Hi friends! Happy Friday!
I hope you are all getting excited for the weekend ahead. Sorry for the delay in getting this week’s edition of Friday Favorites up on the blog today. I’m working a double at work and finally had some time this afternoon in between meetings to take a break and check in with y’all. How’s it going?
While I’m also working tomorrow, I am looking forward to a few free nights ahead. Scott and I are celebrating a friend’s birthday tomorrow night with tickets to a show/escape room called Paradiso. They’ve been texting me all week with messages and videos. I’m super intrigued!
Back to today, I want to thank you to to each and every one of you who checks in for #FFavorites week after week! I really do appreciate you and hope you enjoy reading.
Now onto this week’s faves!
Friday Favorites #174: Week of 4/7
• NAKED3 Palette
I’m sure this is old news to a lot of you, but I’ve been eyeing the Urban Decay NAKED palettes for years and finally picked one up last weekend. I couldn’t decide between the , , or 3, but decided on the one I did by the hues of eye shadow.
I like to stick to neutrals with a touch of glimmer and don’t usually use darker shades unless it’s a big night out. The whole palette came with twelve colors and a brush, and I thought that was a steal for $54 at . Do any of you own a NAKED palette? I’m excited to get more adventurous with the colors this weekend!
• Thug Kitchen Party Grub Cookbook
Scott and I found this Thug Kitchen Party Grub cookbook in a store a while back (I’m guessing Urban Outfitters?) and thought it would be fun to cook with. The recipes look delicious, but even better, the entire book is hilarious. The chapter titles like “Bada** Breakfasts and Bougie Brunches” and “Bro-down Throw Down” caught my eye right away, and the best part about it all is that the recipe book was sent to us as a gift.
Our friends Jenn and Ryan, from Detroit, came to a lot of our social gatherings where Scott would test out new recipes and cook unique things for the group. He loves trying new, interesting recipes, and this book is right up his alley. Seeing this in the mail gave me the biggest smile, and I’m looking forward to hosting more at our Brooklyn apartment soon. Thanks for the sweet gift, Jenn and Ryan!
• Tile app tracker
Those of you have been following the blog for a while might remember me mentioning that Scott is a huge fan of gadgets that make life easier. I mean, I am too, but it’s hard for him not to try something when he sees it. That said, when I saw the tile app tracker pop up on one of my news feeds, I knew I had to get it for him and … well … myself.
We’ve both gotten considerably better at keeping track of the every day essentials like house keys and cell phones, but it’s always great to know that someone has eyes on our keepsakes. In this case, it’s tile.
The tracker comes in different sizes and quantities, and I opted for the 4-pack of tile Mates for $70. I’ve only used one so far for my keys, but Scott used both of his on his keys and inside his wallet. They have the tile Slim option as well, that is more ideal for a wallet, but it works!
Simply download the tile app and connect the devices to your app by pressing the tile button. You activate the tile’s music tone to go off by selecting “Find” on the app, and can even locate your iPhone from the tile. It’s pretty cool and well worth the investment!
• new PINK (Victoria’s Secret) unders
There’s something about buying new unders that makes me feel so much better about myself. In need of a major overhaul, I said goodbye to plenty of outdated pairs and sprung for a new spring line of underwear on a recent trip into Victoria’s Secret.
I love the variety of materials and colors PINK offers, and you can always find them at great prices. I took advantage of the last weekend and don’t know why I always wait so long to replace them. Fun fact: I actually used to work at Victoria’s Secret in college and spent all of my paychecks on retail. It’s fine.

Carrie this fit chick
Woah, they made a Naked3!!? I have the 1 and the 2 and didn’t think they would keep going! They are all great though. I’ll have to check out the 3. I’m loving the sunny weather in SF, although we got hit with some rain this morning-ugh, but other than that, it’s been sunnier and nicer out!
