This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of The North Face. All opinions are 100% mine. I hope you enjoy a peek into the new Mountain Athletics Line and take advantage of the awesome giveaway opportunity at the bottom!
Just shy of three years ago, I knew I would finally get familiar with a brand many have grown to know, love, and outfit for performance and activewear. In the fall of 2012, my husband accepted a job offer in the Detroit area, and our little Florida family bundled up, migrated north, and haven’t looked back since!
The North Face is a brand I now rely on during the cold winter months that carries an extensive line of performance apparel, equipment and footwear. Their latest line, Mountain Athletics, features technical training apparel, footwear, and clothing with technology that is designed to help various levels of athletes get outdoors.
I was given the opportunity to pick out an outfit to review, and I was excited to see how this collection can help push the boundaries of exploration and support me doing the outside activities I love!
Mountain Athletics from The North Face is a unique and extremely effective performance line. By using active stretch fabric, it provides durability and offers range of motion and performance to help athletes and fitness goers train outdoors.
Mountain Athletics apparel uses FlashDryXD, a technology that won’t snag or pull. The materials stretch, flex, and move with you through your workout while keeping you dry!
This collection of athletic clothing is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy activities like running, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, and training for their next climb.
While visiting the retail store, it was a challenge to pick just one outfit to take home with me.
From the Women’s Dynamix Hoodie and Dynamix Leggings to the Motivation 1/4 Zip and Suprema Vest, everything looked so comfortable and cute.
I tried on a variety of items from Mountain Athletics, and could have easily left with one of everything. I knew I wanted the Motivation Crop Legging as soon as I saw it in Ink Spot Blue, so I paired a handful of bright colored mix-and-match pieces to try on with them.
I would have loved to take the Women’s Flow Tank home, but it just wasn’t as practical as a warm jacket for training outside for the majority of the year in Michigan.
Instead, I clung to the Women’s Supra Full Zip Hoodie. I loved the warm but flexible feel and the green and coral color combination.
Throughout the winter and even spring months (ohhh the polar vortex), I often turn to a couple of thin but warm jackets from my own North Face collection whenever I go for a run. I love how long the sleeves come down to my fingers and comfortable thumbholes. They’re the best!
The Supra Full Zip Hoodie has been especially great on the trails! It does a great job of keeping me warm, comfortable, and cozy on my walks and runs. I took it and the Motivation Crop Leggings for a spin last week, and didn’t want to take them off when I returned home. Both items are so, so comfy!
I would highly recommend anyone looking to gear up for training (indoors or outdoors!) to check out The North Face site and retails stores to purchase picks from the Mountain Athletic line. In fact, here’s a little incentive to get you going…

I love all of their stretch fabrics, especially for cycling
I live on the east coast of Canada so I definitely rely on North Face products to get me through the chilly months and my rain jacket is also North Face so I appreciate it during the rainy weather we’ve been getting.
I absolutely love the leggings you got and will definitely pick up a pair if I win this giveaway 🙂
The North Face coats and jackets are so great for the rain. They had a whole raincoat section I was dying to check out when I was in the store!
Awesome giveaway Heather! As a New Englander, I definitely share your love of North Face products. I think it’s almost mandatory in this area lol.

Love love love North Face! I work at a sports store, and we carry a lot of their products, and I’m always finding more and more things from them I want { aaaaannnnnddddd I’ve bought none of them hahaha }. And with the fact that I’m most likely moving back east in a couple weeks, the weather scares me, this would be awesome to help me get some warmer clothes so I don’t freeze to death haha!
Nice, warm clothes are at least one perk of moving into freezing climates! When I agreed to move to MI, that came along with a free pass to layer up with a new closet, too. 😉
Oh, such pretty colors. I completely agree with choosing a hoodie. Even when we do get those warm summer days, I end up throwing on a hoodie once the sun sets. Pure Michigan!
It’s very tempting… I might just have to go back in a month or so! 😉
I love that flow tank. But I totally understand what you mean – i’d go warm, too!
I always struggle when it comes to winter training on apparel, so this FL girl is definitely in need of some legit winter running wear!
Cute stuff! I love North Face! Their denali jackets are my favorite!
Love North face for Michigan outdoor activities too! Finally warming up though 🙂
I got the Miss Kit Zip Fleece Sweatshirt this year as an “in between” before the winter hit full on puffer status. It has been a LIFESAVER!! Gone are the days of sweating in my parka or freezing in a long sleeve shirt or something. LOVE YOU NORTHFACE
I love the color of your zip up! It’s perfect for spring.
Need that green hoodie in my life. So colorful!!
I love The North Face! I have a jacket from them that is 4 years old and still looks brand new. It’s definitely my go to for cold weather running. The thumb holes are the best!
I love that zip up!!
I love that tank you tried on! It’s adorable. I live in Texas, so I think I could get some good use out of it! 😉
Such a great outfit! North Face clothing makes me wish I lived in colder weather. It’s almost 100 degrees here in Arizona!
Love North Face! Those leggings look great, and I love that flow tank you tried on!
Hoodies with thumb holes are the best!
i love how long the hoodies are, so slouchy cozy cool!
Awesome giveaway! Love the hoodie
I love the North Face!
Thanks for the awesome giveaway! I have actually never owned something from the North Face..would love to try it out!
I have a fall/winter coat that is soooo comfortable and cute, too!
This is right up my alley – living in Duluth MN means that North Face is a frequent company I look at for winter items I may need. I have a Denali coat that I purchase forever ago, and STILL love to wear it!
I love North Face and could definitely use some of those tanks here in Oklahoma.
I LOVE their fleeces and own several of them!
Those fleeces are KEY when living anywhere with a bit of chill in the air!
I love North Face! I love their fleeces and hoodies, but that tank top looks awesome! I haven’t seen one around here!
Oooh, a sweatshirt like that is exactly what I’d get!
Love north face!!!!
I love their jackets and hoodies <33
I didn’t own any North Face pieces until moving to San Francisco from Florida, actually. We never needed it in the Sunshine State! My favorite backpack is North Face, as well as a few jackets. Cute stuff! 🙂
I need a new back pack. I’m sure The North Face backpacks are great!
You are adorable! North Face has always been one of my favorite brands. They’re snow boots are a lifesaver in the winter, and my rain jacket is a favorite in the spring. Cute!
I’ve been eyeing their rain jackets!
Living in Southern California, I admittedly don’t need many cold weather workout items, but I’m such a sucker for jackets with thumbholes!
I’d love to try the flow tank! I live in Arizona so warm weather clothing is much more practical! 🙂
I live up here in MN so I can relate to the cold and extreme temps : /
My goto Northface piece would have to be the sweat shirts. They are so comfy and versitile. Thanks for this giveaway : )
Love that jacket, and the color is adorable!
Love the flow tank! I will have to check out more of their clothing. I didn’t know it was so cute!
I love the vests! My best friend has one and I always adore it.
I would love to try the leggings or hoodies!!!!
I bought a new winter coat from the North Face this year, and it has been the best decision for my Michigan life as well! So windbreaking, so warm. So pretty.
I have been a North Face girl for all of my life. I grew up in Traverse City and I think it was the (un)official sponsor of all teens. Ha! Their jackets really are the best, though!
I love North Face! You see their jackets all over Michigan.

I love the Suprema Zip hoodie and the flow tank, but I’d really love to try the kilowatt trainers!
Love love LOVE the Motivation Crop Leggings–I can’t get enough tights/leggings in my life. Want. Those. Love the color, love the fit–looks great on you!
I love The North Face! That sweatshirt looks super comfortable, and I have been thinking about getting a North Face rain jacket!
The Supra Jacket you’re wearing has the cutest color combo!
I love that tank and hoodie! They look so comfy.
The best giveaway!! I love the hoodies too, they are great running assets!
Oh that jacket. I think that is my favorite. I’m from New England and when I run with my dog at 6:15am it can be downright chilly.
Oh, I bet! I’m sure your dog loves his/her mornings with you 😉
I LOVE North Face! I recently went on a 2 week trip to Chile and their gear powered me through the wind and cold!
WOW, a 2 week trip to Chile sounds amazing!!
My favorite product so far has been my Denali jacket!
My favorite outdoor work out is running because I’m so lucky and live in California where weather is always nice.
Oh, you are a lucky one! Enjoy running for all of us in the best weather I’ve seen! 😉
Love your outfit! Can you tell me how NF sizing runs?
Thanks! Well, it depends. I own a XS running jacket that fits perfectly, but this jacket in an XS was just a little bit short in the sleeves. Generally the fit is pretty dead on. I normally wear a small in pants, and their small fits great on me! The tops might depend on the style, so I would go with the bigger size if you are between two!
