Guess what? It’s Friday! And around here, we spend Friday mornings reminiscing on the week and share things we have been loving lately.
This one has been one heck of a whirlwind. There’s been several birthday celebrations, exciting news, and even a return to wearing glasses thrown into the mix. Why not go out with a bang and continue the party?
I hope you enjoy reading Friday Favorites as much as I enjoy putting them together. Don’t forget to join in on the fun and share yours in the comments section and/or link-up below!
Friday Favorites #35: Week of 5/2
• Vera Bradley clutch + accessories
I admit it. I own a ridiculous amount of Vera Bradley bags and accessories. Scott thinks the prints are made for grandmothers, but I have always loved the brand, fun colors and designs.
I received this adorable Simply Violet purple set from Nichole last week as part of a birthday present from her and her family.
Simply Violet Knot Just A Clutch, Opera Wallet, and Show & Tell photo album
I think the knot on the front of the clutch is so cute and the print is perfect for going out and about this spring. My friends certainly spoiled me this year. Thank you SO much, Nichole!
• Yes To Cucumbers gentle milk cleanser
I’m guessing that by now you have probably seen a Yes To product or two on the blog before. After falling in love with the brand, I have happily accepted a title of being a Yes To Girl and receive a shipment of products every now and then to share with you.
Just so you know, all Yes To products are ninety-five percent all-natural, recyclable, and free of parabens, sulfates (both SLS + SLES), and phthalates. All five sub-brands (Yes To Cucumbers, Yes To Blueberries, Yes To Carrots, etc.) are made from real fruits and vegetables and only use organic ingredients. (Holla!)
My must-have skin care product is the Yes To Cucumbers hypoallergenic soothing wipes (shared in my #FFavorites two months ago!) and most recently added to that category is the gentle milk cleanser and calming night cream.
I seriously look forward to washing my face at night when I know I will be using this cleanser. It’s fabulously soothing and unlike any other I’ve tried before.
• Michigangster tee
Here’s another throw back from a previous #FFavorites mention. Remember my Isn’t For Sissies tee I received as a gift (or possibly reward?) for surviving my first unbearable winter in Michigan?
Scott also received one, but it was too big. I exchanged it for a smaller size and only have great things to say about the staff over at Michigan Awesome.
Michigangster through and through. (Thanks again, Alex!)
• Van’s Natural Foods gluten free snacks
A couple of weeks ago, I was contacted by the lovely folks over at Van’s Natural Foods when they noticed my ever growing love for their gluten-free waffles and french toast sticks.
They offered to send me some of their favorite better-for-you snack swaps, and who am I to say no. I opened the package earlier this week and really have been loving everything I found inside.
First up were these PB&J Bars: a blend of real peanut butter and fruit jelly, sandwiched between two whole-grain gluten free bars. Less messy PB&J sandwich snacks you can take with you? Yes please.
As a huge cracker lover, I was most excited to see these Say Cheese! and Fire Roasted Veggie crackers.
(Nice knowin’ ya, Cheez-Its.)
And you all should know how I feel about chips by now. Swoon.
Gluten free nacho and BBQ flavored chips that taste just as drool-worthy? I don’t know if it really gets any better than that.
Well played, Van’s. You officially got me looking for your products outside of the freezer section!
• Pentatonix/Country Radio on Pandora
As I mentioned yesterday, I am more than just a music lover. I’ve definitely crossed over into the music freak category and don’t even feel embarrassed to say it.
What’s been constantly playing in the background on my computer these days is Pentatonix Radio on Pandora.
The best part, however, is that by liking so many country songs along the way, the once acapella dominant station has now turned into an even 50/50 mix with country. I’m actually proud of it and have, in turn, channeled my inner high schooler car belting when a good country jam comes on. It’s fine.
• surprise birthday basket
Have I already mentioned how much I love my friends this week? I mean…
I found this gem floating on my front door step earlier this week and thought the gesture was incredibly sweet! Not to mention, the basket included some of my favorite things in life including pumpkin and chocolate goodies.
I also can’t wait to bust out this gigantic cappuccino cup for coffee soon!
(Ain’t that the truth!)
Thank you, Katlyn! You really did stump me on my way in from walking Roadie with your ninja delivering ways.
• Florida for Megan’s Wedding
Ahh! Scott and I are leaving for Florida first thing tomorrow morning to attend this beautiful girl’s wedding festivities in Tampa.
Megan is one of my closest friends and teammates from Orlando and even came up to visit us last summer.
She is probably one of the sweetest people I have ever met and deserves the world. I am so excited to see her walk down the aisle to marry the man of her dreams this weekend!
Your Turn
Have a wonderful weekend! 😀

I’ve never used any Yes To products before but I’ve heard great things about them! I might have to give that cleanser a try since I love cucumber!
Have a safe and fun trip to Florida!

Love that coffee cup! Let’s be honest…I tried to switch to green tea, and it was awful! 🙂
Heather
Ha, kudos to you for even trying. I don’t think I’ll ever be that brave! 😉
Runner Girl Eats
Have fun in Florida! My favorite this week is my new barre socks. I love the funky prints…they almost distract me from the crazy shaking my legs do during class 😉
Heather
Aw thanks! I absolutely love barre socks. For classes, but also for around the house. Love the grips that make them feel like slippers!
Erin @ Girl Gone Veggie
Yes to products are the best! Happy Friday!
Heather
YES! Happy Weekend to you!

ARE WE GOING TO BE IN FLORIDA AT THE SAME TIME?!?!? We fly into Tampa on Tuesday!! We’re down there for 9 days and I CANNOT WAIT!
Ok, too funny about that mug, because we totally have that too!! My SIL lives with us, and she picked it up a few weeks ago to replace another mug she broke of mine. Let’s just say, I’ve put that thing to good use so far. I just LOVE how big it is!!!
Heather
Ahhhh! Stop, that’s awesome!! It looks like we are! We’ll be down there for a week and in back in Tampa the night of the 9th to fly out early the 10th. Too funny!
Also, can’t wait to use the mug! 🙂

That cappuccino cup looks so cute! I love it!
Heather
Coffee, soup, snacks, ice cream… I can name at least ten things to enjoy in there. Ah! Ice cream! Wait… what were we talking about? 😉
Ashley @ My Food N Fitness Diaries
I love Vera Bradley stuff too. I have several bags/totes/etc. and I can never get enough. They’re always coming out with new colorful and fun patterns!
Loving that mug! When it comes to mugs, the bigger the better as far as I’m concerned. 😉
Heather
Amen, sister!
