Good morning! How are we feeling this morning?
I have a hunch some of you might need an extra pep in your step to get you back and ready to work today. Since Scott was overseas over the weekend, I used the last three days to really tackle my to-do lists. Yes, I said lists.
I cleaned out our closet and made giveaway piles, took down all of our Christmas decorations, cleaned the house, washed all of our pillows (when was the last time you did that?) and spent a good half of my days working on updating pages for the new site.

As you can imagine, I didn’t exactly do anything exciting enough this weekend to document through a normal weekend in photos recap. Instead, I wanted to dive right into the content this week and share my latest running and workout playlist with you.

Music has always been a motivator for me to get out there and run. I enjoy using the same music for workouts, and I would probably use similar playlists for teaching group fitness classes if I end up going that route. For now, my workout playlists help me get outside and go for runs more than anything!
After glancing at the projected weather forecast for the week on Friday, I knew I wanted to get one more good run with Roadie in before the temperatures really dropped. I threw on our running jackets, slipped on my Under Armour gloves, and looped us around four miles during the sunset.
There were patches of ice here and there, so I did my best to steer Roadie away from slipping on it. They can really sneak up on you!
Also, I want to personally thank all of my friends and family who posted pictures of themselves basking in the sun on the beach over the weekend. I too am living the warm and sunny dream.
Ha! Ignore me. I’m a bit dramatic, but you can probably imagine why I’m so into music with my workouts. It’s all I’ve got this time of year, y’all!
All right, I better go. I have a project to finish up and turn in very shortly.

Ahh I am totally with you music motivating me! But not just any music of course I love upbeat music for my runs that I can run to the beat of!
Exactly! Sometimes I catch myself running on beat. I guess that’s the dancer in me. 😉
I love working out to music, except that I can help but dance and/or sing when I listen haha. This isn’t a problem, but when I’m on a treadmill and moving all around, it gets a little harder and I look a little weirder haha.
Oh… dancing to good jams is a must. I’m sure I look like a big weirdo at times. It’s all good!
I always love finding new songs that people think are upbeat enough to run to. I definitely use those in my group fitness classes!
My workout playlists definitely veer towards more “dance” tracks! Probably a little too techno for some, but I love the beats!
New playlists are the best!! I just discovered “Dangerous” by David Guetta and I love it
