Hey, hey everybody! Happy February!
How is it treating you so far? Mine is fantastical. (<- yup, I did in fact just make up that word.) I am running around like some kind of crazy person, but have determined to make today a good one.
While searching for an inspirational quote this morning – which is something I tend to do on days where I feel a but sluggish – I stumbled upon this pretty wonderful motivational picture:
Note taken. Will do.
Today is the start of a new month, as part of a new year, and no matter how crazy it gets (because my schedule is starting to look prettttty crazy) I am sticking to my guns of staying positive, letting go and enjoying the ride every step of the way.
Subway Pickles
Speaking of fresh and new, I made a pit stop at Subway today to eat fresh for lunch.
I ordered my typical turkey and American cheese on wheat six inch (loaded with veggies), and washed it down with an Energy Tropical Citrus Vitamin Water I brought on my own.
It was just what I was hoping for… nutritious and delicious.
Good, but I have to point out that I noticed something a little different about my sandwich today. The pickles! They tasted less “dilly” and more “regular kosher pickly” if that makes sense.
They had a lighter color, and if you ask me, I would say that they must have run out of their regular stock and quickly ran to the store to replace them. Hey, “less dilly” pickles are still good pickles in my book!
As I finished up, I could not help but notice the new cookie flavor on the flyer in front of me. It is really hard for me to see the words free and cookie next to each other and not drool.
Berry Birthday? Sign me up!
You better believe I will be back on President’s Day to try that bad boy out. Nobody can deny me a little treat every now and then!
Surprise at the Door
I told you that today has been filled with fresh and fun things. One of my favorite things to come home to (besides my husband and furry family members) is a package at the front door.
The pictures on the box instantly gave was was inside away, and I shrieked like a little girl as soon as I spotted it.
Chobani was nice enough send me two of their new flavors to try out!
I have already dug into the Non-fat Pear flavor and it was tasty, as expected. I will be sure to report on the Low-fat Banana soon.
I just love me some Chobani Greek yogurt!
Over in the kitchen I found one last surprise for the day… 70s accessories! Sound random?
We have a 70s theme at the Pistons Game tonight, and we get to dress up in our own gear to dance in for the entire first half! While he was out, Scott was a doll and picked me up a few goodies to accessorize my outfit with. I cannot wait to get dressed up and shake my groove thang on the court tonight!
Oh, and it looks like Scott might have something up his sleeve as well…
Should I be worried?
Happy fresh and fun start to your weekend and month everyone! Hope it’s been wonderful already! 🙂
