Good Morning and Happy Friday!
Any fun plans on deck for the weekend? Any exciting events to attend? Date nights? Dates with your sweats and Netflix? I’d honestly be excited for any and all of those options!
Scott and I aren’t sure what we’ll be up to this weekend, but I’m just looking forward to spending some time with him. It’s been a pretty rough and emotionally exhausting week for both of us. I’ll be filling you guys in soon enough. For now, please keep us in your prayers.

Friday Favorites #97: Week of 7/10
• body sprays
I have been all about carrying body sprays in my gym bag, purse, and even car lately!
I bought a set of body mists from Victoria’s Secret over two years ago and am still using them. I got a set of four of the spray you see above from the . They were considerably affordable and smell great for an everyday wear anywhere scent.
• cherries
I don’t know why I ever steered clear of cherries. I thought I just didn’t like them until I finally decided to give them a fair try about seven years ago. Scott is obsessed with cherries, so I figured I needed to see what the fuss is all about and humored myself with a bowl.
You guys. Fresh cherries are where it’s at! They are a great healthy (and hydrating, if you can believe it) snack, have fiber, and supply lots of antioxidants.
And, they’ve been especially great this week. Yum!
• this swimsuit cover-up
I just love Francesca’s. I took my mom through the store while we casually walked The Village in Rochester a few weeks ago, and I found this adorable Kendra Swim Cover-Up on clearance.
It was originally priced around $50, but I got it for 40% off the sale price of $24 for about $15! I wore it on the boat for the Forth of July, and it was the perfect material and blend for a hot summer day and chilly night.
• Roadie’s mustache collar
After his last one broke, I purchased this bright and comical mustache collar on a whim from the Pet Department at Meijer over a year ago. I wasn’t sure Scott was going to like it, but for $10, I couldn’t pass it up.
Since we put it on him, he’s received more compliments on his collar than ever! I guess he can be pretty fancy. It still remains his main threads, so I guess you just never know where you’ll find the good ones!
• chicken wraps
This may sound weird, but I have had a serious adoration for chicken wraps lately. I go through phases with chicken… sometimes I’ll want to eat it at every meal, and other times I’ll skip it over for weeks. I guess is just depends!
This week, Yaya’s has been a lifesaver for me. I’ll get a chicken wrap on the way home from a long day at work and scarf it down in about two minutes. While I usually get their grilled chicken wrap, I mixed it up this week with a barbecue chicken and rice wrap this week.
There was plenty left over for lunch the next day, and I happily enjoyed it warmed up the second time around. I suppose I’ve been “on” in the chicken department!
• L’Oreal Sublime self-tanner
I realize I have mentioned on the blog at least handful of times. For the new readers, however, let me introduce you to my all-time favorite self-tanning lotion!
There are plenty of different ways you can catch rays during the summer, but there seems to be more cloudy than sunny days this summer in Michigan. Enter my love for an appropriate amount of tan from a bottle. You can find a full list of all of my favorite self-tanners as well as spray tanning tips in my Spray and Self-Tanning 101 post.
This exact version of Sublime (Instant Action) works immediately after you put it on, and I have been applying it every couple of days to keep somewhat of a “tan” going. I chose to quote “tan” because it’s necessary. Tan is one thing I am not these days. But hey, at least there are self-tanners like these to help a sister out!

Skyler did great walking into KINDERGARTEN with a big smile on his face this morning. I, however, was a bit of a mess on our walk home. 🥹
It’s wild how fast these 5 years with him have gone … 7 since we moved to NYC and into our apartment, dreaming of the day our kids would someday go to the *awesome* school right down our block. 🏫

Love roadie’s collar, Sasha has such a cure flip flips one, and an umbrella one. The grosgrain are our favorite collars.

My whole family has always avoided cherries, too – until the past couple weeks when my dad picked them up to try again. LOVING them. I honestly think I believed I hated them because I hate maraschino cherries…? But they’re completely different and cherries are awesome 😀
Right? I was the same way. I never liked the cherries on top of sundaes, so I never gave any of the other ones a chance. I’ve been missing out all these years!

Cherries are on my list too! I love having a handful before bed every night.
I have a body spray I picked up from VS at their winter semi-annual sale a couple years ago and I love it, but it’s a Summer scent so I try to only wear it during the Summer so it’s lasting me forever!! You look so great in that cover up from the 4th! Love that dog collar, we got Boomer one for Christmas and have yet to change his out. Cherries are usually a little too expensive compared to other fruits so I rarely get them, but when I do I love them. Have a great weekend and happy Friday!

Yes, you should! I swear I used to despise them. I eventually started buying them for Scott and then randomly decided to give them a try. Turns out, they’re delicious. Just watch out for the pits! 😉
I am making a stop at Ulta this week and I think that tanner is going to be on my list of “must buys” – the weather has not been great here in Chicago either. I question every day if the sun will come out.
You can find it just about anywhere – Target, CVS, even some grocery stores. I hope you like it as much as I do!

Girl, you live in the land of cherries in Michigan! We went and picked some last week and they were soooo delicious. Cherry Republic is based in Grand Rapids I believe, and they have some chocolate covered cherries to die for! Have a great relaxing weekend!

I am sorry to hear it has been a tough week! I hope your weekend is better and more relaxing. That toothbrush holder idea made me laugh so hard. I am totally that girl that avoids putting her toothbrush on the sink at a hotel. My husband literally thinks I am insane, but I am a custodial manager and see what types of cleaning practices or lack thereof go on daily. Lol noting this and using it in my travels next one. I’m going to keep on being crazy 🙂
