Hi friends! Gosh, this week is flying. How is it Thursday?
I guess I am feeling more pressure than normal because the new site is scheduled to launch on Monday! Yep… this coming Monday, as in four short days from right now. Are y’all as excited as I am?
I have literally spent all of my free time glued to the computer this week getting pages and archives organized. As soon as I publish this post, I will be back at it and will see you all again back here tomorrow for the very last Housewife Glamour version of Friday Favorites! Gah. So crazy.
Anyways, today I wanted to share my latest box of fashion goodies with you, also known as my latest Stitch Fix delivery. Let’s get right to it!
February 2015 Stitch Fix Breakdown
Almost every month, I receive a box from Stitch Fix (<- affiliate link), which is an online styling service I have blogged about more than a few times.
For those of you who haven’t heard of it, you can read more about how it all works here.
The short version of what these “fixes” entail:
• Sign up for the service and fill out an online styling profile.
• Receive your “fix” in the mail.
• Keep what you want, return what you don’t, and checkout online.
Fun, right? This month’s fix included:
This Market & Spruce Corinna Striped Dolman Top: $48
(, , )
This 41Hawthorn Shara Herringbone Vest: $78
(, , <- reversible!)
This 41Hawthorn Dita Sleeveless Ponte Dress: $68
(, , similar)
This Bay to Baubles Gaia Layered Gem Necklace: $28.
This Bobi Black Eamon V-Neck Gathered Waist Dress: $118
(similar <- want!, similar, similar)
I sent a specific paragraph of notes to my stylist this go around. I have plenty of quality pants and jeans from my previous fixes, so I requested tops and layering pieces. I also requested a “little red dress” for Valentine’s Day. Scott and I will be attending a wedding in Texas, and all of the guests are asked to wear red!
Let’s start with the dresses. When I first pulled both out of the box, I didn’t think I was going to like the V-neck at all. After I tried it on, however, I really enjoyed the design and fit.
I could definitely see myself wearing this to a wedding, so I got excited. Then I saw the $118 price tag. Meh. I just couldn’t do it.
Plus, for this specific wedding, I pictured more of a Valentine’s bright red for my attire. Sadly, this one had to go back.
(Return)
I’m wearing the Bay to Baubles gem necklace with both of the dresses. I liked it, but it was a maybe until I figured out the rest.
I tried on the 41Hawthorn ponte dress next. I liked the price better, but it felt more like a date night or business meeting with a blazer type of dress over a fun Valentine’s Day dress.
Right?
(Return)
It would be a great piece to have in my wardrobe, but since I still need to purchase a red dress for the wedding, I decided to pass.
I fell for the striped dolman top and vest as soon as I saw both pieces, and especially together. The length and fit of the top was spot on!
(Keep)
I am just going to pretend that I don’t own enough striped shirts already and keep rolling with this one. It is extremely comfortable and will be a great piece to layer with vests, jackets, scarves, or even wear on it’s own with jeans, black pants, or even leggings. Boom.
I really, really wanted to love and keep the vest. I thought it was adorable and couldn’t wait to try it on!
It was a little to big for me to be fully comfortable purchasing, which was a total bummer. I have a serious love for vests this time of year, and this one hit my style to the tee. I loved the print and pockets!
(Return)
Unfortunately, I couldn’t justify the vest and non-perfect fit for the price.
I wanted to keep the necklace, but I decided it was best for me to send it back and save that money to purchase a necklace that would match my red Valentine’s dress… whatever that may be.
Overall Review
Stitch Fix boxes have always been a hit or miss for me. This fix hit closer to my style than the last few boxes I have received, so I was happy about that.
After checking out with my last fix in December, I was very specific in my notes to my stylist. I didn’t need any additional pants, I needed a red dress for a wedding, and I wanted to focus on layering pieces. I guess I should have been more specific on the shade of red (not maroon or burgundy), but other than that and the price of the v-neck, it was pretty close.
I think my stylist did a great job and noted that she took a look at my Pinterest fashion board. That is where she noticed I liked vests and layering with stripes, so that was great to read.
I always enjoy the simple pleasure of receiving a box full of fashion surprises at my doorstep, so whether I keep the entire box of items or nothing at all, I still do enjoy the service. Here’s hoping next month’s gets even better!

OMG, I can’t wait to see your new blog. I think I should have got professional help haha. Live and learn. The first dress was super cute, but I can see why you didn’t keep it. I probably wouldn’t have either with that price tag! Hope you find a super cute dress for the wedding though and can’t wait to see it when you do!
