Greetings from snowy Michigan!!
Yes… you read it right. It is SNOWING! Since moving here we have gotten flurries a time or two, but today was the first time I have actually felt like I am now living in it.
I was so excited to wake up and see a winter wonderland in our backyard. I may have even let out a little squeal.
You can imagine how my reaction quickly changed when I realized I now have to drive in it.
What is a girl from Florida supposed to do with this?
I know it seems pretty self explanatory, but I called Scott outside to give me a little ice scraper 101. Thank goodness we invested in a few early!
While warming up my car, I took Roadie out for a few minutes to play potty sniff everything in sight. The first person to convince this guy to use bathroom when it is snowing gets five dollars.
He literally just stands there, sniffs, moves to a new location and repeats the process over and over again.
After ten minutes of this, I finally called him inside. We will try again a little later.
In all reality, I am pretty thankful of the weather. I hear from locals that this has been a pretty mild winter, and I will be a okay if I can keep Mr. Snow Shovel in hiding a little while longer.
With a defrosted and warmed up car, I was off and ready to try driving in the snow again. Do you remember how my first experience went? Yeah… I try to forget about it too.
Luckily, I looked at the weather forecast and made getting a new set of tires a priority yesterday. I am thanking my lucky stars today.
While at a red light, I took a second to look around and absorb the scenery. I know this is just the beginning of snowfall, but it looks so pretty to me!
It really is beginning to look a lot like Christmas! 😉
After a thirty minute drive, I arrived a little early to a new barre studio in Bloomfield Township. I took the the extra time to share snow pictures with my family and finish up breakfast with a banana.
I have taken barre at another studio around this area, but this was my first time taking X-Tend Barre. I kicked my booty and I loved it!
I will be sharing a full review of my workout and experience first thing Monday morning.
On the drive home, I had a few errands to run and stumbled upon a new favorite lunch spot. It is called Rio Wraps and and it’s not fast food… it’s fresh food fast. That is what their slogan says, and after trying it for myself I agree one hundred percent!
I was a little hesitant to order anything heavy since I am dancing later tonight, so I ordered a sandwich into a wrap and dropped the dressing.
Grilled chicken, green peppers, pineapple, and cheese filled a whole wheat tortilla and it was grilled to perfection. I ended up saving half of it for later so I could indulge in the chips and salsa that came with it.
I am always a sucker for chips and salsa! Everything was delicious.
With that, I am off. It is time to get ready for the Detroit Pistons Game tonight! I have to be there extra early today because…. drum roll please… I am dancing in a routine on court in the first half!
I am so very excited to perform with the dance team and will be sure to share how it went. Have a great weekend everyone, and three cheers for the world not ending today! 🙂
Woohooo!!!!
