Congratulations Are In Order

Happy Weekend!

Today is one Scott and I have have been looking forward to for quite a while. Currently, we are at our gate ready to head to Florida and spend the week with loved ones!

Too bad the weather is finally better in Michigan for once…

On our way to the airport this morning, I heard about certain areas of Florida that are flooding and can only expect more rainfall for the next few days. Ha! I guess that beautiful weather we have been dreaming about will have to temporarily wait.

We can’t get too disappointed, however, because this weekend is filled with things to celebrate!

When booking our flights down, we chose to fly out of the Flint Airport which is about 45 minutes away from home. Nichole is from the area and to kick start a very special Graduation Weekend, her mother treated us all to a fun night’s stay right next to the airport.

Nichole drove over to our neck of the woods to pick us up and had no idea she would be arriving back at a hotel room filled with balloons, champagne, and yummy snacks. Isn’t her mom the cutest?

Congratulations, Nichole + Billy! We are so proud of you!

The main reason of our visit home is to attend a loving couple’s wedding. Say some extra prayers that the rain holds off tonight for the nuptials, will ya? We can’t wait to get down there and get to celebrating with them!

I plan on checking in on the blog regularly this week, and I’m sure we will have plenty to catch up on when I do. But for now… it’s time to board and make our way down to the (hopefully) (eventual) sunshine.
