Hello, hello! I hope you have all had a great Tuesday so far.
I spent the morning dealing with some server and link issues. Again. Buttt, we’re back!
Today I wanted to dive back into a series I started on the blog last year called Fashion Favorites. Here, I compile some of the outfits I wore in that last month or season on the rare occasion I wasn’t in workout clothes.
To be honest, I wasn’t sure I wanted to continue on with this series. By no means do I consider myself fashionable, and nine times out of ten you will just see an entire post of selfies with anything but flattering lighting. I am also horrible at consistently capturing my outfits.
On the other hand, some of you have expressed interest in bringing this series back, so here we go! I completely skipped out on the last few months and figured when that happens, I could just clump the highlights together in seasons. I was starting to put together a list for Summer, but first, we have some catching up to do with Spring!
Those of you who have been following the blog for a while should already know that I am a bargain shopper through and through. Yes, I do have certain pricier items, but those are what I consider to be investment pieces that I can wear with anything like jewelry, purses, heels, or winter accessories I will wear year after year.
Everything else was most likely purchased at a discount or through Stitch Fix!

As you can probably see, Spring in Michigan is still pretty chilly. I wore my “Fall” boots well into April and May, which just seems bazaar to me (as a native Floridian). But, you do what you gotta do. I’ll never say no to oversized sweaters or long shirts with leggings or skinny jeans, and I have found ways to jazz them up with necklaces and scarves.
I definitely sported more of my “fashionable” outfits on trips where I failed to capture full body photos. I told you, I have no business doing these types of posts. Haha! What you see above is most likely what I wore to casual dinners, over to friends’ houses, or even to church. I’ll put a conscious effort into snapping more for next time!

Wow, I am loving that Pac-Sun jacket! Right now I am obsessing over Adidas SuperStar Originals in white with black stripes…that seem to be sold out in my size everywhere I look. My mother even combed over all of Las Vegas when she was there for me. No luck! I love seeing what people are wearing to get new ideas for outfits so I’m glad to see this series come back!
It’s one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe! I don’t wear it nearly enough. Good luck on your Adidas search!
You look so great in all of this! You definitely seem fashionable to me, and I love these types of posts. Lately I’ve been wearing nothing but shorts and tanks because it’s been so hot. Looking forward to days when I can wear boots again! By the way, that grey maxi looks amazing on you!

Aw, thank you Gretchen! I appreciate the compliments, even if I don’t agree. 😉 Shorts and tanks have been my go-to this summer too!
As much as I don’t want summer to end, your pictures have me excited for skinnies, sweaters and boots! I’m sure I’ll regret saying that come February when I’m wishing for summer 😛
I knowwww… it’s starting to get chillier at night here which makes me think Fall will be here before we know it. I love Fall and vote we just skip right over winter to get back to spring 😉
I’m all about rompers and dresses whenever it gets hot out. My summer MO = no pants. Ever. 😉

Thanks! I forget I have it way too often. Have a great week Erin!
As a Texas girl, I feel for you calling that your Spring wardrobe. It’s definitely stuff that I would wear in the Winter(minus the dresses). It was all cute, though!
I’m loving and living in my boyfriend shorts and tanks this Summer. I am looking forward to Fall so that I can bust out my Frye boots I purchased last year. Like you, I buy clothes on a budget so these were a real treat!

Haha, I appreciate the sympathy! It has been a huge adjustment, and trust me, I miss the days of being able to sport a sun dress and flip flops all year long…. but I have appreciated being able to purchase seasonal clothing items I can wear for a good portion out of the year too. I love fall and winter accessories!
While I usually never want summer to end, I just got excited about boots again! Cute outfits 🙂

Great post. I love the outfit with the black Marshalls top and black boots.
