Friday night included a little white wine sangria, a few healthy appetizers and a whole ‘lotta beautiful jewelry!
Stella & Dot is based in San Francisco, and offers unique, fashionable high-end looking jewelry at more affordable prices. Their boutique-style jewelry and accessories are only available online, or through a Stella & Dot Independent Stylist.
When approached to host a Trunk Show by Stylist Krinki Chambers, I instantly fell in love with the brand and agreed to throw a party just a few weeks later.
*Please Note: Scott left for London last week and took our nice family camera with him. All of the photos below were taken by my iPhone only. Sorry for the blurs!

The trunk show was set up to last two hours. We had such a great time chatting and playing dress up, we ended up keeping poor Krinki an hour and a half over her time.
The jewelry was marvelous… but we will get back to that in a minute.
Healthy Party Food
I was instructed to keep the snacks simple. With that in mind, I deemed this small party an opportunity to try out some recent Pinterest finds.
First on the list were these rainbow fruit kabobs.
Red grapes, blueberries, raspberries, oranges, pineapple and kiwi are all you need to taste the (fruity) rainbow. The original picture I pinned came from Quick Dish by Tablespoon. She stopped and the raspberry, and I decided to even the skewer out by adding another blueberry and grape to each one.
Next up was another Pinterest find off of my Party Ideas board. The idea to creatively use peppers as dip holders originally came from Mundo Chica. I added a variety of dips by using hummus in the green pepper and a light ranch dressing in the red.
I kept drinks simple by providing distilled water with cucumber slices and white wine sangria.
This white wine and Fresca Sangria, originally from Eddie Ross, might be the easiest sangria recipe ever.
1 large bottle of white wine (I used a 1.5 Liter Chardonnay), a 2 Liter bottle of Fresca, sliced fresh fruit like peaches, strawberries and grapes and two minutes is all you need.
Although the recipe suggested fresh fruit, I instead chose to freeze the grapes and use frozen peaches to keep the sangria chilled. I added fresh strawberries at the last minute and placed a few frozen grapes in each glass.
Everyone raved about all three! Fabulous ideas as always, Pinterest! 😉
The Jewelry
Gosh, I just loved everything. Really. There wasn’t a thing on the table I would turn down if someone were to dress me in it.
From necklaces and rings, to earring and wrap bracelets I wanted one of everything in every color. I have a feeling I was not alone on this thought, either.
My personal wishlist I hope to complete has a good ten items on it. One of my must-haves were these Stackable Deco Rings, a set of three on the far right for $49.
We all tried on a little bit of this, a little bit of that and enjoyed flipping through the catalogs. My mom ended up ordering a few pieces and plans to host a trunk show of her own in late July!
Two more things on my wish list are the Rose Gold Cupchain this Renegade Cluster Bracelet in Gold.
I LOVED and yearned to own all of the dramatic earrings.
By the end of the night I had a little bit of everything on. In no way did the pieces I wore together coordinate together, but I was okay with that.
I had a blast dressing up in all the jewelry.
Classy Clashing and Fabulous. 😉
At times it felt as though we were all rummaging through someone’s closet. Dress me up fancy, Mom!
Most pieces I thought would be heavy turned out to feel the lightest.
That just goes to show you never know what pieces really look and feel like until you try them on in person. I am glad I got to host a Stella & Dot trunk show and plan to have Krinki back over for another casual party in the near future.
My Favorites
As hostess of the party, I get a percentage of the sales to put in a personal credit towards their store. So far, I have enough credits racked up to get my number one want:
The Interlock Cross Necklace
Score!
It would be impossible to picture everything I liked, but here are pictures of a few more items from my wishlist.
I found myself stacking bracelets upon bracelets.
Rocking an Arm Party, yes I am!
Hosting a Stella & Dot Jewelry Trunk Show is super easy, fun and rewarding. If you ever get the opportunity to go to one or even host one yourself, I highly recommend doing it.
Even if you don’t get the opportunity, you can always shop online.
For a girl on a tight accessories budget, these credits were just what I needed!
