Get To Know Me Survey

Happy Friday! Since FitBloggin’ I have noticed a lot of new faces pop up around here. Hello and Welcome!

Every now and then, I get excited to read the bloggers I follow answer personal questions, because I feel like I am getting to know them. Isn’t this online world funny? We feel like we know people (in a non-creepy kind of way, of course.)

Today I wanted to complete a survey I recently saw pop up on Lisa‘s blog. I just love her. She is equally (if not more) obsessed with coffee and makeup than I am. If you get a chance, show her some love!

I only have a few minutes before I have to head out the door and assist HOOPER at an event, so let’s get right to the good stuff. Ready?

A. Attached or Single?

Well… kind of spoken for, hence the housewife part of the blog name.

B. Best Friend?

This is a tough one. I have a lot of close friends! But I would have to consider my “best” friend a tie between these two.

Oh, and these two.

They melt my heart and have my back every day.

C. Cake or pie?

Hmm. Cake. No pie. But only if it’s with my grandmother’s homemade pie crust!

D. Day of choice?

Well, Monday is probably the least popular answer here. I would say Monday, but I would totally be lying.

Sundays were my favorite for a while. I love waking up, going to church, and coming home to get ready for the week.

Now I’m stuck on Saturdays. I usually get to sleep in, then go for a run outside, then enjoy the afternoon with Scott and/or friends.

E. Essential Item?

Lots of those! Coffee, comfortable gym/yoga clothes, iPhone charger, water bottle, mascara, eyeliner, concealer, chap stick, fuzzy socks, athletic/running shoes… the list could really go on and on…

F. Favorite color?

I really don’t have one! If I was forced to choose, I would go with pink. I know… shocker.

G. Gummy bears or worms?

Bears. But I can’t remember the last time I have even had one. If I am going to go this route, give me sour straws!

H. Home town?

Orlando, Florida. Actually Longwood, Florida. I later moved to “real” Orlando right before we got married.

Now, it’s Detroit, Michigan. Actually Rochester Hills, Michigan… the “burbs”.

Luckily, both places surround me with lakes!

I. Favorite Indulgence?

Oh boy, what kind?

Food: blue corn chips + salsa… or guacamole… or bean dip. Basically anything I can dip a chip into!

Oh wait, I forgot about pumpkin. Definitely obsessed with that and these pumpkin spice muffins.

And then there’s that chocolate + mint combination that constantly haunts me.

Pampering: pedicures, facials, and massages. I need to get back into my beauty budget routine again!

J. January or July?

This is a weird question. But… considering we moved from down south to up north, I’ll give you one guess.

July. Because I temporarily forget we moved into the frozen tundra for a few months!

K. Kids?

One day. For now, we have three fur babies that keep us pretty busy.

L. Life isn’t complete without?

M. Marriage date?

7.22.2011. Our two year anniversary is quickly approaching!

N. Number of brothers/sisters?

I have one brother and one sister. I am definitely the baby.

Fun fact: both my brother and Scott were born in the same year, and are 11 years older than me!

O. Oranges or Apples?

Although I love clementines (same taste without that annoying peel), apples for the win!

I could snack on apple slices all day. Dip them in peanut butter and I’m done.

P. Phobias?

Oh geez. Here we go…

Lizards, snakes, sharks, sky diving (did it once… I’m good with that), dark water: lakes, some oceans (if I can’t see what’s in it, I don’t trust it), cold water (wet suits just don’t seem to help), scuba diving (clearly out of the picture with the things I just listed), and some roller coasters. <- recently posted about that one.

Call me weird, I’m completely okay with it.

I’ll be the girl laying out on the beach far away from everything I just listed! 😉

R. Reasons to smile?

Lots of reasons!

I love my life. It’s not perfect, but it’s finally at a point where I do what I love and love what I do. Not every day, but most days.

Even though my family is far away, I have them around.

And of course, the things we often overlook and take for granted: food on my table, clothes in my closet, and a comfy bed to sleep in every night. Feeling blessed.

S. Season of choice?

It used to be Summer, but I have a new found love for Fall since moving up north.

I took this photo our very first day of exploring our new hometown together, and I fell in love with the cool breeze and beauty of the Autumn hues here.

Plus… pumpkin makes it’s return. Fall wins.

U. Unknown fact about me?

I have never broken a bone in my body. *knock on wood*

How, I have no idea. I am probably one of the clumsiest people you will ever meet! (Ask my friends.)

V. Vegetable?

All of them. Except maybe brussel sprouts. I wish I loved them, but I don’t.

W. Worst habit?

I have a new awful habit forming of biting my cuticles. Gross. Think I need to throw manicures into my pampering?

X. Xray or Ultrasound?

Does anyone really have a preference on this one? Considering I’ve only had X-rays (and only at the dentist), I guess I take the first option.

Y. Your favorite food?

I really don’t think you want to get me going here. I love food.

I’ll narrow it down to Italian. 😉

Z. Zodiac sign?

Taurus.

Yup… pretty much what they said. I don’t know if the extremely part is necessary though. Personality wise, dead on!
