Good Afternoon! I don’t have much time to chat, but wanted to say hello and at least share a great workout meant for the outdoors that I threw together at the last minute yesterday.

When I’m traveling, I don’t always have a lot of time to work out. I’ve learned that thirty or even twenty minutes is a lot better than nothing, and when I can’t make it to a gym I love doing these types of no-equipment-needed exercises.
Yesterday, I had exactly thirty minutes to fit in a workout, so I originally planned to spend it strictly running around campus.
About a mile in, I got the urge to target something else besides cardio and came up with the circuit you see above on the fly. It turned out to be a good one, and sure got me sweaty while I made my way around the lake and surrounding streets off property!
After skipping an entire weekend of workouts, it felt good to do at least a little somethin’ somethin’ for my muscles. All you need for these types of workouts is half an hour and the great outdoors, baby!
Well friends, it’s time to get back to camp and family time.
See you tomorrow with a drink recipe, giveaway and another guest post!
Question of the Afternoon
• What are your favorite types of workouts while you’re on the road?
Lori
Funny thing…I went to SEU and my husband and I live literally 1 min away and walk the campus all the time. Was wondering if that was where the camp was. Thanks for sharing a great workout and enjoy your time in Lakeland!

No way! That’s awesome! Hi from across the street! 🙂

I always try to find time to squeeze in a workout while on vacation. Especially when that vacation includes splurges 🙂 Actually just got back and managed to find time for a fun AMRAP workout plus a trip to the local fitness center for cycle!
Heather
Love when local fitness centers pop up! 🙂

Running is my favorite vacation workout. It requires no equipment and is a great way to see the sites.
Heather
Me too! I love running in a new city and try to get in a good loop at the start of every vacation!

I love this! I’ve been looking for ways to spice up my runs. I’m gonna try this out tonight 🙂

Love this! I’ve been doing a lot of just running and need to switch it up! Oh, and I love your bright shoelaces 🙂
Alex
Love this!
I’m also a victim of letting my fitness slide when travelling – usually because of the changing and unfamiliar enviorment.
I’m going to give this circuit a go, but here is my favourite way to keep fit while travelling, but it depends on where you are: Stair runs!
If I can find a good set of stairs, I’ll do a few stair sprints, followed by pushups and squats at the bottom. The best part is, walking back down the stairs usually comes with an inspiring view (at least it does here in Thailand, on my current trip)

Great stuff!
When traveling I often find myself struggling to get in my morning workout. I typically cycle for an hour every morning when at home but taking your bike with you on your work travels isn’t ideal. I think I might try and get into running, all you need is a good pair for shoes!
Heather
Running is always my favorite way to stay active while traveling — you get to see the great outdoors and explore somewhere new while doing so!
