn’t have my planner with me when I made the call! For me, any planner is a way to keep healthier, and I would love one that has built-in reminders for me!
I am seriously obsessed with this planner!! I am just an organizational freak, and so picky about the layout, style, color, etc. of my planners. I always want everything together in one place in a way that makes sense. It’s so funny that this giveaway popped up today because this week I have been strategizing on how to create my own planner, which I am finding is also a pain.
Love the informative sheets and workout challenges incorporated in the planner!
Me too! I’m always so picky with mine. From one picky planner buyer to the next, this one’s fabulous!
It is really adorable! I plan to make my own active lifestyle planner/journal but this one would make it all so much easier!
I love the whole layout of the planner and the challenges
How nice! I have a planner that I keep for my job, but having a personal one that incorporates the diary would be really neat!
My Favorite feature is ALLLL that writing space!!
Can i enter from Ireland? Its looks amazing xx
Hmm, great question! Let me find out 🙂
I love the goals & reflections section!!
My Year in the Making
This is like…the greatest planner I’ve ever seen! So much writing space, and I’m a sucker for motivation quotes 🙂
Recipes and inspirational quotes! So neat
I’m actually in the market for a planner/diary! I used to be obsessive about my planner from 1st grade – college, but after graduating, decided I didn’t need one. It worked for a while, but I’m itching for one now that I want to start carefully tracking my workouts (with more specifics than I can do with my Polar HRM and on the Lose It! app). I plan on writing down fitness classes and events that I book in advance, and reflecting on how I felt during/after them in the planner. I love that the Lorna Jane planner also acts as a diary–sometimes I need the reminder to slow down and get out of my type-A, calendar world! Why not reflect on my feelings, accomplishments, and other beautiful things in life? 🙂
That sounds like a perfect way to utilize it! You would love this. <3
Kerry @ Half Healthy, Half Nuts
I love this! Hoping it will help me stay motivated with running in 2015! If I don’t win the giveaway, I will definitely be putting this on my Christmas list! 🙂
