Hello friends! It’s Thursday. While I was putting together a more content driven post this morning, I kept distracting myself. I’ll get around to that post later, but for now… it sounds like it would be a good time for another edition of Thinking Out Loud!
I’m so glad a lot of you like reading these random thoughts and musings every now and then. I certainly enjoy putting them together!
• Have you ever seen or tried these fruit packets at Starbucks?
I noticed these fruit snack packets a while ago and never got around to mentioning them until now.
I haven’t tried them yet, but I am happy that someone is obviously on the same page as me with real fruit in a to-go packet. Hence my obsession with fruit flavored baby food packets. Do they or do they not look the same?
• When I get pregnant, I hope to look even a quarter as put together as Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere.
Seriously. Isn’t she the cutest? I’ve been thoroughly impressed with her outfits throughout her entire pregnancy. I can’t wait to see how she dresses the little one! I picture them having a lot of complimentary outfits, but never super matchy-matchy.
• I almost forgot how much I love yoga…
Until I reminded myself yesterday.

• I don’t understand how it got so cold so quickly.
When I picked Scott up at the airport on Sunday, it felt nice and in the 50s. That was um… four days ago. Seriously. What the heck?
I’ll just continue to layer up like a whacko. Scott and I went to church last night and both of us couldn’t believe how cold it was on the walk back to the car. With the windchill, it felt more like -10°. Our faces actually hurt. Why in the world does it ever get cold enough to make your face hurt? That just seems really unnecessary, weather Gods.
• Fingerless gloves: yes or no?
I love this pair of Steve Madden gloves I picked up at last year, but I have only worn them once or twice. See those chapped fingers?
Yeah. I feel like fingerless gloves are pretty pointless in Michigan. It’s just too cold to expose the fingers, or falanges (as Phoebe would say).
I think they’re adorable, but maybe I’ll just save them for trips down South during the winter months.
• The Detroit Pistons are making a huge comeback!
The Pistons (12-23) have now won seven games in a row since the day after Christmas! Last night, the team defeated the Dallas Mavericks (26-11) and ended their six-game winning streak. The next couple of months of the season will definitely be interesting. The way things are going, we might just even those losses out with wins! #woot
• I’m going two days strong sans coffee.
Anddd it hasn’t been easy. I ran an errand with Scott this morning, so I took my morning herbal tea and green berry juice from my cleanse with me.
I’m not going to lie… it’s also been pretty challenging for me to only eat raw vegetables as meals for days in a row. Y’all know I love my veggies! Buttt, I feel like I’m in overkill mode right now. And I really like to steam, roast, and dress them up. I’m leaning towards loving the juices a lot more than the raw foods at this point. One more day to go!
• Jock Jams Radio is rocking my world right now.
As much as I love listening to playlists and creating my own on Spotify, I was feeling the throwbacks today. And when I get in the mood for some awesome upbeat throwbacks, Jock Jams Radio on Pandora is where it’s at. Go ahead and listen to it for ten minutes. I guarantee I’m not the only one dancing around in my office chair.

I read Cupcakes and Cashmere as well and she is just fabulous and looking adorable with her baby bump! 🙂 My random thought for today is why do clothing stores change seasons so fast? I hae seen some lines promoting their Spring 2015 lines and I’m sitting here freezing in my winter clothes. lol!

I totally agree with you about Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere. There’s honestly been so many times where I can’t even tell that she’s pregnant from all of the flattering clothes she wears. I hope I look even a quarter as presentable as she does if/when I’m pregnant!

Turns out I’m completely ill-prepared for winter because it was 12 degrees this morning in VA and I have NO gloves. I had to borrow my husband’s hat cause I didn’t have one of those, either haha.

Ohhh I can’t do fingerless gloves here unless I’m looking for frostbite… which is sad because I think they’re super cute! That being said, I do weather them when I’m at home typing on the computer sometimes, because my hands tend to get cold. And I swear that Emily looks more put-together than I do… and I’m not even pregnant!
