It’s Friday! I don’t know about you, but I sure am looking forward to the weekend.
Strangely enough, I’m not scheduled to work in the morning, and the only plans on the docket is a get together with friends for the Super Bowl on Sunday. (Who are you rooting for?)
Today is one to celebrate as we take a look back and talk about what we have been loving lately with Friday Favorites.

Friday Favorites #127: Week of 2/5
• Dogeared elephant pendant necklace
I received this Dogeared ‘Reminder – Strength’ Pendant Necklace in the mail last week as a gift from one of my besties from high school, Ashley. It came wrapped in a beautiful silver Nordstrom box and is a piece of jewelry that I already love and cherish.
The elephant pendant comes with different meanings (“Lucky Us” & “Good Luck“), and this one is labeled “Strength” to represent your own power to dream and thrive.
I love what the box says, too…

I thought it was so sweet of her to think of me, and I can’t wait to wear it. (Thank you!)
• resistance bands
Shout out to resistance bands this week! They’ve gotten me through a few intense workouts, and I have also been incorporating them into my clients’ workouts.
I personally use this resistance band set at home, and pictured above is a variety of SPRI Xertube resistance bands that we have at the gym. Resistance bands are great tools that can be used for strength training, high rep exercises, injury rehabilitation, and stretching. You can throw a band or two into your suitcase and easily complete workouts like this or this one the next time you travel!
• The Bouqs Company flowers
I had never heard of The Bouqs Company flowers until a bouquet showed up on our doorstep last week. This bright and cheery bunch of flowers (pictured several days after I opened them) came wrapped tightly in a box, straight from eco-friendly sustainable farms in Equador and were grown right on the side of an active volcano. Literally.
They’re freshly cut the day you order, and shipping is always included in the $40 flat fee ($50 for next-day delivery from California), no matter which bouquet you choose. Bouq.com flowers are very different than any other flowers I’ve received before, and I love how the site doesn’t try to upsell you. Pick a bouquet, order, ship for free. It seems pretty simple.
Scott remembers seeing The Bouq Company on Shark Tank, and although they didn’t come out with a deal, it’s a company I’m sure we will turn to a lot in the future. • Essie Neutrals nail polish
I’ve been a fan of Essie nail polish for years, and I’m loving this Lady Like nude shade that arrived along with some other goodies in a care package from one of my best blogging buddies, Julie.
Also pictured is Ultra Shea body butter from Bath & Body Works, which is something I am always in dire need of during the long, cold winter months in Michigan. (And the smell is amazing!) It was so nice of her to think of me and send over things she knew would make me feel pampered. Thank you so much, Julie!
• Grease Live
Did any of you see Grease Live last Sunday?
In case you missed it, don’t worry… you can stream it online. I expected to enjoy it, but that’s truly an understatement. Grease has always been one of my favorite movies, and seeing it filled with stars I love (Julianne Hough is amazing, but I think Vanessa Hudgens really shined!) and performed live on sets was a treat. The camera work and entire production was so good!
I have a feeling I might be playing it in the background today on the computer… because I’m ridiculous and it makes me happy. I hope you like it as much as we did!
• aromatherapy candle
Last and certainly not least is this fragrant Give Love Aromatherapy candle. If you’ve never seen this line at Target, it’s pretty dreamy. The candles are strong in the best way!
It came with love alongside tissues, an adorable mug, and hot tea that was sent from our dear friend Kelley. If there’s anything I learned from the week, it’s that we have incredibly sweet and thoughtful friends. (Thanks, Kelley!)
The love and support that we have received through this rough patch in our lives has been extremely overwhelming and comforting. Thank you so much to each and every person who thought of us and sent over a message, card, flowers, or even care package. We appreciate you, and your thoughtfulness means so much. <3

I never get to use resistance bands anymore and I miss them! All of my strength training comes from teaching BODYPUMP.

I LOVED Grease live! In high school our choir put on a production once every two years that included dressing up and dancing. One of those times included music from Grease which was so much fun to be a part of and not only was this show good but it felt like a little throw back of when I did it.
I am also loving those flowers, polish, candle, tea…..all of it 🙂

Would you please post some more resistance band workouts? I got a set for Christmas and didn’t really now what to do with them. I’ve already tried both of the workouts you listed and they gave me an awesome, killer workout! I’d love to try more. Thanks!

Yay for Friday! We just got home from Disneyland so it doesn’t really seem like a weekend but we’ll take it!
I got an order from Bouqs once but they were wilted after just a day 🙁 I was so bummed because I really wanted to love them but disappointed in the quality of the flowers….
Love resistance bands and have definitely been using them more often lately. Also LOVE Dog Eared necklaces. My son got me one for Christmas and I wear it almost everyday. LOVE how cute and dainty they are and the message that comes with it 🙂
