You guys! StitchFix (<- affiliate link) officially has a new long-time subscriber, and that subsriber is me.
In case you missed it, I first blogged about this online styling company last month and explained exactly what a “fix” entailed.
Here’s the short version of how it works:
Sign up and complete a style questionnaire, schedule a date to receive your fix, open your box of goodies to review your items, try everything on, then decide what you want to keep and send back what you don’t. Out of the two fixes I have opened, I have kept five out of the ten items.
I have to admit that the most thrilling part for me is seeing the box on my doorstep. Once I realize it has arrived, I get giddy with anticipation. It’s kind of like Christmas morning as a child all over again, except now I am actually excited to see clothing inside!
Right away, I take the box downstairs and photograph everything (for you guys of course). At first glance, I can tell which pieces will most likely be keepers and try them on to confirm my predictions.
Generally, the fit in clothing sent to me has been spot on. The only piece that has been questionable is this (adorable!) pair of olive skinny jeans.
They were a tad too tight, and for the $88 price tag I figured I could use the look as inspiration to find a better fitting pair in person elsewhere.
Also, I didn’t feel the need to try on the Carlotta Side Gathered Short Sleeve Blouse, mainly because my line of work doesn’t require many dressy blouses at this moment of time. That one was priced at $58.
I did, however, try on and absolutely swoon over this Loren Hope Winslow Bow Detailed Cuff for $48. It fit great, but for budget reasons decided to include it in my return at the last minute.
(You’re welcome, Scott.)
I was pumped over the two items I did keep! First up is this THML Zula Contrast Polka Dot Open Cardigan.
I couldn’t get over the opposition of polka dot fabrics next to each other. It might just be the best piece in my entire wardrobe! It cost more than I hoped at $78, but I can already tell will be well worth the investment. I wore it almost the entire weekend in Savannah and received tons of compliments!
My closet also now holds a special spot for the Pink Martini Felicity Mixed Stripe Long Sleeve Sweater. I looove how comfortable, soft, and over-sized it is, priced at $48.
I have worn it several times over the past few weeks (oops) and with the prepaid styling discount of $20, have already justified the purchase for “$28”.
The favorite part about the fixes is the included style guides with a special note from the stylist. It’s a great tool you can keep for styling tips and tricks on every item in your box.
Each one is dressed both up and down, showing examples on how to feature the piece multiple ways. Most are ideas I would have never thought on my own, like those heels and a statement necklace with that over-sized sweater. Love that!
Not only have I spiced up my wardrobe with a handful of awesome and fashionable pieces over the past few months, but I have ventured out of my every day leggings and a sweater “Michigan winter” style. I am excited to use the guide to expand my wardrobe even more and am anxiously awaiting my next fix. Thanks for nudge in getting back a fashion sense, StitchFix!
Note: Although I included an affiliate link at the top, this post was not sponsored in any way. I pay for my service and the clothing on my own, and wanted to share the company with you to help spread the word because, well… it pretty much rocks.

Welcome to the darkside known as StichFix-aholics. They are truly amazing!! And I recently saw an announcement that they just hired on more stylists (which means a quicker turnaround time–lately it’s bee 3-4 weeks for the next available scheduling!!). I’m so glad they are growing and becoming more successful. It’s because of the addiction of clothing and surprises!
P.S. L-O-V-E that striped sweater!!!! I will be mentioning that in my next fix in case they have more in stock or something similar.

This is awesome. I’ve heard about this before, but then forgot about it. That’s so cool that they surprise you based on your answers to the questions. I love that sweater!!

I loooooooove that cardigan, as I told you on Instagram. I could just die! Unfortunately $78 is a little out of my price range for living in Tucson where sweater weather probably won’t last too much longer 🙁 Booooo. Looks fabulous on you though!
