This one is for all who love old fashioned holiday snail mail as much as I do. I hope you enjoy the sneak peek into our holiday cards, and be sure to enter the generous giveaway at the bottom, courtesy of !
I am a complete sucker for anything having to do with a festive holiday season. Give me a tree to decorate, a Christmas movie to watch, or a holiday playlist to listen to, and I’m the happiest girl in all the land.
While we haven’t been able to return home for the holidays over the last four years, Scott and I try to keep traditions alive and spread the holiday love as much as we can. One of my favorite traditions that we have kept since getting married is sending out a yearly update of what we’ve been up to in the form of a holiday card!
This year, I was thrilled when reached out to collaborate and help me create our personalized holiday card. I had too much fun browsing all of their options, and once I placed my order, I received our cards within five business days.
Still haven’t ordered yours? It’s not too late to for your family and get it out! Make sure to take advantage of and check out the to get the most out of your order.
If you’re wondering where the template came from, I made my own using Picmonkey software. You can also use Canva, and both programs are user-friendly and free to try. I kept adding layers and text until I was happy with my finished image, then saved it as a JPEG to upload as a “photo” for the back of the card.
(I’m also in love with this )
These cards came with envelopes printed with recipient addresses at no additional charge (love that!), which made getting them into the mailbox and on their way out to homes across the country a breeze. There was an option to add stamps too, if you’re looking for a one-stop-shop.
Some of you might remember my previous mention of Minted in last week’s Friday Favorites. I quickly learned that Minted is more than just a site to order holiday cards. It’s a wonderful source for personalized stationary, gifts, art, party necessities, home decorations, and more!
Whatever you’re looking for, I have some great news for you today.
Three lucky LIL readers will win $100 credit to use on holiday cards or anything else their hearts desire from the Minted website. Simply , then leave a comment on this blog post sharing what you would like to use the credit towards.

I’d also love to hear what some of your holiday traditions are. I don’t have enough downtime to bake cookies or treats to send out this year, but I might spend some of our Christmas Day baking and enjoying cookies to ourselves. Or, if I’m feeling lazy, maybe this easy Holiday Cocoa Reindeer Chow. Or both. (Always the best option, right?) You could even turn it into a last minute holiday gift idea for co-workers and friends!
Since we aren’t able to get home for the holidays this year, Scott agreed to bring some of our family traditions up here with us. We’re planning on finding a Christmas Eve service to attend and then curling up on the couch with a good Christmas movie and hot cocoa.
My family watches Christmas Vacation together every single year. I’ve probably watched it (er, had it on in the background while blogging or doing things around the house) five times already this season, so we might go for a different classic like Home Alone. Now that we live in New York City and I’ve had the pleasure of staying at The Plaza Hotel (<- what a dream), it’s neat to see those places appear in movies that I grew up on!
Happy Holidays!

Your cards look beautiful! I would love to use the credit toward new year/birth announcement cards. My daughter was born on 12/4 and I can’t wait to share her newborn photos. After having a quiet miscarriage on Christmas Eve 2015, I feel so blessed to have joyful news to share this year.
Hi Heather! You’re one of my favorite bloggers and I miss reading your posts. I hope everything is okay. XOXO
