Hi there! Holy moly, is it already Thursday? Today and this whole week is already flashing by at warp speed! I guess that’s not a bad thing, eh?
Those who have been reading the blog for some time probably expect to see posts covering (mostly casual) fashion come up from time to time. Today is one of those times, and I hope you can help me out with your input!
Scroll below to get a peek into my latest shipment of fashion goodies, and let me know what you would keep (or, more specifically, what you think I should keep) in the comments!
April 2015 Stitch Fix Breakdown
Almost every month, I receive a box from Stitch Fix (<- affiliate link), which is an online styling service I have blogged about several times.
For those of you who haven’t heard of it, you can read more about how it all works here.
Also, thank you for stopping by!
My April Stitch Fix included:
This Skies are Blue Topanga Crochet Detail Flutter Sleeve Blouse: $48.
(By the way, did “Topanga” just take anyone else back to Boy Meets World?)
This Papermoon Girtha Printed Dress: $68.
This Fun2Fun Clarise Mixed Print Tank: $38.
(Um… sorry for the apparent smear on my camera lens!)
This Market & Spruce Viktor Moto Jacket: $68.
This Skies are Blue Demitruis Button Up Top: $54.
(Just call me smudge fingers. Yikes!)
I wasn’t super impressed with my fix this month, which really bummed me out. I loved the majority of my March fix, so I was hoping to invest in at least a couple of great items for Spring with this one.
I am still on the fence about exactly what I am keeping and returning, and I need to decide soon in order to ship my returns back on time. Maybe y’all can help me out?
The first thing I tried on was the Fun2Fun Mixed Print Tank. I thought it was cute, and that it would look great layered under a jacket or on its own once it gets a little warmer outside.
(Maybe?)
The next thing I put on was the Crochet Detail Flutter Sleeve Blouse. I am currently up in the air between keeping the blouse above or this one, as I think both are adorable for Spring.
(Maybe?)
I was excited to see a jacket in this batch, but I could tell I probably wasn’t going to keep it at first glance. Short and square jackets just don’t look great on me. I can’t really do much with thin jackets for the majority of the year in Michigan, so this was an obvious send back.
(Return)
I tried the Demitrius Button Up Top on last and was at a complete loss with it. I didn’t even have to undo the buttons on the sleeves to know this one would be going back as well.
(Return)
I finished off my own Stitch Fix fashion show with the Papermoon Printed Dress. I honestly didn’t think I would want to keep this one, but I absolutely love the fit. It’s flattering and slimming in all the right places.
(Maybe?)
Scott and I have at least a handful of weddings to attend over the summer, so it might just be a great piece to have ready to pack!
I need to return my shipment later today, so I need your help.
Do I keep the dress? The dress and one top? If so, which one?
Thanks in advance! <3

You know I love my stitch fix 🙂 this one was fun but I agree it’s not the best! I love the first top on you- the print is fun and it looks nice! I also love the dress on you. In the first pic I wasn’t sure about it, but it looks great on. I think it would look even better with a skinny belt at the waist!
Heather
Thank you for your input, cute idea!
Tara
Dress and first top 🙂 That’s my input!
smcolvar
Definitely the dress and I think the second top. It’s very summery, light material and goes with more.
Amanda @ Positively Amanda
Keep the dress. It’s super cute!
bendiful
I like the dress a lot! Everything else meah…keep the dress send the rest back!
Amber Schumann
I would keep the colorful tank if you had to choose between the two. And the dress looks great on you!!! For spring/summer weddings, I would accessorize it with a pop of color (shoes: red, yellow, or pink? OR necklace: any color really…maybe a bold round geometrical style)
Heather
I love that idea! Thank you for the suggestions 🙂
Becky Richardson
I love the dress! Also the first top! The other top is cute but you would need to iron it …and that’s not my happy place!
Heather
Thank you! And, I totally agree… haha. Ironing is no fun!
Lauren Reiner (@LaurenBrook85)
The dress for sure!!! I love dresses like that and it looks so awesome on you! The only other thing I would MAYBE keep is the white blouse because it’s a cute style but for that price…ehhhh….
Erin @ Her Heartland Soul
The Fun2Fun Clarise Mixed Print Tank looks AMAZING on you! Definite keep!
Jacki
Love the dress and white blouse!
Lindsey @ Fit Life Pursuits
I like the dress and the mixed print tank!
Amy Coose
Love the dress, it looks so awesome on you. Either of the shirts are cute, the white one is very flattering. I was bummed with my box this month, too. 🙁
Heather
Thanks Amy. I’m sorry to hear about your box! Here’s hoping for some winning items next month!
Brie @ Lean, Clean, & Brie
Definitely keep the dress! Love it!
Amanda
Definitely keep the dress and printed tank – both look great on you and are super practical, even as the seasons change.
Nicole
I thought the 3/4 dress you got last month looked perfect on you and was sad you sent it back. Ha. I will go against the consensus and say that I don’t think this month’s dress flatters your awesome figure like it should. You could find a much cuter dress. I don’t love the pattern on this one either. I would keep the tank or flutter sleeve top if you need to keep something.
Heather
I really liked that dress too. I just didn’t have enough in my budget!
Aunt Sandy
Keep the Crochet Detail Flutter Sleeve Blouse and the Papermoon Printed Dress. Both look adorable on you and are perfect for travel to Florida (I hope)!
ErikaMC
I think everything looks great. Obviously keep the dress and I for sure like the top two shirts.
juliesrunawayfreckles
I love the sundress and white blouse. So cute!
Emma @ Life's A Runner
I absolutely love the dress and the tank top! The blouse is nice too, but the other items are just outstanding and perfect for Spring. 🙂
Sara @ Lake Shore Runner
Yayyyyy I love when we can help pick what people keep! I love love love the dress. Good keep. I think you should keep the tank. I love the shirt but think it will wrinkle easy and in the summer you want something light and airy. You can dress up or dress down 🙂
Tonya
I think you NEED that dress! You look great in it! I’m not a huge fan of the white top, but the mixed print is cute! Good luck with your selection!
Ellen Wottrich
I’m going to join the chorus – you should keep the dress! If I had gotten that dress in my most recent fix, it would have been an immediate yes. 🙂
Ange @ Cowgirl Runs (@cowgirlruns)
I definitely love the dress! The tank is cute, but if you don’t love it, then send it back 🙂
Amy M4gic
I feel your pain with a bummer fix. I sent back all 5 items from my most recent one. Stitch Fix seems to be hit or miss for me, lately. The dress is super cute though, I say keep!
Elizabeth
The dress almost looks to big on you? Not a fan of the pattern anyway. Both tops are super cute….just depends what you already own.
Brit
I really like the second blouse. I love the cut of the dress, but I am not too sure about the pattern. It’s a fun pattern but I just feel like it is a bit “loud” and if it were me, I would feel as though I had to try and mute it with accessories, cardigan/wrap etc. I think maybe you could find a dress in a similar style with a pattern that seems to be more up your alley and use the money you would have spent on this dress on a different one!
Janelle @ WhollyHealthy
I love the dress – so flattering! I also really like the first top
Karin
THAT DRESS! I’m so jealous!
As a fellow Michigander, where part of the state are you in?
Karin
Oh geez, I just saw Metro Detroit above. Sorry, haha.
Heather
That’s okay! We live in Rochester Hills but always visit nearby cities as well as Downtown Detroit 😉
Karin
Very nice 🙂 I’m quite a bit more north than you in the Big Rapids area.
Ashley
I have been loving the Fun2Fun tank everyone seems to be getting!
